THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
That dream-like segment with the pink haired girl
definitely is a highlight of this episode.

Not going to lie, this episode was boring with just more info dump and Rio adapting with what he's been through with his companions. At least these girls are more respectable to him than those students at school.

Well, this is The Spirits People/Village arc alright. Rio getting ambushed is just a matter of time, but these demi-humans sure don't have any logic of patience to do so because of Latifa's origins. Instinct is their primary source.

I would really like to know who's this Mii-chan in Rio's dreams (connecting when he was Haruto). But putting that aside, Rio's misunderstanding is resolved, and this case is an eye opener to the outside world and the spirit village that Rio stepped foot upon. The apology compensation being Latifa's full protection, it's pretty much needed since Latifa has a huge emotional attachment to Rio.

Another girl comes floating around: the World Tree spirit Dryas, and she's more or less surprised by Rio's level of spirit mana. Unsurprisingly, Dryas having found a humanoid spirit within Rio that happens to be a high-class divine spirit, and that poses implications in position in regards to treatment in the spirit village. Never liked the idea of hierarchy, but in the case of this spirit village, it's for law and order.

I would not be surprised if the village spirit demi-human girls (Uzuma, Sara, Orphia and Alma) get attached to Rio also, and Ursula prefers Rio to play the polygamy caretaker spot, but it's to recess the rumors of Rio and Laitfa thinking that both of them are a threat to the village. So that's at least a reason warranted not out of coincidence. Looking forward to the Great Spirit Festival.

On the other hand, the nobles are just as crummy even with a timeskip, and the Arbor family of Reiss acting it's heinous plan while Charles just act as planned. It won't be long before it sets in deep for a set-up battle that's coming soon.

Trouble looms with the Arbor de Reiss family acting out their own heinous plan, while Charles acts as planned. It won't be long before he delves into the depths of a preparatory battle that will come soon, what do you mean? Didn't you tell me that celia's bow is coming, miharu, rio / haruto's sister, etc ...?

Nothing much happens in this episode, except the threat in the ending.
The episode itself was quite relaxing. The living conditions inside the forest and those girls are way better than in the Kingdom.

Fairly chill episode, the 'fight' at the beginning wasn't as bad as they made it seem lol, hope the harem doesn't get any bigger goddamn. The dragon stampede is looking interesting. On the whole, a fairly mediocre episode, I think it's still in the setup phase as nothing's really happening, but we'll see lol

Honestly, think I've gotten to the point where I'm tired of harem protags like rio lmao, he's a bit of a pushover, and just takes things at face value, dumb most of the time but blooming op in other times when he has a chance to make the harem bigger lmao.

I wonder how he defends himself blind, either he's god or the one attacking doesn't even know how to hit a handicapped person

>What... does that mean for me?
That Rio, you're special and you're broken, cheer up a little cmon c:
Girl he meet, girl who falls in love with him, that's my Rio, he never fails heheh

Chill second part of the episode, I wonder what was that final scene, he's not thinking of leaving him alone with the egg, right...? 0.0

He used Zona Revelare. A magic that allowed him to pour his essence

Ahh, thanks for clarifying that c:
It's just that at this point I don't even know what powers he has or how he learned them. I guess I'll just pretend he knows how to do everything and that's it

Latifa is my loli waifu, so cute. Good episode as usual, I hate the whole attack first and ask questions later trope that’s we got in the beginning tho. All it would’ve taken is a few questions to see that Latifa wasn’t kidnapped.

The Demi human forest looks like a beautiful place to live, much better than things at the academy for Rio. I’m guessing the person shaped spirit is the girl that Rio was talking to in his dream at the beginning. Explains how he’s so OP.

Feel bad for the kid who got tricked into holding that egg, obvious set up.

The Forest of Spirits.. He'll probably be a lot stronger after this arc.
Well, they took him down in the first 4 minutes. Seems like he has to train a lot in order to defeat a strong group of enemies.

Seems like Rio has a high level spirit in him. Hopefully, he'll be able to master it.

A bunch of cute girls apepared out of nowhere.

Lady Dryas perfectly looks the same as the one in Slime xD

a fairly basic episode although i wonder who "mii-chan" is also i cant wait for next episode because of that ending, it'll probably go like this... mc protects city and learns how to use magic then becomes friends with the dragon and the dragon turns into a girl adding it to his harem.

Tune in to see the protag get his ass beat by some furries. Seems like the theme of this series is him getting wrongfully beat then captured and then hugged/checked on by some ‘innocent’ and then not getting any recompense or revenge.

I have a feeling that the word building of this series actually is promising, like there is bunch of content still yet to be explained.. Especially what's the deal with the spirit living inside of Rio and how is it all connected to the old Japan world.

so just a week or 2 ago i read the manga as far as the eng version was available. So i know that this anime skipped a lots of information. i wont say that those information were absolutely necessary but i would have liked the episode more if those information added.
I feel like the anime is rushing through the raw materials which i dont think and feel is a good thing for the anime.
Also the fight at the start of the episode was very boring.
Overall this episode was boring.
Anyway looking forward to the next episode. I hope the creators will do justice with the emotional scene which is going to come up soon.

Maybe you should reather read the LN to see how much they've actually skipped instead of relying on an adaptation of the original work to compare with yet an another adaptation

Rio can't catch a break can he. This is the second time in a span of 5 episodes that he got restrained for kidnapping. They are so damn quick to judge without hearing what he has to say. Atleast it got cleared again pretty quickly.

More lolis to join the party. Still no Celia though.

That's a huge threat with all those dragons chasing the egg that has been stolen.

I hate this show so much it actually makes me feel ill whilst i watch it.
Im convinced this has to have been written by a 12 year old. Theres almost no tension and the mc is given everything, including woman, for simply existing.
Just go and watch any of the love live series, theres more tension, drama, character development and the girls have to shed infinitely more blood, sweat and tears just to receive the recognision to pursue their dream

Well, this episode had the artwork of the Night Elf starting area in World of Warcraft. The episode was a nice breather (and I loved when Stark700 called it an "info dump") before a rise in the drama. I guess we needed to establish allies so that we can have a fight coming up from MC's old enemies back at the school/town.

Chill episode, this was fine. The location of the spirit village looked amazing. And it's interesting that Rio is finding more out about himself. And oh boy, new girls to add to the harem. I hope it's not made the focal point of the show, because I'm genuinely getting a bit tired of EVERY fantasy show deciding to shoehorn in harem stuff nowadays, it's so dull and one-dimensional, especially when EVERY 12 ep show does it.

Otherwise this was fine, hopefully more action next episode.

the beast people area felt like a low-key Avatar ripoff, complete with tribal flute score.

That aside, there is so much complexity to this new culture that I could see hiding under the surface that was completely butchered by the execution. For one, the beast people hate humans - we saw almost no hatred once they overcame that misunderstanding.
The differences in customs and social behaviours were explained and not shown,
and there was just waaay too much exposition.

This was bad, but the change in scenery did make it feel significantly less stale than the previous episodes, so I'd say overall to me it was on the same below-average level of the rest of the show

I see Rio always got a lot of misunderstanding so often on this show. This time, its the bunch of those demi-human girls. Attacking together, blinding him, strike from behind. No shit, a living being tend to misjudged everything even on the minor things like that, so i'm not so surprise about the outcome there. Glad that the eldest of those village under the world of tree spirit protection acted more decent and kind enough than the previous shitty kingdom. If not then, holy shit, you are so damn an unlucky one protag boy, Rio.

Well, another dream sequence with the girl whose most likely the human-shaped spirit, Dryas revealed those time. She still talked a blurry state. Though, idk how long until she could be awaken completely, considering her time only matters at the dreams only. But, lets see whats Dryas comes up at her mind with all of those fact.

However, for this episode, as an info dump only about the greatest spirit, Dryas status as the second-high, and such. That part with Dryas talk definitely helpful enough for the later conflict arc against those shady spirit arts man in robe. Rio's tireful journey to those village proved to be worthy enough for him; to get more experience, more knowledge, and more girls to his harem.

And yes, the last is not a kidding....

They skipped quite a bit of the spirit folk village SOL, and it seems in the anime Uzuma's punishment didn't happen, since she's seen sparring with Rio without that long-ass confinement period.

Mediocre episode, but glad we got to see

I do appreciate Rio being worried about Latifa but i honestly doubt that she would want to live alone without anyone from Japan. It's just as it was with him but this time it's a little kid.

So that girl from the other world is a spirit?

OK episode, but I'm already missing Celia.

Not much to note with this episode. The fast pacing actually feels good and is probably the only reason I'm still watching this. Isekai shows need to stop having roundtable scenes as those are painfully boring to watch.

Other than that, still don't care for Diet Kirito. Hopefully the villains are semi-interesting.

Looks like some new girls just got added to the bunch. Rio is doing fine now and we just found out that he has a person-shaped spirit sleeping inside of him which is very rare and that's why he's gonna get treated much more highly in that village. Other than that, they were having a good time with everyone.

The ending scene can be troublesome as those monsters seem to be coming for the egg that the guy just stole.

For 5 years, the noble didn't change the way they treated Rio (relation noble/commoner).
In five hours, the demi-humans who were full of hatred towards human... started apologizing and calling him "Rio-sama" (relation between interspecies).

Wouldn't that be much more interesting if they had to learn about Rio and stuff before going full "Rio-sama" ?

Well, at least, Latifa was cute in her new dress. Kinda wondering why Rio is not telling her about Tokyo and stuff.
I don't really have any idea where this anime is going... except going to some random place for unknown reason (except Rio's mother mention it once).
This is not enough after five episode...
