| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This was quite a fun episode. Being able to live there in a station and work together to enjoy their time. Some of the Christmas-style outfits are cute. That birthday cake though....aww, how sweet. Happy Birthday to Yuzu! I like how this episode bought together her friends to celebrate it like the way it should. |

| The girls and crew hard are at work getting the station into tip top shape. This was a very well done bonding and 'world buildingish' ep I found the Friendship ponderings done well and the birthday bit to be quite touching. Another well done ep of Yorimoi. Great series so far; I wonder how they will conclude it. But sheesh hard to believe we are 10 eps into this series. Happy birthday to our friend yuzu - simple yet very touching ^^  |

| Fantastic episode again. We're finally at Syowa Station. :D Shirase and the penguin incident was gold. XDD I loved Hinata's impression of Yuzuki when Shirase was asking her if they should tell her directly she was their friend. xD To be honest, I understand where Yuzuki is coming from. It's hard to define what friendship really is, how it's formed and how long it'll last. It's one of the most vague terms out there and as Shirase states it's really well, no one's to blame if it fades away but that's exactly what gives so much to freedom to the word and how it represents people. The Santa and Reindeer performance though. xD The ending was really sweet. <3 I was smiling through the whole thing, as Yuzu celebrated her first birthday from her friends. I really liked what this episode tried to convey about friendship, most of the time it just happens. There's no better definition than that, Right? |

| And they have finally reached Antarctica after much struggle and hardship. A little cleanup will be needed before they can start their work though. Wow Shirase sure has gotten crazy for penguins though. That warning about the chicken though was hillarious. In such an isolated environment events and good food will go a long way to keeping morale up. The little friend talk that Hina gave Yuzuki though was pretty interesting. But it was nice seeing Mari, Shirase and Hina get together and celebrate Yuzuki's birthday though after realising they missed it. In the end friendship is about feelings to one another after all. A pretty fun episode actually. |

| Episode focusing Christmas and life on the station, and also Yuzuki and her experiencing of friendship and her birthday. The mystery of that email form Yuzuki's mother is also revealed, it was a main role in drama lol. The after credits ending schedule for next days activities ... damn. Also that dude, on bulldozer ... he knew! |

Seriously need to make one of these,so that my flatmate won't touch stuff Christmast outfits were funny too and I liked the friendship theme of this episode. Friendship may be difficult to explain if you try it so hard,but a simple thanks can be enough to convey the message. Yuzus surprise birthday party was yet another powerful moment in this series. |

| AAAA they finally made it to Syowa Station. Episode was very very cute and amazing. Their christmas celebration including the christmas outfits were cute per usual. Episode focused on friendship, strengthening their bonds as well as just cleaning up the station now that they've made it. Yuzu's birthday party was so cute and the internal conflict of their friendship being solved brought them so much closer. Can't wait for the next episode now that we're finally seeing them in Antarctica. 3 more episodes left.... the end is near. Gonna be sad honestly. |
| Yuzuki got the drama part and is teh type that needs a logical explanation for friendship. The girls work it out though and Christmas/happy birthday too :) Season 2 might be possible, unless they force some gigantic drama in the last 2 ep. |

| Yet another phenomenal episode. Yuzuki was always that odd one out for me among the girls and I'm glad they really fleshed out her character this episode. Lots of feels. I am 99.99999% sure this is gonna be the AOTY and one of my favorite anime of all time! Depressed that there are gonna be only 3 episodes left of this underrated and underviewed gem. |

Sooo what is this difference between "ありがとうね" and a regular "ありがとう" ? Also this episode could've been done better if not for that awkward Kimari cry in the middle. What brought on to that? Being relatable with her and Megu-chan's situation? |

| The group had a lot of fun again this week. They got to experience some outside warmth even in Antarctica. Kimari jumped when she shit with the static electricity. The Christmas performance was pretty funny. The funniest Christmas moment was Kimari hanging onto the ceiling while giving Yuzuki her Christmas greeting. Yuzuki really wanted to know what makes them friends and for the to stay friends. I can kind of relate because I had my best friends leave my elementary school, when we spent so much time together each day, and than I didn't see them nearly as much anymore. I didn't have many friends than, so it was troubling for the first two days of the new school year, until someone called me over to join them. I'm getting a bit too personal, but Yuzuki has had a similar experience. She hasn't had any friends due to her acting and such, and people would only want to be seen with her because she is famous. She had it worse than I did. I can understand why she wanted so desperately to try and preserve their friendship and why she got so emotional when they celebrated her birthday for her first time; I'd probably get really emotional too if it was my first time having my birthday celebrated. Mari and Hinata still have friends and family worried about them. |

| It's quite sad that Yuzuki thought that you had to draw up a contract to be friends. I guess that's all she knew since a very young age, and that's what made Mari cry (which made me well-up!) |
| finally a Yuzuki centered episode. It was nice to see that she's not that snob celebrity, instead she doesn't know how to function in real society. Thus she went from unlikable character to one of the best of this season. Yet I will still rank her last in this anime since all other girls are so outstanding. |

| They finally made it to the camp and even of Christmas which was interesting. The episode also proved that Yuzu still has a lot to learn about friendship or being with others which was funny. |
| It's interesting that this episode on friendship could be a whole series into itself.(like they sold it so well here that I can easily picture this show being just about exploring that) We got little tidbits throughout the show about their growing bond but now we get to "define" it while giving Yuzuki character development? sold. bravo. bellissimo. Could it have been done better? Ya, probably? dispersing this themes "plotline" through a couple more episode in a slightly larger way then they already did, might've made the impact that much more greater. (Although you could argue that would've muddied up what we were going for with the rest of the show) Also thank god for a callback to Megu-chan! I'm hoping for a little (just a little) resolution there. 3 more episode boys, Lets enjoy the rest of the ride shall we? |

| Wow, and I thought the Singapore episode would be unsurpassable. This may be at least equally good. I liked that development of Yuzu's most vulnerable aspect, given that during the journey she seemed to be the most mature among the girls despite being the youngest. I saw the birthday stuff coming, yet it was fun and moving and felt very natural. The whole friendship plot ended up touching the other girls, too: Seems that even Hinata got a message from her clubmates! |

| Shirase went into rabbid-fan mode when she saw that cute little penguin approaching them. XD So they've made it to Antarctica, but the hard work has only really got started. There's a lot of clearing up to do to get the base running at 100% after 3 years of not being used, so everyone gets stuck in with their roles. It makes the pick-me-ups even more important as it keeps the morale of the hard workers as strong as possible. Yuzuki's development was pretty well done too. Because of her successful acting career all her life, she never really had a chance to understand what friendship really meant, hence why she made that contract paper, thinking that was the right thing to do. I do agree with them saying that summing up friendship with a word is a bit difficult. Still, the other girls knew that they missed the chance to celebrate Yuzuki's birthday before, so they amends by making a special cake for her. The whole scene was really touching, I must say. =) Only three episodes left now. I still think that feels train is going to arrive at full speed soon... |

Also as Shirase points out over lunch, how would you feel if someone you liked couldn't trust you enough to be friends without having signed a piece of paper beforehand? It took a rewatch after your question to spot all of it (I noticed the Yuzuki quote from Mari, but just thought it was friendly banter). Man that episode was much deeper than I thought after my first watch! |

That ship and helicopter are just so nice too look at imo. Mari's sleeptalking was priceless, she's so goofy! They saw a penguin on Antartica. The way Shirase got so excited to see that penguin kinda reminded me of Jibril from NGNL. Good development on Yuzuki this episode, being a young actress, with always a busy shedules, she didn't know the true meaning of friendship. I am glad that when Yuzu got surprised by the other three with the birthday cake, she has acknowledged them as friends. Very emotional moment.  Couldn't describe it better myself, never a dull moment with these girls! |

Good Christmas ep, loved Shirase and Hinata Christmas getup, I hope they become best friends forever. But wasn't this trip part, about Shirase finding her mother? Because it seems like it's way forgotten by the girls. |

She got excited just by seeing them at the museum in episode 3, she cried when seeing the documentary on the plane in episode 6... So seeing them in flesh must have been one of the happiest moments in her life XD (Would probably be for me as well XD) I just hope she doesn't see them bullying the baby seals or she will be heartbroken. |

| Lol that friendship contract, Yuzu's so adorable They handle the friendship melodrama well enough to make me teary a little but I thought it wasn't showed or failed to show how Yuzu finally accepted it like yeah she was touched by the cake and how they celebrated her birthday, her first birthday with friends but at the explanation of the friendship, it wasn't completely over yet, this drama gonna go back when they're back in Japan and has to go separate ways but yeah there's Line for that, still I don't think Yuzu finally truly understand it nor it waa implied well at the end of the episode, so yeah this ain't over For me personally, like Shirase explained in Yuzu's apartment that they're just colleagues with similar goals and they just happens to know each other and they're not friends back in japan. Fast forward, now they realised they're already close to each others. That's friendship, it just happens PS they won't be eating that cake now |

| Nice episode! Everyone celebrated xmas and lots of food even if they're on Antarctica! but this has a bit of emo drama about friendship which is a bit lame. Penguins are cute! 4/5. |
