THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Finally, we begin Volume 4 of the LN, arguably the best volume in the entire series, and for reasons shown in this episode.

Kyoya changed eveyone's future...BUT AT WHAT COST???

Kyoya is back more thaan 10 years into the future after destroying Tsurayuki's writing future...A VERY DIFFERENT future where he got married to Shinoaki and had their daughter Maki. Pretty fascinating to see Maki reflect Shinoaki though like mother like daughter, though Shinoaki herself as a mother...I can say that it adds more to her allurement?

Kyoya still retains the same job working alongside Kawasegawa and her subordinate Miki Morishita for new up-and-coming talents like illustrator Minori Ayaka a.k.a Saikawa Minori, whom her calibre is much like Shinoaki's (before the future twist) but with motivation to cure her "Writer's block".

Sadly, while Kyoya is enjoying his happy ending of a future, the full-on shock and realization that the Shinoaki of 10 years future IS NOT the same Shinoaki of 10 years past as she completely stopped her illustrating work, and you can easily guess who's the culprit who enforced his remake of a better future onto. The hopefuls of the future Platinum Generation, destroyed so much so that they deviated from their original paths: Nanako (bearing her N@NA signature moniker) and Tsurayuki having already lost their passion to sing and write respectively.

Kyoya's action leads everyone to wither, and it's not looking good at all. Regrets are too late to begrudge now.

Man, if this episode isn't the best of the best so far, then I don't know what is.

I, myself can't imagine waking up one day and suddenly a little girl calling me father and I don't know what the fuck is going on. LOL. But, here we are. Kyouya is married to Shino Aki and their daughter looks just like her mother.

Looks like it's not just his life but a lot of other people who were associated with him in the past, all of their lives have been changed. Shino Aki has quit drawing, Nanako has quit singing and Tsurayuki isn't writing anymore. He was able to rewrite his life but ended up messing up everyone else. I can see why he feels frustrated because of that.

Well damn the future's a mess right now. Shino Aki stopped drawing long ago and even Nanako stopped singing, heck Tsurayuki never even wrote anything after that it seems. Only Kawasegawa and Kyouya are doing well. This sure was quite frustrating. Thou getting to watch Shino Aki having a nice married life with Kyouya sure was a blessing and her fanservice was great. Their daughter is really adorable too.

This would be considered a 'bad end' for Kyouya. Even Kawasegawa who is still in the industry also be at a lower position than before. His married life is good with Shino Aki and his daughter, Maki. However, this is not the future that Kyouya desires.

is it considered to be lazy if the kid and the mother looks exactly the same?

Did I say something like that? I meant just as cute as her mother.

Will the main-kun now like be jumping from one time possibility to another ? Seeing how all of them are "bad" only to eventually go back to his time and deciding to work hard to create THE ultimate time possibility where everyone has a dream job and he also is married to Shino.

I think Aki is asexual, she has taken out a part of herself and called it her daughter, because they are literally identical 😂

An episode to see the consequences of what his actions have caused. Not gonna lie, it felt good that the "perfect character" finally got a slap

And I hope from now on it's the main character trying to go back to the past to fix what he's done or something, but at the moment, I really don't know what gonna happen

Yep, this is the route where Kyouya unconsciously influenced the destinies of his friends, while he himself approached the ideal life he dreamed about in the 1st EP.

All three members of the Platinum Generation faced with emptiness and reluctance to create, choosing other activities instead. And even if Shinoaki tells Kyouya that everything is alright, he would never accept the consequences that fell out of a huge Pandora's Box he opened in the past.

There must be another quantum leap ahead to clear up this mess of a life.

so he wakes up on a timeline where he is a successful person but his friends were not.
that was actually pretty sad seeing his colleagues giving up on their talents especially shino aki
he should just live a pretty normal life with his beautiful wife and daughter happily but nope. he seems not very happy with the outcome.
i'm expecting that he would meet Keiko again from that timeline

also, this is more interesting compare to that time skipping gang anime who wants to be a gang leader by crying

Seeing in the future might be nice but going to the future while having no memory of what happened in between the past and the future must be incredibly frustrating.
Especially seeing the talent the characters had being wasted, and not knowing anything of their lives now must be hard.

If the main had the memories of what happened he might have accepted what happened but now he doesn't know anything.

This is one of the best episodes.

But why can he not get fake memories about the time he missed with his wife and Daughter and when they married?

And yes I want may have a season 2 to get other routes with the other 2 girls.

The Ultimate end should be that he ends up with the girl as are in the game industry and they should be in high positions.

I think the end is the ultimate end.

I really liked they are going back to the future in this episode. It adds so much and shows they dark side of what was the all happy past changing.

I really wonder what will happen next and, if Kyoya goes back to the past, maybe he will change his actions.

Either he will learn to accept this new future, or maybe even change it back to the old one he came from!?

Either way, very exited to see what will happens.

(also if you can't tell, I haven't read the source material, so everything that happens is new for me.)

Maybe he'll return to his original life and start making changes as any other human would do without cheating with time travel? Otherwise, I don't see the point of his remake anymore, it's not like he learned much from his time at the art school, he didn't even finish the first year, and then he's in the future again without any recollection of the new acquired skills. So what, he was that great all along? What stopped him from making his life good initially, just a streak of unfortunate job positions and he gave up? Maybe he should understand that choosing the wrong path in the past isn't always the problem and he would still have problems in any life, just of a different kind.

It's not because it seems too obvious but it's obvious to me... The end of his adventure will be very simple.
He will wake up again in his 1st life, where he has a company that goes down and that he was working with the red hair girl when she was the 1st in command, and he will see his life in a whole new way. He will try again, this time with the red hair girl at his side, and he will meet his "old" friends, but this time he knows everything about them and work with them instead of robbing what they need to became (because they are what they are now).

After that things could always happen:
- He could marry the Blue hair girl again (or any other)
- He could form a new company, this time with all the great names at his side,
- or he could climb the present company up until becoming a higher rank.

There are multiple options, but first, the only way for this to be real is by coming back to his original time.

"We have to go BACK!!!" (Lost 2004, S3, by Jack)
For the ones that like to bother others (like me) with "you should read the manga/LN", please stop. I don't read mangas, I will NOT read mangas, I will not listen to what manga readers complain in adaptation to the anime counterpart, I only watch anime except in very few and specific situations.

Remake OUR life, indeed. Kyouya didn't just remake his life, but those of everyone around him. Shinoaki, Nanako, and Tsurayuki are all no longer creating, and Kawasegawa isn't in a high position like she was in the first episode. I like that this episode focused on the aftermath and consequences of Kyouya's actions.

Kyoya now see the result of the actions he has done when he altered the past... And its a sad one for him as right now, he succeeded in what he is aiming for at what cost? The dreams of his friends?

If you look closely, all his friends are saying "... I STOPPED... etc..."...

Very interesting episode...

Been waiting for this from last week, so it seems like Kyoya managed to land a job in a game company with Kawasegawa being a part of there too, and as expected everyone's future took a complete turn as they weren't able to become what they should have.

Now it will be interesting to see wheather we will have another time leap or not.

Kyouya adapted to the new life so fast even without any memory of the past 11 years.. Putting that aspect aside, the 2nd part is actually pretty good with Kyouya finally realizing how his actions affect everyone else. Seeing how there are still 3 more episodes and the LN is still ongoing, seems like he will be getting another chance to go back to the past and "fix" everything. Though it would be interesting to see if that's not the case.

Ugh, this shit sucks man. This MC has a shit life because of a mistake he made and gets the chance to go back and have a GREAT life! Hooray! He's a great guy and tries to do everything to help everyone and it's not like he asked or did anything shady to get sent back in time. And he even went out of his way to make the squad as good as possible. I love the concept, and was so hopeful for him, but guess what! If he goes back everyone of the people he admired and became friends with, their lives are all(most) ruined as a result. Really pissing me off from what I thought/hoped the series was going to be. I know there's gotta be conflict but because this show is getting dunked on there will probably never be another season, and with the way things are going there's no way I'd ever read it. Also, Missed opportunity to have his wife tackle him in the morning for some off screen sex and a funny interaction after. This was the one of the few times in Anime where the characters are married, and have already had sex and a kid in that timeline so it actually could have happened before he went back lol

After the shocker that was last week, we finally got a few answers on how the current situation is for Kyouya's new life and it's a lot more grim than you would think. The company he and Eiko are working for seems to be doing decently well. Can't say that for everyone else. Everyone's career that they had in the timeline Kyouya came from, has been destroyed. Even Eiko ended up at a position lower than she should be.

The second half with Kyoya realizing what has happened and that he was the cause of it all, was to be expected. That's a massive mental hit he got there, cause his actions to better himself for the future, only robbed the others of their future.

Now the question remains, where to go from here... I wonder if the option to go back in time again can actually happen or if he has to fix it in the present timeline, since there's only 3 episodes left.

That was a one time thing like and aki knew that the they dont have time. But then apparently they still produce games after tsurayuki left, so from aki said that she lost her passion in drawing because she didnt got to produce the art she wants. Now, this is very confusing, who is to blame? Is it aki for not standing for her own and since she clearly knows that she dont like it but still do it or kyouya( bare in mind he wasnt presence during the point where tsurayuki left) ?

As I predicted, Shinoaki stopped drawing eelier in this timeline where she is married to Kyouya. Tsurayuki really did quit writing after dropping out of the art school in their last encounter. Damn...Nanako stopped singing as well...

He stole the dreams of those he idolized. Did enrolling at the art school inevitably lead to this or was it forcing his friends to not use their ideas on Haru Sora in order to meet the deadline?

Kyouya also feels guilty for Kawasegawa having a lower position in this timeline but at least her job is stable in this one.

If he manages to change the timeline again, that would bare the risk of his and Shinoaki's daughter never being born.

True the only issue is that the travel is not explain and seems to be convenient. Also, shouldn't he get his 2nd life memories after a while? Only makes sense that both memories should merge. Some plot holes but overall good story.
