| Crazy how much Sion exploded into this fight. It's like all his emotions came together and poured out. He expressed into his fight against Will too. This episode felt more personal than him than anything. It's kind of a shame since it overshadowed Julius' involvement in this tournament. VA did a solid job at adapting Sion's character. Felt like this episode hit its peak for the show. |

| No way avoiding the fight now.... Rivals in shounen, we know how it goes. They have a "fight" to settle everything, quote on quote. I say that because all of them follow the same formula, fight for like two minutes or so, talk it out/reveal their sappy backstory together, and either have a big final attack to end it off (very, very, VERY rare), or have someone interrupt as it's coming to an end. Safe to say that this time around it followed exactly that lol. Although, I kinda like the sappy backstory this time around, as much as it's overused nowadays. Sure, we get it in increments, but the directing for those parts are really good, that I can't help but love them. Animation as good as ever. I'd go as far as to say it was better than usual icl. In typical rival shounen fashion as well, they just HAD to make him a tsundere didn't they... Really made this no different from Deku and Bakugo or something. I mean it is like some Bakugou-level delusion. But it's true—teens get worked up over the smallest things. So in that aspect, I guess it's not wrong, per se. Colette with the save at the end... completing the holy trifecta of a shounen rival fight. Got some fanservice in there as well, dw lol. Will with the literal buzzer beater, here to finally settle things with Julius, once and for all. |

Young Shion Righteous!!? seems like from the very beginning he played an important part in will's development. there is indeed some sort of rivalry between these two from the day one. Shion finally yelled his heart out. and the real fight finally begins🔥🔥🤩🤩 and Colette wins the fight with a wall lol 😂🤣Shion's hilarious face 🤣. | Good looking action and some great cuts here and there mixed with some shallow, predictable backstories and forced drama with two characters that aren't particularly charismatic or interesting to follow. Pretty much got what I absolutely expected from an episode like this after the cliffhanger from before. |
| So we had to waste an entire episode dealing with this Sion drama all cause he got a crush on Will and Will didn’t pay him any attention? Lmaooo. Could’ve used that time to focus on Julius. Now that he got all that pent up romantic tension out in the open I don’t wanna see or hear from Sion for a while. I expect a Sakuga fest next week to make up for this bs. Did get some cool action scenes this week especially the animation during the start of the Sion and Will fight. S/O to Colette for holding her own against Julius too. It’s nice to see her being more than just a girl chasing after Will.. would be nice to get more action scenes of her though! That fight took a backseat because of the Sion and Will bs. She did have a lot of cute moments tho like blushing when Will put his coat on her which I loved. She’s so cute Speaking of people chasing after Will, damn bro is popular with everyone male and female 😂 his Roomate, Colette, Sion, it ain’t easy having aura I guess. Good episode technically, narratively. Hopefully next episode is better on both. Will’s entrance to the arena to fight Julius gave me chills, Asta vibes for sure |

| Huge fucking build up, backstory after backstory of the same fucking thing just with Will and Sion's perspective then turned into a cringe screaming match, only to be ruined at the very last second. I know it needed to be done but man that's really frustrating. Cool landing though. |

| I have to go back a long time since I was this frustrated with an ep, nothing new in terms of innovative character dynamics and writing but boy was I rage baited, after spending what felt like the majority of the ep bagging Will to fight Sion, honestly I did not see Colette stopping that fight coming, however frustrating it was I have to give it to them for audience misdirection, the way they built it up, the frustration, Sion's taunts and when it reached its crescendo they pulled the plug, damn, don't get me wrong I would've loved to see them duke it out but I don't hate how it played out either, and the stadium entrance was based too. |

| Wait, why exactly was this red hair guy even mad over the main guy? He couldn't become main guy's friend? He couldn't get recognition from him? Or because he couldn't get a kiss from him??? What exactly lol. He'd simply be redeemed for his actions and will turn over a new leaf going forward. Would've preferred if he was actually beaten thoroughly, as I mean he wasted everyone's time. Hope ice guy gets his due if nothing. |

| This anime has the biggest gap between quality of animation and quality of story. |
| They were slacking with the animation in some scenes but otherwise good. Sion just wanted him to look his way which has been obvious for a while now. While their score is left unsettled but things should be better between the two. Finally time to kick that annoying piece of shit Julius. |

| I like the change they did in this episode compared to the manga. They made it a low key "love" in the anime, but in the manga the room mate actually meant it for real as in gay love and they were fighting for MC affection with the girl. |
| This show really said, "shall we waste your time with a character you don't care about this week with 3 separate flashbacks?" I don't care about Malfoy... I mean Sion. |

| Damn, dude is openly in love with him and reminds people they are also roommates LOL It seems the scouters as expected, appreciate this fight, with others very disappointed. I'm guessing Julius uses same magic as Elife, meaning Will will be all the more familiar with it to counter. Sion is such a tsundere, I really don't like him, but kind of get his feelings. 4/5, Sion and Julius kind of annoying me |

| Quite a few good cuts this episode in terms of animation, but man, that first half was frustrating to sit through with Sion just being insufferable, but the last few minutes were pretty alright. At the very least, the VAs are doing an excellent job bringing those emotions out. |

| So Sion has been this pissy toward Will the whole time because of Will ignoring him? Idk that kind of seems like a major overreaction, like I can understand his frustrations but at the same time it seems a bit ridiculous lol. I wish there was a bit more thought on the author's part into making Sion's animosity toward Will come from a place that isn't so.....well, stupid tbh lol. With that out of the way though, holy shit what an episode. The action scenes in this show seriously never disappoint, I especially enjoyed the POV shots that were seen throughout the episode. Idk the first thing about animation but even I can tell that there was some crazy storyboarding going on. And to top it all off, Will ends the episode with quite the exaggerated superhero entrance 💀 now that was ridiculous but in the "I don't really care because it was really cool" kind of way. Finally, it all comes down to this, Will vs. Julius. |
