| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The Uncrowned Kings are pretty impressive imo. This episode clearly shows some of their true skills and I think Seirin is in a bit of trouble. HOWEVER, I think Kuroko also surprised them. About time they are regaining some ground. I still find the animal metaphors/comparisons to be amusing though. Match felt similar pacing as some of the previous episodes. |

| Kagami: Tiger Aomine: Panther Kotaro: Jaguar and Koganei gets a cat! Hahaha. Kuroko is neutralizing Mayuzumi, Kagami is doing Akashi... Izuki stopped Kotaro... and its about time Hyuuga gets to stop Mibuchi. Hopefully we get to see Kiyoshi too since I feel he is holding back because of the injury. |

| It's good how they make different characters get spotlight for the last match. I'm hoping for a nice Hyuga-fight next week. And I hope we see some new Kuroko move, but maybe they won't do it. :/ |

| Great episode! Loved Izuki's "1on1" against Hayama. They did that properly. But they could have done Koganei's backstory better. A lot better. Just not enough time. It's unfortunate. I'm just a tad upset that they anime didn't do one of my favourite characters justice. The episode should've ended with Hyuga saying "Coach, put me back in there." and walkin' off like a bauss. Still a solid episode overall though. (Animation could have been better, but I guess they're saving it for something special?) Preview for next episode looks AWESOME!!! | I am very impressed and happy. All Serin seem to hate how Rakuzan are treating their phantom player, eagle eye showed impressive planning and reacting to that speed dribble player. Also, Koga proving that all Serin members are GOOD! Not achieving what he really wanted but putting the platform for Huyoga's impressive come back - I hope - LOVED this episode so much. |

| I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one who laughed out loud when Kogane's kitty meowed. He did well for 'an average player' by scoring for the team and allowing time for Hyuuga to study Reo-nee for a comeback. Well done! I'm glad Hayama was level-headed enough to pull out before Akashi cracked the whip. I bet all these mistakes are being added into The Emperor's bad books for future punishment. Reo-nee knows best when he said Hayama got off easy. His 4 and 5 fingered dribbles were amazing though! I feel bad for Mayuzumi here when he, himself knew that he should not have been passed to. It's like he's aware that his sole purpose of being on the field is to be a marker that says "Danger! Do not pass!" not for the sake of the team, but because Akashi put him there. Had it been anyone else with less sportsmanship, I'm pretty sure they would have stormed off due to lack of respect shown to him as a person. I liked the animation done to signify Kagami diving deeper into The Zone. Can't wait till he finally unlocks it, because we all know that that act in and of itself, opens up another can of worms.... in the form of Akashi's retaliation! |

| Ok episode. More one on ones Hayama was pretty cool. Respect to him for keeping a cool head! Curious how they are going to try to justify the void shot. Overall this match feels like a bunch of guys showing off their superpowers. |

The match has been exciting so far and the match came on the back of a great arc. It will definitely improve as the following episodes will cover some of the most epic moments in the entire series. |

| Another intense and exhilarating episode! Izuki vs Hayama was a great match-up. Izuki being calm and collected makes him a very unique character along with his Eagle Eye's ability that allows him to have good surroundings. Good thing he lured Hayama into the 'enemy zone' and Kagami was able to block it. The Mibuchi vs Koganei match-up was very unexpected but I was definitely rooting for Koganei. Mibuchi's 'wild' animal representations were hilarious. Compared to everyone else, Koganei is basically like a cat. xD It's a shame Koganei wasn't able to stop Mibuchi despite escaping the Void's paralysis. However, Hyuga's getting really pumped now! Can't wait for next week. Hype / 5 |

| Why exactly was Hyuga even benched in the first place? I guess basketball must have some sort of system where if you get so many warnings (or whatever it was they called those here) then you get banned from future games for a period like some other sports do but if it was gonna be this central to the game then I'm surprised they never actually explained it/said what exactly would happen. Seems like a big detail to just miss out. |

Against Touou in the zone, wasn't Kagami one-on-one with Aomine the entire time? Are you referring to the Yosen match instead? Anyway Kagami isnt as dominant while in the zone this time because he's conserving stamina, conserving how he uses the zone. He's been passively marking Akashi all this while, only going for a block if Akashi takes a shot. He does block other shooters in his defensive zone, but only as part of preconceived plans (first Kuroko's plan to trap Mayuzumi, then Izuki's plan to trap Hayama). In offense, he's not taking on the entire defense like he did against Yosen (albeit not exactly by choice, Akashi is marking him after all). You see him mostly finishing off team plays and taking efficient shots in mid-range. Using Aomine's analogy, Kagami is unplugging his bathtub, but using the rubber duck to clog the drain to prevent the water from draining too quickly. |

| This is the most average episode of the final match so far. However... this part of next episode preview with Izuki falling really intrigues me... seriously... O_O  This must have something to do with Akashi. Can any manga readers spoil me? Oh no no, I can predict it already. :D |

The most likely reason imo that the animation is nowhere near the level it should be is because Production I.G. has a relatively small budget on Knb, and to conserve it, they must rush the animation for some scenes. This has been the case for all 3 Seasons so far. The stills are done beautifully (90% of the time), but the movements aren't always great. In Season 1, it was stated that when a player accumulates 5 fouls, they are automatically removed from the game and cannot return. This happened with Aomine in Kaijo vs. Seirin. |

| Im glad we got to see more of Izuki, he is one of my fav characters. Nice doing against Hayama, I liked their match up a lot. Oh, Akashi is scary :D, at one point I wished Hayama would not calm down, so I can see what would Akashi do. But oh well. Still hope we will get more focus on him. I love how Koganei steals Kyoshi,s phrases. xD |

| I feel sorry for Mayuzumi but I suppose what can you do when you're dealing with Akashi? But this episode was a snore-fest, a few good scenes with the Uncrowned Kings but other than that.... even after 3 seasons I will never have a liking for Kagami, he's just so unnecessary loud |

| Why are you guys acting as if using decoys is so bad? All the teams use it, but when Rakuzan uses it that's bad? No wait, when Mayuzumi, a guy barely shown for 2 episodes, is used as a decoy, that's suddenly bad and you pity him? He's the one that fucked up, he should be thankful he's even being used as a decoy at all. On a side note, does none of Seirin's or Rakuzan's students come to support them? I mean, we are talking the final match of a national tournament. I don't think I've ever seen any in any of Seirin's games. |
