DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Mari's appearance this episode is awesome, loved the way she just popped out of that helicopter. She's got a slight perverted personality as well lol Yohane's disguise is also so obvious. The girls' idol outfits looks great, very colorful and nothing too flashy. Their brief performance was okay but I do expect some improvements later on. |

| It's become love live tradition to have godly third episodes and sunshine was no exception. Mari is based as I was expecting, the whole episode was just really entertaining. Chika trying to sing while crying was painful to watch though. This show is living up to my expectations quite well so far. elvenwalker said: Shima-neechan POTG! Who said this is μ's carboncopy? | Mari's brain has to be made of pure air. I did like the performance though although it almost didn't finish with the power going out midway, luckily there were generators around and even better more people showed up right when the power was restored. |

| Chika's sister is cool. Yoshiko went full Nico with that shitty disguise. Nice episode, very charming but it did gave me deja vu at times. |
| Another great episode, Mari turns out to be the perv among them xD but I really like how they were given an aim to meet and the way it played out was amazing. Almost cried when Chika was gonna break down, and then Chika's sister came to the rescue. The live looks so lovely, I think they've done a pretty good job on it! ^^ |
| well played, Love Love Sunshine, well played. although it shares a big similarity with what happened to Love Live S1, what this episode showed is the difference of μ's with Aqours and how it reflects reality. μ's started out small and not much of a success but in the end, they made school idol a popular thing. the episode showed that people in their world are more accepting of school idols which led to a full house on Aqours' first live. this reflects the fact that real life Aqours instantly gained attention because μ's already laid the groundwork for them. meanwhile, Dia reflects the hardcore fans who can't let go yet of μ's and are having a difficult time accepting the new group. |
| Mari revealing she literally became the director just because of the ridiculous amount of money that her family funnels into the school was a hilarious twist. On top of that, Chika basically seducing that girl into coming almost killed me. I also love how the influence of µ's can be felt in this show. Now that I think about it, school idols would be stupidly popular in their world so why wouldn't people come? I love how the show totally fakes you out like that. I think the last episode captivated me a bit more, but I loved this one too. Obviously this show doesn't want to screw around with long bouts of melodrama and I respect that. After all I don't want another Cinderella Girls. Another great episode as always. |

| Fantastic episode, Lovely debut by Aqours. Mari just randomly showing up in front of them and claiming to be the director was kinda funny. Glad to see Riko, Chika and You showing the zeal to go through with becoming an idol group. I'm betting either Yohane or Dia wrote the name on the sand. The performance was great, It was really sad when the power went out. The way they sang with those shaking voices made me really emotional. Thank God for them power generators. Couldn't stop grinning when the power came back and they restarted the performance in front of the crowd. Though I wish they started the song from the beginning. Very charming declaration by Chika at the end, "We want to shine" :) As always great to see how much Muse has influenced this show. If I have to compare, Muse's debut was definitely better and was far more emotional and had a more underdog motivational kinda vibe to it. Aquors seems to have a more lively passionate kinda charm. |

| Mari's pretty annoying, but at least she seems to know what she's doing, I guess. Still don't like Chika. Dia's still by far the best girl. Everyone else I'm pretty meh on. Hanamaru would be better if she didn't speak in such an annoying way and Ruby sounds like she's 3 so I don't care about her much either. Kanan seems promising, at least? |

| i know people are criticizing and comparing the similarity and complain, but derp, i still like this i'm a bit like many others, thinking it's may not be as great as the original, but i do feel that it has qualities of its own, not copy pasta but oh welp nvm, i watch this for pure enjoyment...gonna leave the rest for the critics... |

It couldn't have been Dia either since this seems like the first time they've seen each other in 2 years. So the only one left is Kanan. She's obviously got some connection to her. Whether it's a relationship of animosity or estrangement, I'm dying to know what happened with the 3rd years. |

While I can see were your coming from ultimately this is the kinda show you watch for the characters and I feel like the characters are different enough that I can excuse the incredibly similar story. A lot of the differences in the story are also in the details to be honest. Ellie was never an idols fan like Dia is. The differences between Muse's first live concert and Aquors are there as well. Not saying the differences are jarring but they are there for sure. |

| Ultimately though this is the kinda show were you kinda know how it's going to end so really viewers are left watching the show for the characters. Which I really like. |

| Just me or was that a bit too easy? I mean... you normally wouldn't get a crowd that big the first time around. | The songs are OK but it's getting really hard not to compare both. I didn't want to do it, but watching Sunshine it's IMPOSSIBLE not to get LL's vibes. Even some character traits have been carbon copied unto some of Sunshine's characters: Mari's boob grabbing/Nozomi's boob grabbing, the mask and sunglasses thing, the Student Council President being against the club, the first performance, etc. I'm gonna keep on watching though, just for fun, but I do wish they'd reworked the formula. |

| I didn't expect Mari to be the school director in this story. lol XD I almost teared up when the electricity blew out during Aquors' performance, but it worked out in the end! Dia is also warming up to Chika, You, and Riko. |

| i have to agree with some people here that sunshine seems really alike to the first LL series, i enjoy it so far but i still wish they had been more creative with the whole setting. at least more people came to see aquors' performance :> |

| Yeah I don't know about you guys, but this feels waaaaaaaaay too similar to the first Love Live for my taste. I mean the episode was alright for what it was, but unlike for the first Love Live, I can't really go on. There's really nothing that hooks me in and the cgi for the songs doesn't really help either. |

| Dia symbolizes the hardcore μ's fans who refuse to accept Aqours because they are riding on it's success (which they are). The concert (and sunshine itself) was a success because of μ's and they know that, but they can' stop just because of that :'( 10/10 Hope they also mention in another ep that this is what μ's wanted and the fans who don't accept it aren't real fans. | Lol, I liked Mari's accent, even though I'm not sure whether that was intentional or not. The performance was decent, putting the power outage aside, and the episode was enjoyable. Not as good as the previous episode, though. |

| Nice to see viewers getting the symbolism, even some stuff i didn't notice. A great successor, and no fooling around with cloning for profit or anything, it's true to it's intent. Ironically, by doing so, people love it more. |

| Mari is the new contestant against Yohane for the spot of the Top Best Gril of Rabu Raibu Sunshine. Her Engrish is music to my ears. Such a great character. Maki still better tho Plot wise while I do appreciate that they are trying to keep it fresh, this is really riding off Muse's success and sadly so far Aquurs feel like poor man's μ's. I really wish they would not have shafted μ's away. They could just have had Yohane and Mari join the cast there. Shafting μ's was the worst decision for the franchise(not to mention that it reiterates the gross "grills can only be idols if they are innocent pure kids" nonsense), but at least I can enjoy some characters still, even if I am not invested in the rip off band itself. And yeah, let's be frank, Aquors are μ's rip off. Even show knows that. I would like if the whole Aquors thing would end up a failure, as a way to differentiate from μ's. Because so far the mc seems only interested in replicating μ's less than creating an actual new band. |

| Anyone else get mad when you heard that Chika gave the wrong time for the concert? WTF Chika! Otherwise the episode overall was good. I think the writing for this is a tad on the lazy side and a little too similar to L.L. season 1, but the animation is nice, the setting is pretty cool (I like the coastal town, school, shrines), and the songs are decent. I suppose next episode they'll recruit the first years. It's looking like Ruby is already in love with the idea, but we'll have to see how she overcomes her shyness, Yohane looks tempted to join, and of course Hanamaru will be recruited somehow. |
| I know there is so much similar to original series of Love Live but I don't care about it, if it's good that's enough for me. Well U's had so much influences in School Idol so it's make it all popular worldwide, so it wasn't really surprisingly that they could filled up. +1 for Shima Nee. Chika is nice and she keep pushing forward, but that was kind of painful to watch her crying singing. I still curious for mysterious person that came up with they school idol name, it must be a person that know them well. Maybe Kanan. Seem like next episode Hanamaru and Ruby will join. |

| My thoughts on the episode as I was watching it: -Huh, I wonder if there is an actual reason that You stopped high diving -Finally they introduce Mari -Wait she's the director of the school? -Huh, so Mari does actually know Dia -Damn Mari's harsh, making Chika and co. do something impossible -That flyer is adorable -Was expecting You to say no when asked about the concert for some reason -Interestingly enough, μ's wasn't mentioned until 15 minutes into the episode -Something tells me no one showed up, and it was probably because they didn't show any panning shots of the audience and it's raining -Huh, they actually have an audience, and totally-not-Yoshiko was standing in the middle -Mari seems to have noticed Kanan standing there -Oh wow the power going out was actually pretty unexpected. I don't think any of the μ's performances ever had any technical difficulties, although (original LL spoilers) -I thought it was Hanamaru and Ruby who left to grab the backup generators but apparently it was Dia -Where did all those people come from actually -Dia laying down the truth and acting as a mouthpiece for all the diehard μ's fans. -That's an interesting choice of words with which to conclude their speech on the stage, after Dia tells them off. The parallels to the 3rd episode of the μ's story are pretty apparent but the prior successes of μ's as well as a different setting produced a change in the turnout of the first concert. |

| Tbh at first I was kind of skeptical of this because of how similar it was to the original. Although the characters have a lot of parallels to muse, it's kind of unavoidable with 9 characters. The drama is a bit forced, seeing as we know that eventually they'll become a group of 9 like muse and they'll perform at love live and win like muse . I'm really hoping muse have some cameos in this series, especially when love live happens >o< But either way, worth watching. I like their music quite a bit - must be at like 2-300 plays of Strawberry Trapper already. Watanabe You best girl ~ That line from ep 1, where she told Chika that she's always wanted to have something to do with her that they were both hyped about, is the kind of friendship you don't really see in many places. Usually people are so self absorbed, so characters with personalities like You's are really wonderful ~~ |

| Nice episode. Lol Mari makes her introduction. WTH she is the director & that accent of hers. The boob touching. The practicing has begun. Lol Chika's way of getting people to come to their concert. You is really popular with people. Finally got the name Aqours. Wonderful first performance even though the storm cut the power off, but nice that everyone from around town made it in time to cheer them on. |
