THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Heh, Junpei and Yuuji are actually a bit alike, at least in their terms of tastes for movies. We also got to see Junpei's mom making an appearance.

Mahito and Junpei's relationship is kinda creepy tbh. It's a Cursed Spirit manipulating a human. However, I think this episode captured the psychology pretty well when it comes to character relationships. The relationship between Junpei/Yuuji and Junpei/Mahito is different that it's like day and night.

Nanamin's OVERTIME, is OVERDRIVE. He'd thought that defeating Mahito will be a cinch, but it's clearly a test of Jujutsu powers of sorcerers vs. the Cursed Spirits. If he isn't exorcised soon, the whole situation will be severe.

Yuuji and Junpei's first impressions hitting off well, and we finally got to see Junpei's mother Nagi, and Getou snitching in the background. Even during their comedic dinner time, the two consistently opened up to one another slowly, but well...that is, until Junpei contemplates Yuuji being a bad Jujutsu sorcerer that only kills people (and that is NOT what Junpei wants to experience anymore).

Unfortunately, one of Sukuna's Fingers in the Yoshino House can only mean one thing: a MILF killed by cursed spirits. and if that's bad enough, this tragedy only sets the rift between him and Junpei further by Mahito's ideals.

Getou himself as an assistant to Mahito is already sus, and with Sukuna's Fingers laying the footwork for the conflict between the Cursed Spirit wielder and Sukuna's Host. Really excited and anticipating much!

F to Junpei's mom, she had a great personality and to make matters worse, another milf has left us

Shit has been going down this episode and Junpei's story has reached a new level of tragic. How Mahito is playing him is absolutely wicked.

Nanami's ability and real face are badass. I became love him more and more.
Yuuji and Junpei's relationship was wholesome...until Junpei turn dark side. I'm very sad his mother death. Mahito is truly evil.

Mahito still just bores the hell out of me and I just can't seem to find him evil or disturbing or interesting as usual, at least Junpei's mom was dope before she got got.

So no juju stroll cause this episode was enough as is. Junpei's mom dying was not suprising because the show was getting a little too happy. I hope next episode Junpei becomes good again or at least Itadori fights for real.

Wait, is this a ... https://imgur.com/a/hk8zV4e

Manga readers knew it was coming, but damn seeing it animated makes Junpei mom’s death and his subsequent descent into madness hard to watch. Great episode as usual, mainly a setup for the action we’ll get next week, but fun nonetheless.

Hmm a time based ability skill set huh it sure fits Nanami's nature pretty well. Itadori's ability to bond with others so easily is impressive. Despite the odd nature of their relationship Junpei's mother looked to have a standard relationship with her son. Too bad about the mother dying so early though. There will be a time when Itadori will need to face and kill curses and enemy sorcerers but now isn't that time. Killing a being even a monster like a curse is something that will change you and Itadori at the moment is still a child. But it looks like this is one bridge that Itadori will face much sooner than expected. Quite curious to see how the confrontation between Itadori and Junpei will go considering the former's attempt to bond with him.

Nanami was a badass. Too bad he wasn't able to defeat Mahito. Tho that would have been too early.

It was sad to see Junpei's getting killed. Mahito and Getou are just pure evil.

Great episode but damn it turned so dark so fast.

Nanami was badass in the beginning.

I really loved how Junpei and Yuuji got along, I also really liked they were having a super fun time along with their Mom. It's really a shame how things ended up.
Mahito and co planted the finger just to put Junpei just to set him on his vengeful path, so he can force Yuuji to give more power to Sukuna. Quite the idea but just plain evil. :(

I hope Yuuji can save Junpei before he's too far gone.

This was a nice episode, like the cliffhanger.
Nanami was such a badass, he's a great character.
Like the itadori and Junpei bonding.
Wanna see sukuna soon

Very excited for the next episode :)

Awww no Juju Stroll this week. Bummer.

I wonder why Junpei doesn’t even question a weird looking dude with stitches all over not even once lol but welp, what happened happened and now it seems like we’ll be focusing on the other students too next week.

RIP Junpei’s mum. The latest victim of the latest shounen plot...

Even though I knew what was coming, it really sucks to watch how it would all play out. Junpei and Yuji seemingly getting along quite well with the former's mom watching, and then BAM, shit happened.

Yuji will be forced to make a tough decision next week, most likely, now that Junpei is out for vengeance.

Have to give much of that credit to MAPPA for really creating that atmosphere and tone shift. Had my skin crawling for the majority of the episode and I'm gonna admit, that left me more speechless than in that ep 9 of Wandering Witch a few weeks ago.

Decent episode adaptation of Junpei’s character arc. I never found it that interesting to begin with in the manga but at least it will soon be over so that we can move on to the better part of this season.

Nanami vs. Mahito was incredibly short, but damn the action scenes in this show are done so well.

Yuuji and Junpei getting along was nice and wholesome to see, but that didn't last long once Junpei's mom got killed. Now Junpei is going full villain and I'm excited to see his clash with Yuuji next episode.

It’s almost a 1:1 copy of the manga. The manga is already really fast paced to begin with. The character development and story building is not bad, but it’s the weakest point of JJK.

That overtime was pretty epic yet reckless, still though, Mahito didn't go full out either way. I really wonder what Mahito can do when he's serious.

Ok you can't just introduce a nice milf and kill her off instantly :( Rip!

That's pretty interesting, Junpei is being used by Mahito and Getou, eventho he hasn't met the latter yet. Let's see what Yuuji can do in this situation.

You shouldn't as you don't have the mystery of the villain at all. Since Mappa didn't adapt volume 0 of the manga, a big mystery point of the villain group is just missing.

This show really doesn’t hold back when it comes to tragedy. Such a shame that Junpei’s smoking hot mom died.

Good episode. The fight ended pretty quickly. Itadori and Junpei got along with each other as expected, but that obviously wasn’t going to last. I’m surprised that they were divided so quickly, especially from them killing his mother right away.

My heart completely broke for Junpei this episode. His mum seemed to be the only thing keeping him grounded and after her death and Mahito skilfully dripping poison in his ear, it sent him over the edge.

The other thing that I find so sad is that Junpei clearly thinks Mahito cares about him but Mahito doesn't care about anyone; he just wants to use Junpei.

At this point in the story, Nanami and Mahito's fight was more of a way to give the audience a little peek at Mahito as a cursed spirit rather than bringing the action.

Actually, they're planning on forcing Yuji to make a pact with Sukuna, not knowing he has already made a pact with Sukuna. So pretty much this whole shit with Junpei and his mom is pointless. Junpei went through all this for nothing.

I'm aware but I figured that they would be able to adjust the terms like Sukuna giving him more power or something to the point he can take control easily or something along those lines.

We got a chance to see Overtime Nanami temporally wound Mahito enough to escape with his own life. Meanwhile, Itadori and Junpei started to bond over movies and Junpei invited Itadori over his house for dinner. Things were going well until Junpei's mom was killed by a cursed spirit that was drawn to Sukuna's finger that was planted by Mahito. Now Junpei is going on a rampage at school using his own cursed powers.

Amazing episode. My favorite part of the episode was definitely the character dynamic between Itadori and Junpei.(it's unfortunate how it looks like they won't be friendly with each other anymore with the way the episode ended.) They feel very natural talking to each other and it's great to watch.

Itadori's conversation about killing and how if he kills the value of life of in general and the way he perceives the idea of it really added lots of character to him. It's also clear that he's growing as a character through his conversation with Nanami. Can't wait for next week. I loved this episode

Yuuji is such a good kid, man.

Idk if I should keep my hopes up in him still managing to help Yoshino, but all that foreshadowing re: eventually having to take someone out and his honesty in saying that the emotional fall-out of dabbling in that scares him is already making me dread whenever he inevitably has to go through it. Ig the question is really whether it'll be a worst-case scenario type of situation, or not.
