Murders in a village...this show is the ift that keeps on giving.

The overall idea isn't very original though, considering werewolves are the suspected culprits. This episode still had its darker tones although it feels like a buildup for rest of the case/arc.

I'm glad they're back to small-scale investigation. While last arc featuring all-star creatures are epic, it becomes too intense and I need to breath.

Another week, another awesome undead girl episode and an interesting new case. The Lupin case was cool, but I miss the smaller scale investigations like this so this’ll be fun.

The race to beat Moriarty and Banquet to the werewolf forest is underway, but first a stop in a small village experiencing werewolf disappearances. Everything about the village is just sus to me, and the crimes seem a little too perfect.

Seems like an inside job just like the vampire mansion case. My money is on the doctor. He was at the flashback werewolf hunt, he was ready to shoot Tsuguru, Aya and Shizuku when they were walking, he’s an “outsider” apparently, etc. Could be a misdirection, we’ll see. Aya seems confident at least.
I just think it’s a little too convenient that this is all happening right now. Would be a perfect excuse to attack the werewolves if they were “killing” people like this.

Also, if this is happening after the Jutte situation, you can’t really blame the werewolves for getting it back in blood. Burning an innocent child alive just because she was with a werewolf? Cmon now.

Very small detail that most people won’t care about, but I love how they handled the acoustics when Shizuku and Tsuguru were talking through the chimney. Very minor detail that just shows the effort that’s gone into this adaptation really.

Poor Tsuguru, gonna have to wash that pillow before using it 😂 Shizuku really be on his ass.

Oh wow, that ending was interesting, who are these van helsing looking people lol. More royce agents? Think our little village is gonna get even more crowded next week.

“We’re used to monsters we won’t scream” lol

Right, the tension is just being built. I like in those shady moment in this series, and the fact that those moments are not cringy, just dark.

Out of the 3 investigations, this is the one the sound more fun/interesting.

Seeing how the episode began wouldn't be a surprise if is about revenge.

That's the most american monster hunter, if I ever saw one.

Well, if Aya's betting to get done with this case within two days, then we'd see that without any second thoughts. And then might be Moriarty's gang too, as I don't think they're sitting idly with their legs folded after whatever Tsugaru pulled off last episode.

No clue as to why werewolves been doing the kidnappings over all these years, but the culprit is an insider.. atleast that's what we were hinted of in this episode.

I was guessing someone was turning the girls into werewolves but that's likely not the case. Someone from the village is probably doing the killings and making it look like werwolves did it or maybe that doctor guy himself is a werewolf. Let's see who's actually behind the murders.

Awesome. We're managing to keep interesting "side" mystery stories mixed in as we progress the main plot. Once again I quite enjoyed what they set up here. Looking forward to how it resolves.

A village murder mystery, with werewolves possibly on the loose...

While Tsugaru, Aya, and Shizuku look to race Moriarty and Banquet to the Forest of Fangs where the werewolves reside, a quick stop in a village is in order, as another case kicks off. This time around, werewolves are suspected to the be the culprit behind the disappearances of several villagers, but experience through this journey tells us that it's probably not that simple. An inside job seems likely, but who could have been behind this? This episode did a solid job setting the scene for this smaller scale arc, which should lead up to one last conflict at the end of the series. As usual, the episode flew by, and I'm looking forward to seeing more answers.

Tsugaru didnt have soot on his hands when Aya asked to see them after he had his hands on the ground of the fireplace. The pillow drop made a mess that was not present beforehand. That means it couldnt have been an entry through the fireplace. The shattered glass indicates exiting through the window not entering so no one entered the room from any usual manner, they had to have been in the room or had access to the room normally. My current suspicion is these girls must have been werewolves or thought to be werewolves and were killed by a member of this family.

Gustav and his wife are definitely hiding something.

Here are some things I noticed:

Louise and the girl from the beginning, Jutte, looked a lot alike

When Aya was talking about only needing eyes and ears for detective work Gustav was having some weird images of a blonde woman's eyes and of dog ears popping out of a girls head.

My theory;

Louise is the werewolf, her mother was Gustav's first wife who discovered she was a werewolf and turned to village against her. His daughter survived somehow and has been living with him for eight years pretending to be handicapped. she created the fake scene in her room to take suspicions off of her, Aya said that the paw prints as a wolf were small indicating that the werewolf was young.

Good episode and the only thing I know is that it is most likely an inside job but I'm not sure who the culprit is although Aya seems to have a prime suspect.

Shizuku using Tsugaru's pillow as a ball to toss down the chimney, damn that's mean, it's almost like they're siblings lol. At least that test indicated that the culprit did not use the chimney to climb down. Anyways, looking forward to further development of this case and if the 2 characters showed at the end will become part of it.

Another intriguing mystery build up episode. It flew by yet again just like all previous episodes. This series keeps getting better and better. I really hope they're already planning a second season. This anime is like a breath of fresh air after all these braindead shonen and isekai being spammed by the industry every season.

I’m really relieved we’ve gone back to a case because it was getting overwhelming.
Am I wrong for thinking the werewolves are kidnapping the villagers’ next gen of kids as revenge for being killed 8 years ago? What a horrible act at the start of the episode. I really don’t like these super close-minded villagers. Especially the idiot who pointed a gun at Aya.
Aya seems to be out of the honeymoon phase with Tsugaru. His poor pillow; that was just spiteful of Shizuku.

The small case of a mother werewolf shlelding a girl from manslaughter, it's a new start since the Lupin incidient.

Tsugaru and Co. are heading to Heulendorf, and this Doctor Heinemann requests of their immediate help to find his daughter Louise who's has been kidnapped by a werewolf. The thing is, within the space of a year, young girls were taken and tormented by the same werewolf, though the act was only done once every 4 months, with the latest being Louise. They were able to capture it, but the suspicions that the werewolf resided within the community, is heinous at best. Sure, Aya revealed herself to the people, but it's their obligation to let them do their investigation, or let the werewolf continue to torment them for months and years.

The investigation begins just like any other case with Rin leading to find out the cause, and other than using Tsugaru's pillow for an experiment (that's the same cruelty dealt like a playing fiddle), them asking the mayor for any leads, and it produces a place that's not quite the Forest of Fangs that they know, though Aya poses a challenge that she can solve the case within 2 days.

A complex case has its victims and culprit(s), and I'm interested to see where would this case go.

Looks like this new village they arrived at isn't the werewolf one, but one near to it, with the threat of the werewolf's looming over them...but idk if it will be as straight forward as that.
Aya already seems to be piecing things together, must be pretty confident if she gave herself that two day time limit.
