I just want to say that cooking like that is very strange and somehow the judges like it. Looks like Yukihira's match is going well. Unfortunately, Tsukasa had to lose to Saiba, a surprising result.

I like the last scene when Yukihira give some tea to Tsukasa. want to see an angel?

just to let u know yuki morosaki went on maternity leave around this arc (Morisaki is the brains of all the recipes used in the series. The series officially lists her as a "collaborator").

as u can see in the blue arc the author used superpower and weird tools to cook instead of using skills, did they show the competitors cooking process , so in the end it turns out that yuki morosaki was behind the success of SNS , the author just screwed all of it and dropped the food war part to the ground with not even using proper meals and recipes, the only thing that the author could think was the

Why do I feel like this is super blown over the top, and just all put in to make some drama for this season? Like I get, if you wanna make a villain, it's best to make him look strong, but I dunno, first to beat Yukihira, also his dad, and now Tsukasa like no sweat? Honestly preferred Erina's dad to this guy lol

This is ridiculous but it's still on my mind. How they created food with chainsaws, injection, fireballs, guilottines, and giant frying pans can be a food like this, is this called a magic?

the manga got rushed in the final arc and axed because it was bad , too many people dropped it and sales of the manga wasn't going very well (sales: vol.31 (280740) - vol.35 (178355)) :

1. when asahi defeated jouichiro 5-0 people dropped it.
2. when they saw dark chef cooking with Chainsaw and baking with Dynamite people dropped it.
3. when they saw asahi with superpower people dropped it .

Okay I understand, for now I feel that this season has a very fast storyline, when looking from the previous season they are very detailed to explain the recipe, the ecchi scene, and also the comments which are difficult for me to understand. As a result, there are many YouTubers cooking/chef hard to say that have managed to make several dishes on SNS and am I the only one who feels that the storyline in this season is too fast?

Yeah. This ability came out of nowhere. However, it is like the God's Tongue which is also questionable. I mean this is where me and so many others had an issue with. Actually it is at least the second major problem of why this arc became very 'down low'. Though I give props to the credits giving small glimpse of Asahi's past but yeah. All else considered it seems logic and realism was lost as in any Series that tends lose some course eventually.

The first half with Souma winning against Sarge was good, but the second half was really challenging my suspension of disbelief. The underground chef organization and the cooking methods of the Noirs were already jumping the shark, but Asahi pulling some Naruto ability to win was the last straw. The author really didn't know what to do to make him so OP, so he went with that. Now I see manga fans were not kidding when they said BLUE arc was a trainwreck.

Felt very bad for Eishi, it was obvious he was going to lose as soon as it was revealed he would go against Asahi, but the last scene where he tells Souma he has to win made me really frustrated. Though this arc is probably the worst of the anime, Eishi managed to improve it a bit with his new Azami-free self. I enjoyed him more as a good guy than as a villain.

It seems Takumi will face an unholy fusion of Escanor and Colonel Sanders next week, lol.

Poor Tsukasa didn't stand a chance. His skills are formidable, but Asahi's crossed knives skill is the equivalent of a cheat code which does make their battle all the more frustrating. >.<

At least the first half was better as we got to see how Yukihira beat Sarge, with how he was put his customers first as he made his dish. Granted, since I prefer my cakes to have dairy and sugar, I would still choose Sarge's cake, but the way that Yukihira used his creativity to create his dish deserves a lot of respect.

Either way, if there's one thing this series can still do really well, it's the foodgasms and Sarge's foodgasm, along with the other judges later on, were pretty sexy. =3

Ah yes the fabled cross knives. The ability to instantly become better than anybody just by holding their cooking tool.

One of my biggest gripes with this arc is how they use some of our favorite and most powerful characters (Joichiro and Tsukasa) as a crutch for making Saiba Asahi brokenly op. Like really? These two people that Soma has idolized for such a long time are just gonna lose to some stupid supposed "ability" that Asahi has? Just pisses me off.

Praying for the end to be better..... Anything to give us closure

Madness! That guy's a monster!! Poor Tsukasa... he feels empty without his cooking weapon :( Souma needs to give Asahi a piece of his mind. He can't let him have his way and take away everyone's personal knives or whatever. He needs to be stopped! >_< I hope Souma can beat that Asahi guy in the final round and returning everyone's cooking utensils to the rightful owners like in did before.

Why is there no superpower tag for this season?

I just got so many questions, like, say, how does any of this work? What is the correlation between the knife and the chef's skill? Does the knife hold onto a part of the chef's soul in this universe?

Is his power exclusive to cooking tools? Or does it work with other things as well? Like, say, if some military experts gave him their gun, would he be able to shoot as well as them? What if he stole a pen from the smartest student in his class and took an exam with it? What if he got to drive other people's car?

Ugh my brain just crashed. Send help, please.

Big goof for this episode. They legit just gave Saiba Kakashi's copycat style. That's all it comes down to.
And who did the freaking editing for this season. The words are cut out.

This aint even the first time the editing was bad. Some of the words from last episode were offscreen. Editing is a shit job.

With each passing episode I remember more and more that this arc was a mistake. Seeing BLUE was something that I, and I'm sure others, wanted after it was first mentioned in the story but the way it's being executed is so terrible. If it was more like the Autumn Election without some shit villain and wacky cooking techniques it would have been so much more enjoyable. But nah, let's throw in instant perfect copycat abilities and chainsaws lol.

Asahi is what happens when you take Mimasaka and subtract him studying and mimic how his opponents operate while also trying to study their recipes and try to perfect it while adding a few of his own twist to it. In subtracting that you add copious amounts of BS in the form of what we know as Cross Knives which is BS on top of BS with a side of BS with the desert being the chainsaw & bomb special, iam not sure if calling attention to bad writing necessarily excuses it.

Mimisaka at least fervently studies his foes, which gives his copycat act some believeability. Nakiri's God Tongue is effectively something you can just ascribe to natural talent or particularly sensitive tastebuds.

But this? This is just a straight-up superpower. I can't suspend my disbelief for it at all.

I call your logic bullshit. It's simply the progress of any show. The longer it goes on, the wilder it gets. It happens in all forms of medium where the start point and end point of a story are not fixed.

Personally as a fan of the show, I like how wild things are getting. Perhaps they get so wild there is no space to continue but this season is not a surprise. We seem to be putting the war finally into the title after many opening and ends hinted that the tools the chefs were using conveyed a level of supernatural power which gave them strength. I for one think this competition is the best yet.

Saiba Asahi really seems overpowered. And now with the tool from Eishi he will be even stronger. I wonder how Souma is going to beat him. (They'll just make something up again I guess.)

Yeah. A bit weird those superpowers. But they always existed. (Just not that extreme until now.)

Funny when Eishi wondered about why Asahi wanted his tool. I thought he wanted it to humiliate him. When he just seemed laid back and not to care. (Just like someone that could just buy another tool - not caring if it is some old or inherited thing.)

I hope the Aldini brothers will win. (And hopefully a bit screentime for Megumi as well.) But they might skip those matches quickly again to only show Souma and Asahi.

NEVER KNEW THAT SARGE HAD A BIG HEART.

Mr. White knight vs Asashi. Sincerly I wanted Eishi to win but what can we do it is what it is and at least he shown us he's outstanding improvement communicating with his ingredients and creating the best dish. Sadly Asashi has a technique that can imitate/steal other techniques too, he even folded his underlings just to win this round. I don't know if he really wants to humiliate Eishi or he knows that he's gonna lose if he doesn't resort that way.

This is getting worse with each passing episode...and my score can't go any lower. There's something very irritating about knowing this season will claim around two hours more of my life. I wonder if Asahi was a purposeful One-for-All ripoff? I really wish I knew how the writing in this manga went from fun and informative in the first few seasons to a disaster like this. You could see the threads of destruction in the last season where a logical difference of opinions was amplified into a warlike conflict, but I never expected that they would braid together into something this terrible. At least we now know the motive Asahi has for marrying Erina: he'll get her God tongue, though the implication that marriage is chattel slavery for the woman is repugnant.
Every day you can read a book or watch some anime is a good day!
