| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Tatara entering the Mikasa Cup arena must be a very interesting experience. Trouble came as they can't even find Hyoudou. Tatara had to replace him so I think it's a neat opportunity for him to shine. It shouldn't be surprising that others got nervous since Tatara isn't as experienced as Hyoudou despite showing potential. Pretty smooth pacing so far. I think they are adapting the character expressions pretty well to in particular Tatara when he got onto the dance floor. Shizuku's role to lead him with the dance combined with Tatara following steps somehow made it work lol. Pretty entertaining episode. |

| Great episode. Did Sengoku just strip Shizuku like it was nothing? Not like I'm complaining. XD Hyoudou was pushed down the stairs by that other champion dude, I thought that he was a decent guy considering how Sengoku was trying to get on his nerves earlier but I didn't expect him to be a prick who'd injure his competitor before the match. The bathroom scene with those dudes shit-talking Hyoudou while he was trying to treat his injury was really sad. :( Tatara ended up replacing Hyoudou and damn it was really amazing to watch him dance and invent his own choreography, he might not have been great or anything but just watching him dance put a smile on my face. :) Can't wait for next week. |

| Tatara was clearly improvising. It was great and fun to watch and he danced quite well for a beginner. I hope the music stopped before he tripped. I was surprised when Sengoku strip Shizuku. What was he thinking? Seems like most people are jealous of Hyoudou and one of them went as far as to injure him before the match. |

| Oops... Hyoudou is mad at Tatara for smiling during the competition o_o" Can't blame him for being happy, can he? Tatara danced with Shizuku slowly, but he's very skilled for a beginner X3 What exactly happened back at the stairs? Did he fall by himself or he was shoved by that gorilla guy so he can selfishly win? I want answers to this mystery! Can't wait to find that out >_> |

| There are pluses and cons. + Tension + As contrary to the unrealistic training (2nd episode), the competition scenery and setting is pretty on point, I like it + Storyline - Even longer necks than before - The animation of the dance is super sloppy, no elegance, just cut out piruets/spins and cheap shiny poses. Don't like the moving sounds. - No way Tatara gets used to some dancing after few lessons, the competitive scene is so much different from basic training; the fall in the end doesn't cover it up/apologize. - Sexualizing Shizuku, so uncalled in this environment. But in overall it's pretty interesting, not linear. |

| Tatara did really good when he was dancing with Shizuku in front so many people. He was smiling the whole time. In the end, he tripped when the music stopped. Hyoudou couldn't dance because he was pushed down the stairs by the other champion guy. What a douche bag. That ending though. Hyoudou isn't happy. |

| Sengoku and Takamura from ippo are so alike, I love it! He just stripped Shizuku like it was nothing. The smile Shizuku gave Tatara at the end was so beautiful for some reason! |

| I liked this episode. I can't believe Hyoudou got pushed down the stairs. That was such bad etiquette for that big headed athlete plus the fact that he didn't even seem like he showed any remorse after he stepped onto the dance floor wth. Everybody keeps talking about the long necks. I feel like if it was a chosen art style from the original manga then just drop it because it is what it is, you like it or you don't. It's kinda getting annoying that it's still a criticizing topic 3 episodes in. |

| Fuck that loser who pushed Hyodo down the stairs, can't even win fairly. No wonder Sengoku calls you 2nd place. Tatara filled in for Hyodo at the last second and, as expected, didn't do very well. He doesn't have much experience doing this, so the nerves getting to him was an inevitability. Still, it was nice to see him dance with Shizuku a bit, but something about that clearly made Hyodo upset. Hyodo seems to be back on the dance floor next episode so I wonder how his leg will hold up. Also, couldn't help but chuckle at Tatara's "long neck" comment. Everyone in the show is like that, bro, everyone in the show is like that. |

| eh btw.i don't think Hyodo got pushed down the stairs....he fell down the stairs when he met Fujita for the the first time too,do you remember?And wasn't Sengoku like "again?". I think they just made it look ambiguous to make us think gorilla pushed him...but well,we will see and i will laugh at myself if i am wrong,hah. but gorilla was still trashy for being like...yas,my biggest opponent got injured,i'm getting the first place! and i can't stop thinking about how Shizuku is 15 years old but they sexualize her like nbd,ew |
| Great episode. Tatara getting the hang of dancing. So sweet seeing everyone cheer him on at the start. LOL 2nd place Gorilla. Latin truly is sexy. Love how Tatara is motivated from all the dancing. Hate how those guys are talking bad about Kiyoharu. They don't know his situation. Tatara participating in the Mikasa Cup must be nerve racking, but exciting. He is looking slick. He managed to do pretty well dancing with Shizuku. Good thing the music stopped as soon as they fell. Kiyoharu is back. |

| Eh this was the first episode that was a letdown when it comes to animation. There were so many still frames during the dance scenes. If I wanted to see stills, I'd just stick with the manga. |

| Ahahaha! This was so fun to watch! Tatara being all nervous getting dragged right on to the dance floor and seeing Shizuku having to follow his lead. Wearing a dress and make up makes Shizuku look like an entirely different character. But Sengoku is there to remind us that she's still Shizuku lol. "Hey you! The guy in 2nd place!" What a call out XD. Sengoku still showing us that he's the real man of the show, especially with the type of hairspray he uses: Well Hyodo isn't pleased. This might affect him later. Speaking of later, we got some Tango next! |

| Looks like people are starting to complain about the over-sexualization of Shizuku. Actually, according to the scanlators of the manga there is quite the sexual innuendo in this series, especially in later chapters. I remember the scanlators made this clear at the end of chapter 29: So actually it might not be as out of place as it seems to be. And I'm saying this as somebody who totally despises sexual hints and such things in anime. |

You mean when it gets published? The manga is being published in the west already. I've bought 1-5. Anyway, I've read 1-5, and I'm still pretty excited to watch it. Though I'm more excited to watch how the animations are done. So far, disappointed in all the still images. |
