| Streamed on AbemaTV today. There's a handful of peculiar character introduced in ths such as the Demon Lord, Cefiro, Satie, among others. Got some info too regarding the demon vs human plot. It's ironic that the main character itself is also human despite being a demon. This had standard fantasy tropes that you'll find in just about any type of similar series these days. Looking forwad to see how they plan to develop Demon Lord and Cefiro's relationship in this. |

| Early ABEMA weekly streaming. Novelist Hata Ryousuke's Isekai reincarnation series, that's one for the VERY FIRST Summer seasonal show. This is still within the reins of Studio A-CAT, but like you can tell that it is mediocrely produced. The strongest Demon Lord magician that is the 7th Division's Ike, the grandson of Romberg, he's the contrary of the army being not a demon, but a human, being taught by his teacher to always have the mask on. And the first time to catch his humanly self...it's a maid? Still though, having to parade himself as a demon sure gives him trouble, as such with his direct superior of Commander Cefiro, who is the only one who knows his secret. Her handing Ike a summons to see the Demon Lord Dairokuten whilst his glutton of a maid-in-waiting, sure fires up in excitement. Cefiro escorting Ike to the Demon Lord's castle of Dobenberg to see Dairokuten, the latter thinks that the Demon Lord's all high and mighty, but he couldn't be further from the truth that Dairokuten is a young girl. The praise of Ike having to assimilate the town of Arsenam without loss of lives, but facing Dairokuten is like facing his old teacher, but even more fearsome. Back to the slave maid of Satie/Thirteen, now she's the 2nd person to know his secret, and she's a real handful. The rebuilding of Ivalis with both humans and demons at the helm, the demons think that he's a genius, but of course, how long can Ike's facade last? Kohta Yamamoto sure has some weird collaboration songs going for this show. A rather mediocre start all things considered, nothing exciting as of yet. |

| ABEMA airs Episode 1 and on a week in advance of its TV airing. Mangaka Ryousuke Hata hasn't had it easy when it comes to his works, that's for sure. Finally though, after many failed attempts he got one of his works into an anime. KOHTA YAMAMOTO OP is... an OP of all time. It rivals last season's Re:Monster's OP. Not a good thing btw. And their ED isn't any better. The Demon King's army continues its battle against humans, with Ike, the powerful magician and leader of the Immortal Brigade, spearheading their efforts. As part of the Seventh Corps, Ike is a formidable figure who single-handedly conquers fortresses and pushes back human armies, even managing to seize a supposedly impregnable trade city in just a week. Highly respected by many demons as the grandson of the great archmage Romberg, Ike's true identity as a human remains his darkest secret. Determined to keep this hidden to avoid any trouble, neither Dairokuten, the Demon Lord, nor his loyal soldiers are aware of his true nature. Maoyu ass duo lol, I mean she literally looks like a copy paste Maou it's not even funny lol, and that's pretty much all I can say. This was one of the most generic starts I've seen in recent memory. Most generic setup as well. Though I have hopes that if they lean more into the kingdom building aspect they leaned into for a moment near the end, this could be a decent series. Nothing more, nothing less. Other than being a maid, Thirteen is going to be the main girl of this show. That's if this doesn't turn into a harem, which let's be honset, we know it very will turn into one at some point. OK start, I can see it maybe getting better, maybe getting worse. We'll just have to wait and see. |

| I'm a bit appalled as to why they changed their character design all of a sudden. It doesn't seem right in my book. Ike is much more mature looking in this anime. CG is... decent to say the least. However, you can still see the inconsistencies in it. Anyway, I'm looking forward to how they'll do in this series. P.S. Another ABEMA series that will be monopolized?! We know what the fans will do by doing this to them, and companies still do it nonetheless. (and I don't remember this being an isekai) |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
| I hope I don't get too many people complaining about wasting their time later. The title and synopsis kind of should steer you away, then the opening alone make clear this anime is impossible to surpass 6/10 (possibly will get 5/10 from me, but will give time). This is giving me "the demon king is a part-timer" vibes. I think I'll end up finishing through it as enjoy it enough so far and kind of enjoy the reminder of ruling efficiently. 3/5 for this episode, no further comments. |

| First I thought it's the adaptation of "Brought by the Demon lord after the end" pornhwa lmfaoo. Anyways the first ep was average. I think the Demon lord had already figured out of Ike being a human but concealed it for whatever motive This is givin' the vibe of a absolute typical fantasy |
| Uninspired plot and censored female character designs. Sasuga Studio A-CAT. Already spotted some cheap CG. The only saving grace is the MC being voiced by FukuJun, but that's not enough to make an interesting anime. I'll give it maybe two more episodes. |

| This reminded me of I'm quitting heroing with a human working for the demon army, pink hair demon lord and an onee san voiced by Itou Shizuka. Decent first episode with pretty usual fantasy stuff but I found the characters likeable and I'm here for Cefiro in the first place. Maid is cute too btw, adorable even. Gonna be fun to watch her. |

| That was an incredibly boring and dull premiere to 'start' this Summer season. Was a real slog throughout. |
| It seems like a seasonal filler anime but fun, I gave a 4/5 to the 1st ep. and potential 7/10 to the series but nothing more. |
| Came with low expectations and I enjoyed it. Animation is very mid (tbh I have no idea what bad CGI everyone is talking about) but characters seem interesting. 7/10 for me so far. It could easily become the best work of A-CAT (low bar but still). |

| Watched this just after the last episode of Date a Live V. Guess what, Isaac Westcott got isekai'd into the very next anime I started watching. 😅 |
| Looked pretty good until the girl found out about him. Depending on how that'll pan out it might lean more towards slice of life instead of action. |

Generic as all hell only made all the funnier when the morally upstanding human MC immediately enslaves a girl for his own convenience. Gotta keep that secret...that I'm sure will really matter once it's revealed.

I was looking forward to this getting an anime. I recently read the manga, and it's a fantastic fantasy story. I hope they do not ruin it with the CGI. The main characters are great, and I hope the studio improves the quality in the upcoming episodes.

| I like the art/animation the magic is nice and flashy as well. Plot seems stupid from the get go though. He's been among demons from birth. he shouldn't be 'human' in behavior at all, yet this is the big plot pedestal they are building. Then we have the whole "never remove robe and mask... proceeds to remove mask half the damn episode. For a first episode this is quite telling of how mediocre the story will be. |
| The OP is a banger for sure. Also...    Hilarious the direction they went with its actual animation. That got me to laugh. Was not expecting the HxD level of opening sequence. It paired well with that chorus of the song tho. So it wasn't entirely out of place. As will always be the truth the light...  Ike-sama. 🙏 (I'm a fan of the source. So its hard to dislike this. Even if its art is different. Its a consistent difference. There's little chance this series was going to match the source's extreme level of detailed panels. We can't always get Frieren. So this is fine in my book.) |
