| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Veldora Tempest :D Looks like we get storytelling and narrative from a different perspective related to the beginning of the episode. I guess it's a clever way recapping the plot. (got to see Rimuru fighting some of the earlier monsters in the show again) Also got to hear storytelling about Shizu, Rimuru taking on her will, the kids he met, etc. Pretty much a narrative Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken recap in a nutshell. |

| I was wondering what they are going to do with Veldora's original story. Turns out it is him narrating everything that has happened so far to Ifrit. I will be lying if I say that I am not disappointed. They could have atleast announced beforehand that it would be a filler. They should have used this episode to better flesh out the main story instead of skipping stuff. |
| It's the end...for now. Veldora the tsundere dragon being the narrator? Hmm...considering that he's been out since the 1st few episodes, it's not bad...but it's not good either. Considering the fact that many 2-cours and above get a somewhat recap episode to ease the storyline, to put that here in the mindset that the story is done for now seems appropriate, but it's gonna disappoint more people. To many who want the last episode to flesh the story that's set for Season 2, apologies because you're not gonna find it here. Oh well, leave it to the same staff and crew who will (most likely) overpromise and underdeliver Season 2 next year. |

| This season left a lot to be desired and it's really rare for a double cour show to make me feel this way. There were some parts I was able to enjoy, but overall rather lackluster. |

This one has an interesting world with an interesting plot (sid meier's civilization anyone) with a cool mc as a slime and very cool side characters (my fav is gobuta for obvious reasons). Anyway giving it a 8/10 for the season, definitely one of the best new shows that came out in 2018 with rascal does not dream of bunny girl. It's very entertaining and i can't wait for next year to see how slime and his kingdom fare. I really want whatever they're smoking , tbh |
| I wonder now, how will the second season begin? because apparently Rimuru returned to the city without having fought before hinata or if they retake the little arc where he returns to the city of the dwarves and then meet her? I do not want to think that they would skip that scene many details would be lost and considering the last arch so rushed. Considering that it will take until 2020 maybe you wait until the manga has enough material to adapt it, but it is still very little history at that time or maybe you consider finishing the story hastily because many manga that adapt the light novel do not end up covering all the history. |

| This episode was by far the worst So the anime is over.. It was such a big disappointment. It started really well but after Shizu died everything fallen apart.The last 12 episodes were so bad, boring, mediocre at best Final score 6/10 (because i liked the 1st ED)Probably i won't watch the sequel |

| What an absolutely terrible decision to have the last episode as a recap. This one shouldn't even count. Speaking of the main show, the first-half was pretty good, but imo the second-half pulled it down a little. 6/10. Will look forward to the second season though. |

| Poor way to sign off but then again we were informed that the main story would end at the 23rd Episode so there’s no helping that. Even then, I feel as though a couple of minutes to set up the next season with a cliffhanger or so would’ve sufficed. Great to see the Tsudere Great Veldora, he even finally admitted it lmao, back at it yet again! Mad props to the VA for making him so much more intriguing and fun to keep up with. Lol @ the drastic switch from killer mode to game mode there as he took out a Shogi Board at the start, hilarious stuff! Another lol moment goes to how he attempted to escape his loss through laughing, singing and idle talking and dat flip to Emperor piece xD. Ifrit, on the other hand, clearly showed a very different side of him I never anticipated for. I didn’t imagine he’d feel regret over Shizu’s condition and it just overall felt a little too forced just for this Special episode. Recapping through playing reused images is a little lazy from the producers part too, would’ve liked to see more new scenes. As for the whole show in general, - Storyline/Plot Development: 5/10, possibly 5.5/10. Pretty average-fine(ish), overall. I honestly don’t see how this show is a standout among the masses of the Isekai sub-genre shows for it seemed just about fine to me but maybe that’s just me. Good world-building here and there though but sadly I was never hooked so it didn’t help me change my initial impression as I didn’t find myself caring much about it. - Characters/Characterization: 6/10 Mixed feelings here. Some of the Characters, such as Rimuru, Veldora and Shizu, and many others were really good but the villains were more often than not just ‘meh’. A pretty darn big cast of characters too, and imo it didn’t help. - Sound Department: 7/10 Both Op and ED themes were okay but some of the soundtracks, especially those battle osts, were amazing, such as in last episode’s fight. Not many stood out but there surely are some I’d like to have a listen to again. - Art/Animation: 8/10 Albeit a few poor shots here and there which is the norm really, nothing too bad as such, the overall animation was good. I’d prefer to see some more innovative Character Designs and all but nothing too much of a biggie again. Some glorious fight scenes really takes the spotlight in this regard though! - Personal Enjoyment: 6/10 It was fun, just fun. Like I mentioned before, I wasn’t really hooked despite the critically acclaimed introductory episode or anywhere from then on so it was just fun and nothing more. First half was obviously a lot more engaging and more cool fighting scenes too while the second half delved a lot more into the characters, so a fine mix overall. -> Overall: 6/10. Will definitely watch the upcoming Second Season but I don’t really have sky-high hopes for it or anything of the sort. |

| If I wasn't sure about score, this episode surely would lower it. It's ok for a special, which usually end up wtih lower score. Having it together with series pulls it down. Yeah, I'm disappointed after a positive surprise that was previous episode. | I loved this episode. Veldora got a ton of extra characterisation and I was just laughing my ass off. I don't care if it is filler as long as it is fun. Well this was a fun series. I could describe this series in word, it would be "consistenty". It began fun and it ended fun. 8/10. |

| I was really hyped for the Veldora episode, but honestly, this was done rather poorly :/ They hardly showed anything other than the main story with Veldora and Ifrit talking over it. They didn't go through any of the training that they did and they didn't add in any of the great sage's bullying. Tons of potential wasted.. |

I've seen multiple people (myself included) call episode 24 the best of the series...because honestly, I think Shizu's story is even more compelling than Rimuru's |
| Could have ended with some more relaxing episodes instead of ending with a compressed arc, but had no orders to adapt the whole sleeve so that...? and continuing with the list of stupid decisions like: -Give berserk a studio that only made moe anime shorts -Fire Tatsuki from the anime he directed and it resulted in a success. -Change the studio from one punch man (an anime that was a success) to a mediocre one with lower animation and with less time for them to work and you know who is to blame for all that? That's right the damn animation committee who is always fucking the anime with their stupid and arbitrary decisions, people who surely have no interest in animation and industry, who think that they are all otaku shit who swallow anything, really This system is the one that ruins all the good animes or what could have been better. Tensura is a good manga / novel, it hurts that this does not do it justice. |

| @HisokaxMeruem rather it has the worst haters that only dedicate themselves to telling lies,the ability to become human, not affected at all to the plot, nor did he spend all his time transformed like that., it is not as if suddenly all women fall in love with it because of its appearance, nor do I start to fuck with all as they happen in the rest of the isekai where pedophilia and polygamy are allowed (considering that Rimuru does not have biological sex) of the things that do well we begin with the fact that the plot does not revolve around the MC but to develop the environment, which there is no harem, it is not all about overcoming a one-dimensional villain and the problem is solved automatically, if people bore slow, but consistent development is fine, but do not say false things. |
