| -Bomber and Umaru make quite the pair. -Kanau x Taihei ship XD She made advances, but withdrew when she had her opportunity. She's lonely and has feelings for him, but she desires to maintain distance from love and friendship for whatever reason. Perhaps she knows he has a younger sister and doesn't want to pull him away from his responsibilities? -Umaru knows not of New Year's resolutions. -Episode was more heartwarming than I expected. The show is quite sweet and tender when Umaru's selfish antics aren't dialed up to 11. |

I really like this episode as it was really cool to see the characters celebrate new years and funny to watch kirie-chan takeshi dynamic. I also really liked when Umaru and onii-chan went to the shrine as I think it reflects a lot of the small still practiced cultural aspects of Japan in which a slice of life anime should showcase. Though the best part was the ending with Kanou as her reactions to タイヘイ were really adorable and especially the ending sequence when she looked at his photo. (though you could take it as creepy, in my opinion, it WAS REALLY ADORABLE.)  |
