| Mito is a guy but this definitely had crossdressing elements since they made him look like a girl in the show. Meanwhile, after getting fired, he meets a vampire named Ruka and ends up getting blood sucked. I'm pretty sure that's going to be a recurring theme throughout the show since vampires are part of this show. Animation quality looks alright but nothing really too special. First episode delivered like the promos. They'll probably introduce the other cast members properly for rest of the season. |

| Female mangaka Ema Tooyama is quite the accomplished author, though the decision to adapt one of her most recent works, which isn't popular...IDK what's the motive here. While the vampires jest over their next Lord, Mito Yamamoto is a pretty boy that just got fired for her alluring tomboy looks. As someone who lost her parents in a fire, she's needlessly thrown around from place to place, without money and without a place to stay. From the feeling of being sick, she encounters a restaurant with pretty boys, though one of them is a rather precocious vampire who licks her blood...and finds it disgusting coming from a man. That is Ruka Saotome, a vampire who hasn't had human blood for 10 years, being led under Komori, his leader, of which both are under disguise to infiltrate the human world. Without luck, Mito attempts suicide, but gets saved by Ruka into being a vampire's thrall and into his school's boys' dormitory for recovery. And for once, she's treated like a diamond...in the rough, that is, and she's willing to become one who's loved by him. The thing is, Mito's a girl though, that's why Ruka can't stand human blood from women. A reverse harem this feels like one. Will Mito learn to be loved? |

| Watching this I couldn't help but think Vampire Knight and Ourans Host Highschool Club. The tropes were so cringe and bad that that alone was entertaining in its own way. I actually enjoy do these super trope filled shoujos after they start to pick up though so let's hope that happens. |

| I like the retro feel ep 1 has. It feels like something I'd have read back in the day. Definitely intrigued by the main character's reveal too. Hopefully the rest will live up to the promises of ep 1 |

| I like this manga, so I’m excited for the show. First episode was good. I’m a sucker for the girl-pretending-to-be-a-boy trope. Makes things a bit spicy. Art is high quality, so I’m happy so far. |

| I don't even know where to start... It all happens very quickly and the story isn't that interesting. It seems like they invented the beginning just to provide a starting point for their relationship. The characters are cute, but the way they know each other is very strange. The vampire who hasn't drunk blood in over 10 years out of the blue decides to drink from a human randomly out of the blue. I liked the part where he is a she after all. There is a flashback of the vampire that suggests that he had already been found with the protagonist. Let's wait and see how the story unfolds. |

| So I have multiple problems, like why he left her in wet clothing, how is she still walking when was passing out a while ago and still has not eaten/drank since then, also had her blood taken which should make her more prone to passing out. Et cetera. However even with that, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. She's really dedicated to this crossdressing thing, banding, short hair wig, clothing, et cetera. I like it. So it's currently like a boy love anime except it's a girl, but she's a trap! Wonder why he can't have women, clearly he can since drank her. Looking forward to seeing more of this. 4/5 because my problems were throwing me off, but her unable to get job, passing out from hunger, tomboy-ish, thinking about suicide but moving forward (unfortunately/fortunately (for anime) went to far into attempt), and wanting love is super relatable. |

| Im not familiar with the manga and just kinda went into this blind so...i was already like "oh she's cute...then oh no wait a boy ...well I dont care if Mito is a boy, he's cute as any girl"....then aw damnit why you do me like that lol I assume there will come an explanation....but I really dont get if Mito is alone why a wig instead of a hair cut is a weird choice. |

| Thought they were going to go the Ouran route there for a second with the vase...I guess they still could but at least it's not copy+paste. Hopefully the story will be interesting I like the idea behind it but we'll have to wait and see. Designs are pretty I definitely thought I might possibly be watching BL there. |

| i liked it even though the tropes are a bit cringey ᡣ • . • 𐭩 ♡ but i'm just happy we finally got a new vampire anime that isn't too toxic (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶) can't wait to be introduced to the rest of the characters and find out more about ruka's backstory and why he doesn't drink blood from women (although he just did . . . ⊹ ࣪ ˖ i like the art style and the animation so i'm looking forward to watching the rest. | That it was a wig is somehow even funnier than the diamond jump trick. No, of course she didn't cut it short to hide. She can't possibly be a secret girl without flowing princess locks. It was definitely sensible to get an expensive wig instead of food. This show isn't for me, but at least I got a laugh. |
| I can't help but think it's kind of stupid, the reasons they gave for firing MC from that ramen shop were so bs I literally wanted to stop watching at that point. If it's giving such stupid excuses 5 minutes in, what will be further in the show. So far non of the characters caught my eye and Ruka is annoying. Also all this talk "I'm gonna love you" "I'm gonna show you love" ugghh. Not a fan of this. Oh my god, MC's hair was a wig... They couldn't really have short haired heroine? I think I'm done with this one x.x |
| Well it’s our obligatory supernatural female wish fulfilment shoujo of the season. Last season we had Momochi house, this season we’ve got vampire dormitory. Being fired because you have too much aura and are attracting all the bitches is actually crazy, then getting your blood licked by a stranger and told that it tastes horrible.. can’t blame Mito for wanting to unalive 😭. Just everything going wrong for her in such a short period of time, and things she can’t control. Ruka saving her, bringing her to the vampire dormitory and promising to “love her everyday”is as convenient as can be. It’ll be interesting to see how their relationship develops and how she can keep her being a girl from him. Of course he’s dealing with his own drama trying to become the next leader too.. Show has potential, but I feel like everything is just a bit too convenient right now. Art is decent and Mito is cute. |

| Cute enough first episode, though the wig was a big cop out imo - just commit to an androgynous main character at that point. I haven’t had much luck in enjoying shoujou vampire romances, so if this anime ends up being a 6/10 for me that’s good enough. |

Someone needs to drop them the memo that in 2024 the the "lolnope he's a she!" card is neither shock value surprise, nor entertaining. Leave him a he, that'd be more in line with the times. Smh. |

| It wasn't great, but I was going to stick with it as a seasonal watch...until that ending. I got jebaited. Gay vampires, sure. A new age Diabolik Lovers, no thanks. |
