| Some Saki and Ryuuji conflict eh. L on Ryuuji's part for making Skai cry because he didn't think her love for Makoto was real. He made it up in less than a minute. What a chad lol. But now we're going down the typical anime troupe route with misunderstandings and such... sigh. Though, at the very least they're expanding on Saki's character, which I wanted. And the more we get the more I understand her problem... kinda. It all goes back to her shitty father who's the reason she’s emotionally messed up inside. As a used to be introvert, I can relate to Saki a lot, which once again just shows to me how hard she carries this show. Her character has gotten so complex in these past couple of episodes, and I love it. She was drawn to Makoto because he seemed unique, but as he became a regular part of her life, she began to question if she ever truly liked him for who he was or if she was just captivated by his initial rarity. Now, she wonders if her feelings were more about how he made her feel special rather than real affection for him. It’s nice Saki ended things so kindly and didn’t drag it out. I hope she finds the love she wants. ICYMI: There will be no broadcast next week due to coverage of the Paris Olympics. |

| Aoi you absolute sweetheart you deserve the world ❤️ everyone has their own way of finding and appreciating their special person. Your feelings for Makoto are just as real and valid as Ryuji’s. For a person who’s usually so upbeat and providing nonstop comic relief to be crying and so torn emotionally in this episode was hard to watch. And that ending! 😭 no way this was 24 minutes man what I guess now that I think about it a lot did happen in this episode. Ryuji and Aoi talking to each other about how they feel about Makoto was really mature. I hate that Aoi interpreted Ryuji being able to straight up say how he feels about Makoto as a sign of her feelings not being as strong though. Ryuji’s just known him longer is all. Speaking of Ryuji I love how flustered he got when Makoto asked if there was anyone he liked. He’s such a cutie. Poor Makoto over here thinking Ryuji and Aoi are a thing when they’re both in love with him 😂 It warms my heart seeing how supportive everyone at school is of Makoto. Like the basketball club teammate asking if Makoto felt uncomfortable having to take the wig off to play was so sweet. His dad wasn’t lying when he said he knew the perfect school to send him to Aoi and Makoto’s little break up at the end is breaking my heart though. I need the next episode asap. Adding her backstory with trying to fit in with everyone and not upset anyone also hits in the feels because Makoto and Ryuji are the first people Aoi has truly been able to be herself around. Poor thing needs a hug |

| I understand what really Saki want, she wanting have someone special and she did found it. But I think being one-sided affection for bit long make Saki doubt her feeling to him. Also Makoto start have feeling to Saki in eps 2 (for context they skip ahead from the web manga). This is what I don't like type of romance, misunderstanding love polygon, but this anime did it right, I'll looking forward for next episode. |

| This episode in a nutshell: You are my special (doo doo doo dOoo) Either the style switch grew on me, or the studio uses them more judiciously this time. Aoi has carried this show hard so far, and I admire her VA’s performance. A people pleaser in the past, she’s still conflicted on whether she actually, really loves Makoto romantically. The admittedly more organic feelings Ryuji has has made her insecure. It’s hard to clear up because her dad is away and her mom is dead (that hairstyle, dangit), and appears to be starved of social interactions—at least those that mattered. So in her alone time, she says “I love Makoto” many times like a charm, hoping that it becomes real. |

I'm bi, in fact I'd say that I prefer femboys over actual women, but I can't shake the feeling that I shouldn't be gay (largely for religious reasons). I've never really felt much of a sexual attraction towards anyone that I've come across IRL, just online people, but still. |

| From here on, it will become complicated. Aoi realises that whatever feelish she has for Makoto seems doubtful compared to her shishou aka Ryuuji, who finally admitted his feelings about Makoto to Aoi. Makoto misunderstood that Ryuuji has a thing for Aoi. Who knows if next episode, Aoi will actually fall for shishou. I wonder why at the start her mother's face was blurred only to be revealed. It must have something to do with her backstory. |
| Aoi's experience is a common one for anyone who is aspec. I haven't seen an anime handle questioning love and what it means like this since Bloom Into You (Maki in that series is aroace and the protag is demi). I resonate strongly with Aoi's internal struggle to feel like she needs to find someone special and "choosing" someone to love because of the warm fuzzies you feel when you meet someone who you genuinely enjoy being around. It is easy to confuse that with love when we're told those types of reactions are common for people who are attracted to someone. At the end of the day though, different forms of love exist - it is clear that Aoi loves her friends dearly. It just isn't in a romantic way (because she very possibly can't feel romantic attraction herself). From the comments alone it is clear not many are aware the ace/aro spectrum exists. I hope we see more representation like this in media, and that it helps those who are aspec but may not realize it understand themselves better. ^^ |

| Poor Aoi. I get how she feels questioning herself but for different reasons. I get the impression she doesn't know herself anymore because she has tried too hard for too long to like everything and everyone so when she actually really likes something or someone she doesnt know why because it all gets mixed up. And damn, Ryuji also screwed himself over. He totally had a chance to confess to Makoto but couldnt do it. Though it's understandable since Makoto hasnt shown any indicating he is into Ryuji that way or guys in general to my recall. |

| Saki has improved in her studies, though Ryuji still struggles with seeing Makoto as a potential partner. Even as a boy, Makoto is quite affluent in sports such as basketball, even if he hasn't played in quite a while. But Ryuji dropping the bombshell that Saki may be in love with Makoto, he always has thought that of himself, though Saki only sees Makoto from a kohai's perspective, and not one of love. Still, as new friends, Ryuji is willing to cover for Saki as she struggles trying to come to terms of how she sees Makoto, something which the latter only saw for the first time...and thought that they're dating, which he raises the question to Ryuji and confronting him that he feels the same way about Saki, putting Ryuji in a rather pressing situation between Makoto and Saki. He's just the messenger, and the misunderstandings don't stop. The next day, Makoto STILL thinks that Ryuji and Saki have feelings for each other, since their chemistry is quite compelling to begin with. In actual fact, they're just friends trying to help each other see who Makoto is to them, and Saki is really trying to be the one that everyone would favour her as a special friend, though people will still continue to talk behind her back, that she REALLY needs someone special, like Makoto. And that's how she got captivated all the more by him to love him as such....but is she lying to her own feelings, after the detriment of her own family? Saki needs a push to be her own being...and away from Makoto as much as possible, but not losing their friendship after falling out of love with him. Have things come to an end between Saki and Makoto? I hope not all the more... |

| Makoto thought that Ryuji loves Saki while Ryuji already accept the fact that he loves Makoto and hide it from him. And now Saki unexpectedly break down unsure of her own feelings for someone special and now trying to root for Ryuji. Love is simple and complicated at the same time and things really took a turn in their dynamic regarding romantic love. Watching Saki in this episode really makes my heart screaming. Ryuji already know Makoto since childhood but Saki just only knows him so it would take a while for the actual love develop. I'm sure both Makoto and Saki would finally figured out this complicated feeling called love. |

| It's quite complicated. Being left behind after starting to like someone feels lonely, doesn't it? I hope Makoto has the courage to take the next step. And about Ryuji, I just hoped that Ryuji and Makoto were just friends, but at least he managed to tell Makoto his feelings. |
| Moral of the story: you can't force yourself to have romantic feelings for someone. That aside, the chibi scenes felt pretty bad this week for their overuse after not being too bad the last couple of episodes: several times they completely killed the mood in the first half of the episode. |
| That moment when the characters themselves stage a ship war in the show itself. Also, Aoi seems to have a critical inferiority complex and a fear of standing out. Why? P.S. It seems another show this season has decided to play True Tears. |
