| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Lmao, I think Dio broke the OP song for a bit. Quite clever what David Production did there~ Quite a battle between Dio and Jotaro. I just love how Dio laughs when he thinks he has the advantage. The fight was pretty intense and I think it captured the thrills of what I had expected. Dio glowing entire episode like a Super Saiyan :o  Glad to see Polnareff get in a bit of action in the second half too. Looks like Dio isn't entirely invincible. Loved the OST used when he was bleeding. |

They're doing as well as they can with it, but I can't help but be a bit disappointed that they're going so fast through the best part of the manga. It's not like a deal breaker or anything but there's a lot of great nuances in DIO's World that are just blasted past in the ep. |
| I LOVED how they changed the ending of the opening sequence lol I would have never guessed that Jotaro would have been able to move over Dio stops time but it does make sense since they have the same type of Stand so I have no problems with it The fight was awesome, both Jotaro and Dio showing why they're so powerful and awesome and adding Poulnareff to the mix makes things even better Next episode looks like it'll be the conclusion of the fight and by the looks of things, best JoJo Joseph might still be alive :DDDD Can't wait to see Round 3 and Dio's possible new strength (I hope that Joseph will be the one to kill him off) |

| I kind of get now why people were saying this fight had asspulls galore. Still an entertaining as fuck episode though. Now we have two super saiyans, one with black hair though. DIO being cautious?! Bakana! That OP sequence was so fucking clever. And, Jotaro was really smart this episode... Books, magazines, playing dead, HEART STOPPING? But he will never conquer the indomitable Joseph Joestar! Looks like DIO's getting another power-up, although I'm not sure if I like his design change though. |

| The OP changes are amazing (skip to 1:08): The episode, however, was full of QUALITY (DIO's potato faces) and the pacing felt rushed, worse than last week episode (They did 5.5 chapters this episode after all). Then again, I suppose this is better than making original content like in the OVA. The content itself is great though, even if I still find the manga fight to be more polished in terms of quality. What I mean by that is that the stand is tied to Joestar blood and would've been Jonathan's if he had a stand. Dio by extension is stealing it seeing as how his head is attached to Jonathan's body. In that, Jotaro also derives his Star Platinum from his Joestar bloodline and inherit's "Jonathan's stand" or something related to it. It just took it getting to this point realizing that Star Platinum is essentially the relative/son/brother stand to Dio/Jonathan's The World which is why Star Platinum can/should be able to do most if not everything The World can and at this point can counteract it to a degree. Really it's about the Joestar bloodline imo. As far as Dio and Jotaro flying in the streets imo it doesn't make sense with Dio too much so if there's not a real explanation for him there's not gonna be one for Jotaro outside of the fact their framing his Star Platinum to be the counterpart to The World so Jotaro should have very similar powers (albeit probably untapped/unrefined) to Dio. I also loved Jotaro's strategy/planning in this ep too. Was very Joseph Joestar-esque which got me nostalgic and happy. |

This is from JoJo wiki: "Along with activating his own Stand The World, it was stated that DIO's semi-precognitive abilities that seemed to have resulted from a Hermit Purple-like Stand were due to a Stand power that awoke in the body of Joseph's grandfather Jonathan Joestar. Similar to Hermit Purple, it can produce a psychic photograph by striking a camera. (Although the camera is notably not destroyed, unlike Joseph's usage, implying it to be a more efficient version of Joseph's Hermit Purple) DIO used this technique to track the Joestars and their friends' current location to send Stand Users after them. This Stand is also capable of showing an image present in someone's heart through a crystal ball. DIO used it to show Polnareff one image of Centerfold, as that image represented the pain Polnareff felt in his heart. The fact that this version of Hermit Purple manifested within Jonathan's Body could possibly explain why Joseph has Hermit Purple as well." This will answer later confusions that some may have. |

By his own admission he has a terrible memory and writes the story nearly chapter by chapter, forgetting characters and power, and retckoning stuffs. There is no "the world has every joestar line ability", there is only the jonathan stand (hermit 2.0) and an asspull for star platinum, plot device rather frequent in those years. Nothing wrong with this for me, if you ask. Or you can act embrace the "death of the author" philosophy and believe in that theory and not listen Araki. I'm about 90% certain that Araki confirmed in an interview that Dio's Stand is The World while Jonathan's is Hermit Purple #2, the one Dio is using in the above pictures. It also makes sense considering that (spoilers for a future part) |
