Yoshino giving Kirishima the silent treatment is kinda tough to see. Then again, so much shit has happened in their lives up to this point that they might need some space. Physically, Kirishima is doing better even with that injury on his face. Season finale still had that main chemistry between the two and I think that's what's important. I find it amusing how Yoshino's temper just fires up when Kirishima does something out of the unexpected. What a pair. They just can't stay away from each other. |

Man, ima miss Yoshino. It takes so much self-control to give someone the cold shoulder like that. She didn’t just ignore him, she acted like he didn’t even exist. And sure, masochism sounds like he’d like pain, but pain needs interaction. No interaction means no pain, and no pain means no fun for him. He’s like an addict.... a big addict because what. the. fuck. WAS THAT LICKING HER HANDS TO SPREAD THE CREME SCENE??? LMAOOOO. Besides that scene though, it was a very sweet scene, to see Yoshino be all cutey and Kirishima... be Kirishima lololoL. But yeah man, really do feel bad for Yoshino because, I mean, if it wasn't obvious by now, she ONLY attracts only psychopaths and weirdos man... FUCK LMAO. At least they ended it off on a sweet note with that last scene after the credits. FUCK Deen because this actually had the chance to be a good show... but Deen ruined it with the ugly art style and no movement. Story hold itself up decently though. |

That's it ???? There's no closure on anything and there's two cliffhangers (the old farts and the young one and his flyer), three if you count the call from Shouma... I'm maaad They better make a season 2 for this! Also come on that scene in the opening where she's wet and he runs with her in his arms wasn't in the series at all, I feel so played boouuuh At least the ending scene where she sleep was kinda cute... I guess ? |

Tf was that lotion scene, creepy af. Yoshino blocking him entirely for 3 days lol. He actually broke. More teasing on the big internal war but the way the yakuza stuff has been handled so far might be disappointing but who knows. Was a decent first season overall. Their toxic relationship was fun but not much on the yakuza front and what little we got felt immature. Hoping it improves later on. The josei/shoujo romance elements are eww, seinen my ass lol (Ik it's cause of the magazine so don't quote me on that). Knew things would be like this given female author. Maybe we'll get s2? Dunno. |

This episode makes it clear that Kirishima is on the lower end of yakuza ladder, which is good, yakuza is not something worth climbing into the top position. They're criminal and do all kind of bad and cruel things not seen in this anime. If Shouma see Kirishima licking Yoshino's hands, Shouma would kill Kirishima on the spot even if Yoshino ask him not to. And that's exactly why Yoshino has to take two. It's like keeping a dog and a cat in the same house, hard but not impossible. And sometimes, it's even funnier. |

Ahh can’t believe this is over. Season 2 please 😭 Yoshino was my girl of the season and the story just got going at the end sigh!! This didn’t even feel like a season finale. Yoshino having an alarm letting her know when to end the silent treatment on Kirishima is next level petty lmao. Good thing we got to see them have an actual proper heart to heart. Even though they’ve been living together for a while now, they haven’t really sat down and talked about things like this often. Hearing some of his backstory kinda explains why Kirishima is the way he is compared to why Yoshino was able to be pretty normal despite both being born into the yakuza. Nah that lotion scene was fucking unhinged. Something is beyond with Kirishima. Who tf thinks to start eating lotion out someone’s hand like what sort of freaked out shit is he on 😭 Soon as I start thinking he ain’t that bad he do some weird shit. Ugh. Of course we end off right as all the yakuza political postering is happening. Notice how Azuma looks at Renji with pure disgust and jealousy because Renji is clearly a favourite of the head. Knew he and blonde dude were up to no good from the jump, but what’s their play here? Take out Renji and get his territory/position of favor within the org? And Kirishima’s old pal transferring into Yoshino and Kirishima school I take it? Will have to read to find out more! Gonna miss this show and my toxic romance a lot 😭 |

The cream... That's some slasher movie shit. Raise wa Tanin is an anime that tries to do two different things at once. We've got a trashy, dysfunctional romance between the main characters, and we've also got yakuzas beating the shit out of each other. Question is, will people who came for one also enjoy the other? I myself was here for the latter, but can somewhat appreciate the psychological battles between Yoshino and Kirishima. Main complaints are the art style needing some getting used to, and the fact that it takes way too long to pick up. Side characters and villains are whatever. Kind of wish Tsubaki got more screentime. 7/10 is the highest I can go. I lack the necessary juices to enjoy this title to the fullest extent. Yoshino's beautiful, at least. |

No wonder everyone's already mentioned it above but gee, that hand cream scene really came out of nowhere and had danger signs all over it, xD. Whipped cream - yeah, sure. That's some way to ruin a good mood there. Final scene of Yoshino-san asleep and Kirishima a little paranoid after seeing Yoshino down was really adorable, here's to hoping for a 2nd season of this! And the silence treatment at the start got me lol'ing so hard, and her justification for it was spot on too. Clearly the most effective discipline move. Solid show, overall. Seems like I've an affinity for these kinds of shows and we got two good ones this year (the fable being the other one). Don't mind seeing this trend at all. Getting some banger tracks too, but this ED is probably top of the shelf! |

So does this mean we're getting a second season? If not, that's a real sucky ending Regardless, this has screamed to the top of my list of animes that need to be remade, by a studio that knows WTF they are doing. |

They better make a second season or I'll riot. Just like I thought, the anime ended with chapter 26, such a pity we didn't get chapters 29, 30 and 31 that got teased in the opening so they better make a second season and hopefully the manga hiatus will end, it's been almost a year. The cream scene was the most lewd handholding scene in anime/manga history, Kirishima definitely has a few screws loose. But the last scene with Kirishima checking Yoshino was just asleep and nothing bad happened to her was so adorable, don't skip that scene after the ending song. While the animation wasn't that great, the story and characters carried this anime hard, so it's an 8 out of 10 for me. Guys if you liked the story and want a second season please buy the manga volumes to support the author and to make the studio want to do a second season. |

And with this episode, we have to say goodbye to Yakuza Fiancé Let's talk about this episode first. Overall, this episode showed us how much more dependent Kirishima has become of Yoshino, to the point he goes crazy when she doesn't talk to him for 72 hours. This ends up showing how attached he already is to her, and that he, in his own way, truly loves her. Funny how the other Yakuza members were just done with him while he was trying everything for Yoshino to talk to him. It is then revealed that Yoshino was doing this, because of what he did to Shouma earlier in the anime. I really liked this scene, because it not only showed how Yoshino cares for Shouma and how she's disturbed by the fact that Shouma had to pay the consequences of something that he wasn't responsible for, but also that she's punishing Kirishima for not thinking about his acts and how it affects other people, and ending up no trusting Yoshino (he needed to involve Shouma, because he didn't want to involve Yoshino, which might be a sign that he doesn't really trust that she will get the job done). It also shows that Yoshino does have something for Kirishima, because she ended up doing the same she does for Shouma, that is like a brother to her, to Kirishima. In this very scene we also get some backstory about Kirishima, and once again it shows just how lonely he is, he doesn't have a single friend, and the one time he tried to have one friend, something went wrong. This is hinting for a lot of trauma to unpack, and I'm not sure if Kirishima really is over that situation. I wonder if this friend he was talking about is Azami, the guy from earlier, since they must be around the same age, Kirishima knew him before, and I don't know, it seems like the anime would want to connect them somehow. This episode was also important, because after all this pretty talk, it showed us once again that Kirishima really is still crazy and a pervert, in the way that he sexualized the cream situation. That scene also gave Yoshino another reason to always have some distance from Kirishima, because he ended up abusing her confidence. And what the hell was he fetishing about? Licking his own liquid from Yoshino's hands? Guess is better to not think much about it. But the truth is that he once again scared Yoshino. I loved how the anime directed this scene, because they really showed the horror and fear Yoshino felt during those moments, and just how disturbing the situation was. This episode also confirmed something we were guessing long ago, and that the Renji's yakuza clan is having some internal fights, and it seems that one of the higher ups is trying to do something, and is trying to get Renji out of the picture so that he can do that. This shows that Renji really sent Yoshino to Tokyo so protect her from these internal affairs. ALSO, SHOUMA BOY IS FINE, HE WASN'T HURT IN THE PROCESS. It seems like the guy from the other Yakuza has something to do with this, as well Azami, and we see that Azami got beaten by that Yakuza guy. Also, Azami and the perm guy are working together, and their target seems to be Yoshino, and they are thinking of doing the school exams or something to get close to her. The weird thing about this episode was how it ended. The episode ended with a scene of Kirishima buying gifts for Yoshino, and then coming to her home, to find her laying on the ground. It showed that he was really concerned about her well being, and after realizing that she was just sleeping, you could see that he is relieved, and ends up just laying down with her, apreciating her beauty. Then Shouma calls Yoshino, but she obviously doesn't answer, since she's sleeping. And then the episode ends. Like, what was this supposed to show? That Kirishima really loves her? I mean, we already got that earlier this episode, and it's not the 1st time he does something similar. I feel like this scene was just to tell the Yoshino X Shouma shipper that "Y'all better shut up, that is not happening, it's Yoshino X Kirishima and you gotta deal with it", because other than that I have no other explanation for them to end the anime with that scene. Maybe to give some kind of conclusion to whom Yoshino is going to be at the end, since it's unlikely we'll get another season of this? Is this scene even in the manga? So, overall, I really liked the content of the episode, it once again worked really well the characters and the relationship between Kirihima and Yoshino, while also building up the next story arc, but at the same it didn't feel like a final episode at all. The scenes before the ending were going in that direction, but barely, and the final scene I already explained why it didn't even make much sense. It's kinda weird the anime ended this way, but ok I guess, nothing too outrageous. Now, I have to say that this anime surprised me a lot. I feel like it differs from other romance anime, by the strong role the female protagonist has in this toxic relationship, taking place in a violent setting. Yoshino is for real one of the best characters, and you just end up the anime wanting her to have the best of the best. After the 1st episode, I wasn't expecting much, but the anime continued to surprise me episode after episode, and these last episodes were really good, with this Osaka arc. I mean, with this long post I think you can see that I really enjoyed the anime. It's refreshing and interesting, and that's all it needs to call your attention. I also really enjoyed the artwork (remember when I said in the 1st episode that I didn't like it? Yeah, now I really enjoy the artstyle, it's really unique, and I feel that it helps to show that it's a more mature anime). Now, the anime certainly has its negatives. I can point out 2 main ones. The 1st aspect is the animation. Well, we all knew the animation wasn't going to be that great, but I perfectly remember episode 6 for being atrocious in the animation. A lot of the fight scenes also didn't have the impact that they could have due to the poor animation. Coming from a studio that doesn't have a good reputation in that regard, it isn't unexepected, but I feel like it holding back the original material with this. The other point was with how the adaptation was done, because I really feel like the first 4 episodes of the anime felt really rushed, especially the 1st episode. They were trying to cramp as much content as possible in those episodes to get to the Osaka arc, which I understand why they did that, but it's still a shame those first few chapters didn't get adapted in their full glory, since that damaged my enjoyment of the anime. And it's kinda weird considering that they could have opted for a 13 episode anime, instead of only doing 12 episodes, but I guess that would sum a lot of costs to the anime, that they probably don't have money for. But overall, this anime is a easy score for me. I'm going to score this one a solid 8/10. I really feel like with the 2 aspects I mentioned corrected, it could have been easily a 9/10, but this is what we got, and I'm honestly fine with it. I really hope we could get a 2nd season to this, but that's pratically impossible, since I don't see the anime doing enough numbers for that, and the original source doesn't even have enough content for a 2nd season, and it has been on hiatus for a long time now. But I would really apreciate to see the rest of the chapter that have been released adapted, even if it's in the forms of OVAs or a movie. One can dream, right? Edit: Also, let's not forget the amazing pair that we got with the Opening and the Ending! Will miss them very much, but fortunately both are on my playlist on Spotify! I was expecting the opening to be good, because we are talking about The Oral Cigarettes, but Yoshino surprised me with the ending! Didn't know her, but the song is really good! And it's funny that she has the same name as the female main character of the anime. Thank you to everyone that took their time to comment on these forums and share opinions or facts about the anime! It was a pleasure to discuss this anime weekly for these past 12 weeks. I'm certainly going to miss it! Merry Christmas for y'all, and a Happy New Year! |

Ok finale for a decent and entertaining show even for a dude, the romance was never too much or too rose pink, the characters were all pretty cool and interesting and the yakuza vibe was a nice touch, seems like they teased the next arc in this last episode so i'm expecting a second season even if there's apparently some trouble between the author and the studio. Solid 6.5/10 didn't expect to like it this much tbf |

Let's talk about this episode first.
Overall, this episode showed us how much more dependent Kirishima has become of Yoshino, to the point he goes crazy when she doesn't talk to him for 72 hours. I will always have a chip on my shoulder over how most all anime’s prioritize channeling audiences over to the manga over telling a story that feels complete. I get it, the the industry puts business before art, and that’s just how it is. 🤷🏻♀️annoying though |

And with this episode, we have to say goodbye to Yakuza Fiancé
Let's talk about this episode first.

That's it? I really hope they make a second season for this. While the art style and animation weren't the strongest points, the story and characters more than made up for it. I found the pacing to be solid, and overall, I genuinely enjoyed the experience. I'd give it a 6 or 6.5/10. |

And with this episode, we have to say goodbye to Yakuza Fiancé
Let's talk about this episode first.

I mean, we already got that earlier this episode, and it's not the 1st time he does something similar. I was actually glad that they finished up with this scene. The scenes before the credits were focused on the yakuza power struggle and the most directly dangerous antagonist. So it was nice having the quite moment and reminder of kirishima's devotion and priority before the shit starts hitting the fan. It was also nice as a farewell scene, since a 2nd season isn't guaranteed. The anime seemed to rush through similar scenes since the beginning to cover as many chapters from the manga as possible, but this one actually felt more intentional and fitting to me. Overall I enjoyed the later episodes of the season, since they were more story driven than the start. I agree with others about the animation and aspects of the production, they weren't the best and at some points not even good. I feel like a lot of viewers that hadn't read the manga already, dropped it at the first few episodes and I can't blame them. I don't know whether it truly boosted the manga, I hope so. I hope the mangaka comes back to it, the story is so interesting and the characters very compelling. |

That's it ???? There's no closure on anything and there's two cliffhangers (the old farts and the young one and his flyer), three if you count the call from Shouma...
I'm maaad They better make a season 2 for this!
Also come on that scene in the opening where she's wet and he runs with her in his arms wasn't in the series at all, I feel so played boouuuh
At least the ending scene where she sleep was kinda cute... I guess ?

So does this mean we're getting a second season? If not, that's a real sucky ending
Regardless, this has screamed to the top of my list of animes that need to be remade, by a studio that knows WTF they are doing.

I didn't expect to enjoy this anime, especially with the quirky romance between Kirishima and Yoshino. That cream scene was so unexpected! Yoshino perfectly captures my reactions when Kirishima does something stupid or senseless. I hope they confirm a second season so we can see more of Yoshino trying to manage Kirishima's masochistic behavior and how he acts. I'm also curious about what will happen with Renji and the Yakuzas who seem jealous of him for being the favorite to become the next clan head. |

Another series that ended off on a weird cliffhanger. It was just my luck that three of the shows I was watching this season all ended with unsatisfying cliffhangers, like they left off in the middle of plot points they'd already started episodes ago. I will say this one was the most satisfying one of them because it seemed Yoshino and Kirishima finally reached an understanding with each other, and there is some definite affection from both as well. Unlike some of the fans, I actually enjoyed the lotion-licking scene, so delightfully unhinged and in-character of Kirishima, especially having been deprived of Yoshino for three days😜. I really felt the chemistry between them in this episode and loved the last scene of him being so tender with her. I also loved how much Yoshino made our boy sweat and languish, 100% deserved |

@sasahara_n there won't be s2 for quite a while, i mean for years unforturnately! 1. the manga chapters aren't that far ahead - the anime ended at chp 25, whereas the manga paused at chp 38 2. the author paused this series due to the anime adaptation 3. the author put this series on hiatus - due to her being mad at illegal translations. The manga got an OFFICIAL Eng translation back in Oct 2022, but some scanlation groups still translated the manga and making a profit. (Usually the scanlation groups drop the series when there is an official Eng one) |

@SoulReaper85 True but that is the price one must play. While I enjoy a good story as well as the next guy, it's animation that tickles my fancy and it has all my life. Even as a kid I was never big into comic books, although I know they don't have much in common with manga. I've done underground American comics and graphics novels decades ago. But in the long run they weren't really what floats my boat. |

People complaining on art, animation or directing seem like they don't understand what they are talking about. Well, animations could be better of course, but most fights looked solid and well directed (obviously better than any fights in tokyo revengers) and while manga readers said the pacing is fast, I personally never felt it this way, actually otherwise, few eps were a bit slow. But yeah, the art is great and probably one of the better jobs Deen done in recent years. As for ending and anime in general, sadly it seems like it didn't get any passion from its creators nor original author. Aside from some good visuals, all in all Raise wa Tanin ga Ii is a typical manga adaptation to boost sales, and boring ending is a proof to it unless they planning a second season which I doubt. I mean, they def could make this ep less awkward. 4/5 for ep and 7/10 for all (probably will lower it to 6 later). |
