Damn, shit gets real in the entertainment world. A rival using intimidating tactics against a video producer....

That's some low life tactic if you ask me. Then again, I can't say I'm really surprised given the society they're in. Luckily, there's problem solvers like Makoto. Takashi Andou is also such a scary badass this episode.

Makoto is a stand up guy. Helping out that poor sap Youtuber even after Ryuusei tricked the G Boys like that. Making up a fake feud just to get more video views, A damn dirty trick. Ryuusei is definitely getting desperate after the views have been falling lately. I guess after doing the same stuff for 5 years people stern satisfied anymore like they were at the start. That's the message of this episode I suppose. Just like Makoto was talking with Zero One and Isogai at the diner to start and end the episode. The message that times are changing, you can't stay stagnant forever when the world changes around you. Just like how video services are making paper products antiquated, the G Boys gotta adapt to the times and get the word out that way too. I can dig that tbh. Always helps to stay ahead of the curve.

Makoto showed again how good of a guy he is like I said. Saving not only Ryuusei but the punks with the gorilla masks. King just about had them both, that trick he did throwing the sledgehammer up and catching it was wild. Would definitely scare me to bits. But things all ended well with this self contained episode. Looking forward to more interactions with the Red Angels.

Huh. Youtuber in an anime, felt a bit odd lol.

Though goes to show, wouldn't want to fuck with the G boys, or to trick them any time soon.

Interesting take on the entertainment industry while also involving gangs. Gotta admit, the "Smash Bros." moment with King was probably my favorite part of the episode. I was almost convinced that he would beat the living shit of that poor boy lmao.

However, I thought that the story is kind of weirdly paced. Maybe that's just me, but I'm hoping it still gets better with future episodes.

This episode was boring imo. G boys got hired by a youtuber and got dragged into his fake youtube drama.

Isn’t Makoto too soft for someone who’s really close with a gang?

Makoto......boiiiiii......how is he so kind & trusting in that environment

Anyway that was a pretty good episode, I enjoyed it! Could do without those preachy bits by Zero One lol it’s already pretty straightforward. Damn, Takashi & that hammer, that was impressive.

Also it seriously needs more character development. For ANYONE. Takashi or Makoto, whoever I’ll take it. What is Makoto’s motivation????? Why is he so helpful lol he just wants to keep his neighbourhood safe/help his friend’s gang out???? Hope they touch on it more in future episodes. Everything is so one-note thus far.

but i’ll probably remember over and over again

The point of this episode is now we know that G-Boy has a channel with million subscribers just in case they need to spread information in a later episode.

Also, Takashi choose to host Super Macho party despite his subordinate suggest him another party is gold, will G-boy participate in this party too? LOL

Youtube in anime is very weird I would like to say. Legit eating onions and falling down stars makes you money .

G Boys get hired to protect Mr. Onion star from the Monkey gang however it turned out Mr. Onion star was the man behind the mask all along making the Monkey gang look like the people at fault. I was kinda bored cause everything seems way to damn obvious in this episode but I really like opening and ending as well as the art.

Ok episode :)

It's not as much Youtube on Anime but video streaming on Japan. I remember a few years ago a plain cute Japanese girl making monthly 3000€ just by filming herself eating lunch and she only uploaded 1-2 videos a month I think.

I know the novel and the drama are older, but it still feels like an out of touch DRRR.

The Gay Boys back at it once again. Nothing can get in the way of the Gay Boys.

This show isn't really doing it for me so far, thought the story would be a little more serious and seinen like.

Okay.

Here Makoto's got some escort mission for a dumb video content creator. He aggreed, he even involved the whole G-boy gangs to clear the mission. Such a dedicated person, King. But, actually, its just a far-fetched fighting, a scandalous scheme over that two different content creators. Its not even a real thing happened between them. Because, yeah, they just too cunning.

In fact, they both used that thing for getting more pupularity over the internet. G-boys got betrayed. Classic attempt. Easy case so far, but its getting a difficulty in the process. Until that fat ass content creator realized he used a wrong route and deal. Yeah, the agreement between them from behind the screen, seemed reaching a dead end that ended up no deal for his incoming video. They almost got ambushed.

Fortunately, there were, obviously, G-boys already, that stand by to gave that bunch of shitty gorrillas a nice lesson. Because they were all messed up with the wrong person, the wrong community. The king almost got pissed off there, only to let them go because of Makoto told him to stop. Oh, come on, boy! At least give that fat ass some real hard slap in his ass too!

So, yeah, thats it. The same episodic theme, like before. A simple case needed a simple resolution too. I don't find it boring. But its just, out of steam in a fast already .... I really wonder until how long these would reach the actual plot? Lets see the next!

Damn... I loved how they dissed Youtube culture like that in this episode. Also, it's really refreshing to see an anime address contemporaneous trends like this. Like it or not, Youtube and the whole new industry of "influencers" are a big part of today's entertainment culture, but not many shows illustrate this. I'd say even Western series have recently (like maybe since a couple years ago) started to portray this.

Although enjoyable, this show, so far at least, isn't exactly like I expected. Although the atmosphere still greatly reminds me of DRR!, I expected it to tackle more mature themes. Also, I don't really understand what this G Boys gang's purpose actually is? Like from the synopsis, I expected them to be a proper street gang dealing with the usual street fights/drug dealing/protection taxes blah blah gang shit.

I think this may have been the most boring episode of anime I've watched this year. Probably going to drop the show now. The first two eps were kind of disappointing, but the show just displayed how generic and uninteresting it ultimately is with this third ep. This is 'Sing "Yesterday" For Me' all over again.

It is a 4th of the way through the season and the plot still has not started. The inciting incident that the synopsis states can not be meaningful enough if it has not even been introduced yet. I’ m gonna drop it, but I’ll check back in on the score every now and then to see if it really starts to improve.

I am a person who likes video creation and editing, so I was on the edge of my seat for this episode.
Every time something happened, I was thrilled to see what happens next.
The hoax was a little unexpected but that's fine.
The ending with the G-Boys catching the monkeys guys and our video creator was amazing.
Takashi had a one look on his face and that was amazing.

I loved this episode and kind of unexpected.

Lmao this episode, poking fun at Youtubers and the fake drama shit they stir up for more clicks and views.

Also, Gong likening the orchestrated drama between Ryuusei and the Todabashi people to pro wrestling reminds me of that ridiculous boxing match between Logan Paul and KSI a few years back. I wonder if that had any influence on that particular metaphor xD

Decent episode, it's cool that they tackled the bullshit side of the online entertainment industry. Where they fake having beef for clout, which a lot of youtubers probably do.

Though you don't mess with Takeshi though, if it weren't for Makoto Ryuusei's head would have gone splat. Ngl Takeshi was really badass at that moment.

I expected more from this show though when I first saw it, but it still is a decent show. Hopefully things start to pick up eventually.

Very interesting to see this episode adapted so well, considering the source material is pretty outdated. The way they approached even Ryuusei's character with his really good line "not a polished lie, but a cheap reality, as it is" was really nice (because that's why people go on YouTube in the first place), even though he turned out to be a scumbag in the end for tricking Makoto and the G-Boys. I'm really liking the show so far, it's been really entertaining.

The show really suffer for lack of characterization. As a result what we get is basically some plot going from here to there and just to see King doing his thing to save the day, without actually care enough about the characters. The show is already less gimmicky so it didn't had enough sparks to make it interesting. I hope to see some characters arc in the next episode instead of this episodic G Boys adventure.

This episode...commentary BS and dissing to the online entertainment industry a.k.a YouTube drama and such between YouTubers. Still on the episodic themes...

I must say that this is quite accurate to a degree on making the drama bastardized, even for content creators looking to go all out to thwart each other. But if anything, don't mess with the Ikebukuro King Takashi, or shit's gonna come flying.

Oh yes, it looks that way.

Still decent...and being a novel adaptation I don't have high hopes for a storybook-like content choosing. The novel's outdated, so there's that as well.

Maybe Ryuusei should start using Patreon or something. Who lives solely off YT money in these days anyway?

Lame episode and mediocre series so far. I was seriously expecting this to be darker and more seinen-like. Can someone kill Makoto's girl already?

Also G-Boys, as a gang, leave a lot to be desired, honestly. Especially Takashi. I mean, a bit of hammer tossing here and some crazy looks there but the guy is a bit too soft for a gang leader, isn't he?

But this episode is entertaining! King Takashi and that hammer throw and catch! So intense! Takashi listened to Makoto, their bond is surely tight.

Although tbh, it is kinda relatable to most street guys.
Its like SoL but normie.

The stand-off between Gboys and RA was so relatable lmao
that shit always happens to us before some frat war begins.
Also people like Makoto and Mitsuki are pretty
common in gangs contrary to the popular belief that gangsters
