Kenka Dokugaku Episode 12 Discussion

The unfortunate nature of Hobin and Snapper meeting the Ssireum champion Hwang Mangi, the former is such an idiot for even trying to face him with the usual fighting skills. Even with the sense of adrenaline, Mangi doesn't move a bit...and Hobin is forced to run backwards whilst facing him to try and get an advantage over him. But even with Samdak's teaching skills, there's just no way trying to win over a grappler, calf kicks don't work on him, and neither is the baseball choke (that he tried on Taehun), and the spine protector almost put him out of commission against a pro. That's when Hobin utilizes everything that he learnt Taekwondo from Taehun in the shortest time possible.

The sad fate of Taehun having to see his beloved dojo (managed by his father) fall into ruins from fellow students studying after MMA took over Takewondo, and now he has a disciple to lean to through Hobin. But even with the spinning back kick...which landed on Mangi's crotch of all places. Despite that, Mangi still dominates by strength...except when Hobin ACTAULLY managed to win against the big guy...by removing his hair wig. A result of his hair loss, that bonded the trio all the same. In actuality, Hwang Mangi is not a bad guy, it's just that circumstances force him to be so from an early young age, so much so that both Hobin and Snapper sympathized with him, earning him fans from the livestream in the process.

All that's left is for Gaeul to edit the video which increases subscribers and viewership, and Hobin's life is only getting better, as his mother has recovered better, and the heap of money for her surgery is no longer a problem to solve. BUT BE AWARE OF THE DEMONETIZATION SYMBOL...and the people who want to challenge them.

This show ain't bad, but it sure felt empty compared to its manhwa counterpart. Still, you can't help but root for the goodness that this show brings.

Time to beat Mangi once and for all.

Despite taking Hobin's powerful calf kick, Mangi doesn't flinch. With no chance to escape, Hobin finds himself in a dire situation. It's all up to if he can demonstrate the results of the intense training he received from Taehoon. Meanwhile, as Moonsung and Bomi watch the live stream, Hobin continues to not back down and faces off against his formidable opponent.

Out of all his opponents thus far, this is definitely his most hardest one just due to his sheer mass. I mean it's like he said, he's a fucking tank. People with sheer mass like him, their reach and power will just be too much to handle. But ofc it'll be easy if you reveal a secert like you balding to the world... show is so fucking unserious and I love it lmaoooo. Then Hobin says he buy a gf if he gets famous... LMAOOOO. And slowly but surely, Hobin's mom is getting better. Great for him. I'm happy for him.

Animation aside, because that shit is dogshit, such a stupid show that I can't help but love it. It's manhwa counterpart is definitely better by a LOOOONG SHOT.

I'm so happy to see the general rating up to 7.23,still a little low but i've got more hope for mal than i had previously ain't gonna lie, time for me to catch up to the webtoon which is over since a couple months ago

@Memore i might be heavily coping but isn't the very last scene teasing it? Man i hope its real because its gonna adapt an insane arc that i hoped we saw a glimpse of in this season but we sadly didn't :(

@ropiel, I haven't seen the last episode yet, still I highly doubt about it. There are SO MANY EVENTS IN THE MANHWA AFTER THE ANIME.

They didn't show exactly what happend on the end of episode, I'm starting manhwa rn so... they wanted happy end '-'

Man, what a bizarre ending, first of all, Robin was incredible man, he just gave a sensational back kick to a monster so that in the end we know that he just wants to be loved, that ending was super cute, I don't think we'll have a second due to the quality that wasn't at the level of Wind Breaker, but I'm clearly going to read the manga because I know it's a really cool story

And so we end with bonding over baldness(well hair loss, but then the alliteration would be gone) and a surgery date for mom.

I expected a shoe to drop to tease a second season, and maybe that yen symbol flashing yellow was supposed to mean just that, but I dunno. Anywho I ended up really liking this. I think it benefited from low expectations as I went into this blind, and going in I really expected this to be a low level, exploitative trash kinda show. Instead it was a fairly enjoyable story of an underdog getting strong. That's usually a winner in my book. One that's hard to mess up and I don't think the youtube-esque gimmick surrounding it was a problem. If anything I want to see more, which is a nice feeling to have. Slightly generous 8/10. Not the best show I watched this season, but probably the most pleasant surprise.

This was a lot of fun. Let's get a season 2 push going of this one. This is easily the most underrated show of the season. Please give this one a chance.

I love how this episode was handled because having him beat someone big like that is legit as big as Brock Lensar would heave been stupid and unrealistic.

@MasterHavik, yes, it is a very good series despite being abruptly ended. Money symbol at the end hints of the second season.

@Memore No.Anime ends at chapter 26.It didn't cover some last pages of chapter 26.So chapter 26 is needed to read in order to start from where the anime ended.

Ah what a good finale. The show was not perfect by any means, but I also can’t help but enjoy it and looked forward to it every week. Sad to see it go, but I’m happy it ended on such a good note. Maybe we will see another season, but I’m not sure 🤔

Did you not see the last few seconds? Green yen symbol changed to yellow basically from full monetisation to limited.
