HOLY SHIT, THE TRUTH BEHIND EVERYTHING?!

What is that thing?! It's changing its face and internals or whatever that is every second and its race gives a shit about mankind, sounds like they might even eradicate mankind themselves after the Gantz guys are done with their job.

I liked the way that monster changed faces all the time and ended with hittler.

I didn't like how he said that the way humans think their superior than ants is despicable and all the humans could die already. He's acting just the same way, wtf! hahaha

I am curious about what these beings intend to do now. I'm not sure they would wipe out humanity based on what they said, but they might move to take over to ensure that mankind does not go against their way of thinking.

This is also assuming that this being was not lying about some of what it said. It does appear that these beings had knowledge of Earth and humanity for a long time, so wouldn't they know how their message might end up being used as a sick game?

It is also kind of odd that these refugees were unable to invade a planet once before, and yet they try again.

I think the faces on the aliens are just a way for them to communicate with humans better. They speak human language and they use faces that we are familiar with to get the message across better.
But any-who......OH MI GOD!!!! This chapter answered 368 chapters worth of questions!!
I was kind of ticked of tho. I felt like kei and friends should have been asking a lot more questions.
Like "how are humans able to be revived". If I was in their position, I would be asking a hell of a lot more questions about the world. They also should have asked why their eyes were bleeding.

It said that those people inside the gantz balls were interpritations of randomnly selected people0 hence the revival system. I'm probably wrong but what I'm saying is a guess.

That does make sense but if it's true. Doesn't that mean they aren't technically human anymore?

With the truth finally being revealed, the last battle to decide the fate of the Earth is finally approaching. A this point, nothing can surprise me anymore.

I thought it was fairly obvious how people were revived. Its the same why they end in the room. Gantz simply makes a copy of them. So its not really revival per se, but just making another copy with limited knowledge of how they actually died.

-"Why can't people live without sacrificing others?"
-"That's how things are"

A few pages later they start bitching about how humans have little regard for lesser species. Why can't that be just "how things are"?

Not to mention they also say, "Even if hundreds or millions of you were to die, it would be of no importance of us. From our point of view, you are microscopic. No more than insects."

Isn't that way of thinking, human-like and arrogant?

Good chapter, but there are still a few things I'd like to know

1. Who is Sebastian? He seems pretty much like God to me.

2. Where did the vampires come from?

3. How could Kurono and Tae FLY THROUGH SPACE!?

4. Seriously, WHO THE FUCK IS SEBASTIAN???????

All your questions (besides the 3rd one) will probably be answered eventually. For the 2nd one, my guess is that when the humans were alerted by "God" about the approaching alien presence, they created vampires as a possible means to fend off the aliens. Possibly by injecting nano technology to specially selected individuals. This would explain the reason why the vampires are already well-supplied (because of the government) with weapons, money, and technology for fighting the aliens (ex. their sunglasses to spot them).

So, that's the big explanation, to cover all the stuff, Gantz brought up over the time? I always knew it couldn't satisfy me, but that was just bad.

Simply ignoring so many things, like for example Izumi saying that he knows, what Kurono means to Gantz. Implying Kurono is a special chosen one or something like that.

I also don't like the idea, the whole game-aspect being created by humans (probably the germans, who built the ball?). That part always was fascinatingly macabre. Now it's just human stupidity. Great.

And like Kosters said, these....things contradicted themselves, with the stuff they've said about humans. That alone makes it impossible for me, to take this serious.

They are saying that humans are inconsequential to the bigger picture and to them. It does sound like human arrogance at first but it makes no mention of an existentialist superiority to give themselves importance which they dismissed as a human trait.

I'm with the people who wants more answers. Been waiting for years and after this teaser I want more!

Great chapter! Finally we understand what's going on.
Although I have to say that I disagree completely with the message and philosophy that this manga is trying get across. An ant cannot suffer like a human being (not even close) so comparing a human's life with an ant's is quite unscientific, but whatever.

According to that, Human Perception has an universal value, and beings that don't share it are inferior. But isn't that just saying different=inferiority?
While human feelings are relevant to human interaction, they aren't for other species. Wouldn't we be from their perspective different, and as such, inferior?

Lets make one thing clear, humans used to be almost as dumb as animals and today after hundreds of thousands of years of existence have the intelligence to discover things about the nature of reality and moreover have the technology that gives us the ability to speak to each other about this subject from different places all over the world (like we're doing now). Meanwhile, animals live exactly the same way they did hundreds of thousands of years ago.. And I'm not saying animal's feelings are not important, but any neurologist can tell you that the suffering of ant or even a chicken isn't comparable to the suffering of a human being.
I don't think it's very controversial to say that humans are superior in many ways.. If you just want to call it "different" that's fine, but I don't think that's an accurate description.

Ah, but I didn't said anything about technology or animal feelings.

Isn't it all about perception? Such technological developments might not be important or relevant at all to some groups of people, not to say, to any other life form. Going past a religious view of ourselves, who's is to say what is important?

By all means, natural law says that the most powerful and developed survives, and ergo, it's superior. But, isn't this hold of power over others contradictory with that moral philosophy of importance by suffering, even more within only the human race?

Yeah, what was up with that? Wouldn't they, among other things, freeze to death?

1. "Getting hit/punch/kick" is nothing but getting high pressure on some part of body. Since the suit protects from hits and any other kind of physical damage, it must be protecting from low/high atmospheric pressure as well.

2. The scene below from the animated series episode 26 reveals that the suit protects the wearer from high temperatures. I presume that it also protects from freezing in very low temperatures.
Yeah, I know that episode 26 is a filler and does not match to any chapter in manga. But I don't think there would be much logical difference.

Wow... Really? I joined just to reply to this asinine comment.
Um, yes we can genius. I love how people of your caliber get intellectually "stuck" on the word "theory".
When you have an idea in science it is called a "Hypothesis":

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypothesis

After rigorous testing, if the evidence is overwhelming, it becomes accepted as a "Theory" which in the science world means it's as close to fact as it gets without looking in the back of "Gods" answer book and cheating, or having the answer proved without any doubt.

Please educate yourself:

This is probably a bit more up your street:

I didn't cared for anything. It was explained but not wow for me at least I guess.
I mean the answer for ridiculous. The dinosaurs moving that was a statue in the museum was an alien
and those moving statues in Italy or greece was it ? those were alien too ?
what about the onion aliens ? they speak Japanese and eat aliens ? And those chicken aliens
riding inside lego robots. lmao

What I really want to know is Sebastian !!!! I thought he was the final boss !

Will the alien in here be just a neutral unbeatable alien and sebastian a hacker of gantz ?
Maybe being able to use gantz abilities any time ?... Final boss ?...

Gosh disappointing how americans just beat it like that. Americans can just beat sebastian too then. lol

I went back and read sebastian and he is like covering his face. Nice pose to smash airplane.

and that alien said aliens invaded, but what about those vampires ? supernatural power users ?

guess anything is possible in gantz.

-----------------------------------------------------

So these giant aliens were the most powerful aliens ? I don't think so. What I think is
there were lot's of planets in the space but for whatever reason all got smashed or had to leave
that planet and move to earth. The aliens at the beginning happen to be a few survivors. They were the stronger ones who happen to be less in numbers.

The giants in here are stronger because they have intelligence and they all moved with the mothership and also have technology. Sounds like whole planet people moved to earth.

I think nurarihyon alien was the strongest alien till now. In the osaka arc.

communicate better ? what about the dog face ? lol

So they revived ppl by copying their brain and putting them in those white gantz bodies?

How they revive people is quite simple actually. The machine that transfers them is a kind of teleportation machine. Teleporting works by analyzing the molegular-atomic structure of an object and recreating them in another place while destroying the one in the first place. So in reality is just a copy maker not really a transfer, that's how teleporting actually works and that is a big debate between science fiction fans on whether anyone would actually use such a machine because in reality the original dies.
Anyway from the moment that machine analyzed their bodies then it can basically make copies of them as much as it likes. So they didn't actually revived, it just that the machine has a copy of their molecular structure. You should have realized as much from the fact that there are two Kurono's. If it was real revival then it wouldn't be possible to have two of them.
So as you see anyone with a little science knowledge already knows that answer and doesn't need to ask said question.

Not much new information - well the big face insiders, maybe.
But it's already known that Gantz is alien technology. They fought with aliens. The invasative aliens were advanced, and strong. They all came, because they world is dying, but for what, where?

The interesting part is what will happen now? These new aliens will go away, stay, kill everyone - not likely - give the big 42 and happy end? The Gantz upper management is dead, but the technology is there across the world, with it, someone can rule the world, will the human race prosper or kill itself?

This inferior insect comparison, as contradictive - for the alien point of view - as someone already discribed; humans are arrogant - they are, but for this? I think it's a little under the Gantz limit, but the faces were shifty :)

For all can't wait til september..

I'm not as optimistic as many of you guys about GANTZ.

Honestly, I think the mangaka is just pulling shit out of his ass and trying to find a way to end this manga (remember he said he wanted to finish it by the end of THIS YEAR!).

I think we're going to get a lot of plot holes by the time this manga ends, many questions will go on unanswered, or worst of all we could have one of "those" type endings.

You know, where nothing makes sense or where everything is conveniently tied up....I hate that shit, but I feel like it's going to happen with Gantz.
