Well I got to say I am at least 60 percent satisfied with the series

Though final arc fail a lot and villians didn t live up to the hype and anticlimatic and heroes win too easily

I am willing to give this series 7.8 or 7.9 out of 10 with complete conclusion that tie up all loose end.

Series could been much better if it wasn t rush. But I am okay with this as long as ending and epilogue is good.

At least all importants characters get neccesary timescreen and impact well good enough for overall series. Which make me satisfied with all of this

Return leuwis wasn t shocking but creator should explain why he turn good or maybe we will find out.

Seems like they landed in New York.

Either way, their determination and courage paid off after all this time. Good for the kids, proud of them.

“Oh your mom died? Damn. At least you get to go to the human world!” Wtf Mujika lol..

Yea I’m sorry this was complete bullshit. Even the characters broke the 4th wall and realised how stupid it was for there to be no reward for the demon god. No stakes at all anymore, all the tension in this series has been long gone with Emma and co able to use talk no jutsu out of every situation.

Literally the only reason to keep reading the series was to find out what the promise was and even that’s disappointing now. What happened to the person who wrote the first arc? Did they become ill and have to drop out or something?? This feels like some 4Kids Saturday morning anime dub with absolutely no drama. I loved this series so much.. how it remains at an 8.77 on MAL is beyond me.

Exactly my thought. This is so damn disappointed. It had so much potential and it just seem to end up so easily. So, so disappointed.

Reading this is frustrating. I don't think I have ever felt that with any other manga.

I'm tempted to complain a lot about this chapter but I'm going to show a little restraint because I still feel there's a swerve coming even though the creators spent several pages trying to shoot fan rumors down. The only reason I feel that way is because of Phil's expression on the final page. Not that a swerve is going to greatly improve my overall opinion of the manga.

I'm having incredibly conflicting feelings right now. This was THE manga that got me constantly reading manga, THE first manga I ever purchased, THE first manga I started reading weekly for many years since the Escape arc times, one of my favorite manga of all time for a good portion of time (even beyond the escape arc).

And while I should be feeling depressed about that ending very soon since I've had a lot of history with it, a part of me also just feels happy that the manga's ending since it's really slumped heavily the past few months. All that tension that was built in the first few arcs feel incredibly deflated now since it feels like everything was resolved way too easily with no real 'catch' per say. It's bizarre but hey, 90% of shounen manga have deflating final arcs (except Bakuman, Rurouni Kenshin, Gintama and maybe a couple others).

What a shame really.

Is it just me thats confused on how fast they got over Isabella's death?

Glad they got to go to the human world finally but is that seriously the promise? Literally nothing? The past few months I've been worrying that someone was gonna have to die or something lmao

I will show this chapter to everyone who said "just wait for it, there's going to be a huge twist with a Promise! You're just salty because you expected a new Death Note but it was me, a fairytale".

Sure buddy, the twist that there is no twist at all because writer rushing to the ending and doesn't care about quality at all.

And it's huge because, as Rey said, it all went TOO SMOOTHLY for the entirety of final arc.
They've gone from nearly getting killed and eaten to getting victories one after another without almost any sacrifices.

Emma could have lost so many things- her life, her family, her humanity, her eyesight, but no, whatever, you suffered enough so promise is free. Everyone is okay and well, you don't have to sacrifice anything.

What bought me at the first place was great thrilling plot. Remember how she left some children behind? It was a very hard decision and I really wanted to see more stuff like this- I wanted these children to mature really fast, lose they friends and especially Emma should have released that things are not THAT simple in adults world, but hey, who needs this shit? Friendship and magic all the way. You don't have to change at all, the Universe itself will help you to achieve everything you ever wanted.

This is some DomeKano writing level, and DomeKano was dumpster fire from the very beginning, how you hit THIS rock bottom is just beyond my understanding.

Yeah, they probably will experience some sort of trouble in human world, but it's not like I care about this, not anymore. Hope there are 2 or 3 chapters left, I've lost all hope in humanity and creativity reading this.

Arrghh, I am so conflicted about the direction the manga has gone in this last arc. I want to hold off though and wait for it to end before passing judgement, but I really feel deflated reading it now. There's so little tension, no real stakes.

Even with Isabella sacrificing herself, I feel like it's just there as an afterthought. There was an attempt to reconcile the conflicting feelings the kids had about her, but before it could really be explored she was dead. and then forgotten.

The promise has been so important to me, so I hope that Emma is being coy with her wording and there really is a reward. Because an all-mighty demon lord feeling regret and compassion for humans doesn't seem like a thing they would do; especially considering they live outside of Time itself.

I don't want drama for the sake of drama, but this series has shown that it is fairly realistic for a post-apocalyptic demon hellscape, so this feels very wrong.

...you mean just like Lewius who loved to hunt children and kill them, who was one of THE cruelest demons turned good "just because"?

Guess Emma-therapy really is some sort of magic, just think for yourself, Lewius, instead of taking revenge on little brats, helped their plan and saved Muzica and Sonju, and Peter Ratri after talking with Emma for a bit committed suicide instead of shooting her right on the spot.

What the heck is this? How much of a bad writer do you have to be to write something like this and think it's ok? Even if the author is rushing the ending there's no excuse for what's been happening for a while. I feel like the author just doesn't care anymore lol.

isabella's death felt completely disregarded here :/

everything is going too well for there not to be a promise.

also, last page we would've seen emma most likely but we only see phil, ray and norman (he's at the very back) soo i think emma must've sacrificed herself.

this is the final arc so i hope this ends in a few chapters and wraps with a (kinda) positive conclusion lol

How could I forget that! You're absolutely right. So many characters acting completely out-of-character, I've lost the plot.

If I go on the manga's page it shows/has gone down to 8.59, if so, I would like to know it is possible that we see two different scores.

Yeah, it's showing 8.59 for me as well, must be updating. I haven't changed my score yet, will reassess it when the manga actually finishes. I am holding on to hope!

there's gotta be some kind of catch- i thought the original with "the family" would be that emma would have to stay behind while everyone else left, but i really think there's gotta be some kind of catch. like... the focus going to phil on the last page? sus. maybe.

if everything is genuinely fine, i'm hoping that everything wraps up in a couple chapters and there isn't one last arc where they face off against the human world or something. i just want things to wrap up nicely.

weird to think that i've been following this manga for almost a year now- the first one i've truly kept up with

If this is the actual ending and there is no plot twist and they manage to live in human world that easily its gonna be total B.S it feels like the writing went so downhill im so sad i have been reading this manga since the day it started serialization and really enjoyed it but now there is no hype

I have been waiting to see the Promise before complaining about the direction the series has taken. I was definitely upset when Norman was "talk no jutsu"'d from his almost villain status back to one of the heroes. I knew Isabella would help the kids. That I feel they foreshadowed from the end of the first arc. Wasn't that surprised when she died either, or the fact that they have so easily gotten over it. But there being no reward required....extremely disappointed. However, I have 1 small sliver of hope for a turnaround.....Emma was holding Phil's hand when they left, yet she is no where to be seen in the final frame. I am hoping she either lied about not sacrificing herself or they took her as the reward. There needs to be some sort of stakes or lasting effect from all that has happened

So the theory of Emma's promise being already fulfilled is completely disregarded by this chapter as the promise hasn't been implemented, meaning that all the kids surviving against the odds is plot armor to a whole new level, Ugh, what the fuck happened to this manga?

Man, Mujika lmfao, "oh your mom died, that's bad, at least you can go to the human world now" what the fuck is this dialogue xD.

It's really hard to believe that a Manga I once loved and was one of my favorites ended up having terrible decisions and plot direction to the point I might end up hating it, please don't do this to me, tell me there's a twist that will save this manga from being a complete failure, this was supposed to be a mind games manga that had actual danger on it and wasn't shy of making their characters walk through hell... What went wrong?

This chapter pissed me off real bad.

At least we finally found out what the promise was about. You'd been waiting on that for months now and the explanation was such a bailout with all the suspense leading up to its reveal.

Maybe there is a catch after all and the kids are separated because Phil's holding Emma's hand before they go in. Or maybe some of them aged in reverse. Or not, I don't know.

Frankly, if the end is going to be happy and all children will live in the human world for no charge, I will not like the end. I wish at least that you would sacrifice either ima life or another person. The sacrifice will give the end more value and feelings, but maybe I am wrong. Maybe there will be a sacrifice in the remaining chapters.

I finally get to agree with you recently. All this time being fan of this manga, hoping to see how the authors would make a mindblowing ending, yet we get this. Why is it that shounen manga tend to have disappointing endings?

What was even more disappointing is that the promise didn't require any reward for it to be remade. Like, really? At least they should have sacrificed Emma. I mean, this manga has actually killed people, and those deaths were actually impactful and important (Yuugo, Lucas). Hell, they even almost killed Norman and Ray in the first arc. And they are telling me that they won't pay a thing for getting what they wanted? This is far too wrong. Sometimes, Emma doesn't even feel like the protagonist. If she was the actual reward for the demon god, she would have felt more like the actual protagonist, and her character would have been more beloved by us fans. So much wasted potential.

I had high expectations about this manga, for real. I won't give it a score lower than 6, because the rest of arcs were pretty good, but it won't get more than a 7 from me.

And Isabella's death. Award for the most anti-climactic death in recent times. They literally forgot about her death in one chapter, even though she has been taking care of all the children for so long. She should have survived.
