I like it this way though since it means the show takes itself seriously. Also, Ten takes charge again as usual. The fight scenes were well done imo. |

| The OP is great the main Story about Orochi moves Forward. the fight Scenes were nice as well just as I expected. all in all another good epsiode can't wait for Episode 3 |

| Aniamtion in opening theme is so cool! *.* Nakamura-san *.* I love his voice so much <3 Interesting episode! I really like that combination of drama, action and comedy! Characters are cool, funny and cute! <3 Really can't wait to see next! |
| Was Chutaro seriously running after Sora with a piece of sh!t on a stick? XD Tenka was badass with how he instantly knocked out those two guards with his hand-held fan! He even owned Takeda with a single punch after calling him a masochist. XD Shirasu's fighting style was pretty awesome too! Fuma clan was probably superior to Koga and Iga clans. Hard to believe he used to be a murderer. Kagami didn't stand much of a chance once Tenka arrived. But I did like his chain sword though. Sousei also seems to be another badass on Tenka's level. Too bad, they could've gotten along just fine if not for their difference in opinion regarding Orochi's vessel. Awesome episode. I feel bad for Sora as he's feeling left behind.. Hopefully, he won't do anything reckless or turn against his brother. |

| OP: "Biran no Kaze (毘藍の風) by Ryuuji Aoki (青木隆治). Monomane talent and singer song-writer?! lol~ don't match at all (his professionals, that is). http://www.dontenniwarau.com/music/index.html It seems like there's a trauma for KajiKaji's character and dark past for Nakamura-san's character. Another team, police officers including Toriumi-san's character, introduced. Not sure if they are enemy to the brothers. Wow, Sakurai-san's character is STRONG! But the eldest brother is the strongest for he stopped the murderer immediately. Orichi's thing (not sure utsuwa is translated as equipment or just container) is related. |

Wow, Shirasu, Tenka, and Abeno Sousei made that bad guy look really weak with those few blows. Searching for the vessel of the Orochi... one side wants to do the complete opposite of what the other side wants to do. Wonder what's going to happen next. |

| Nice, they've revealed the plot! With Botan confronting Tenka, now we know what everyone's after, Tenka for protecting Orochi's vessel, while the Yamainu wants to destroy it. They're ideas are different, and it's no wonder why Sousei would never want to work with Tenka again. Anyways, love seeing how strong Tenka, Shirasu, and Sousei are. Lol at Chuutarou trying to make up with Soramaru using poop, he never doubts what Tenka tells him XD The OP was great, Tenka and Soramaru look especially cool. Botan too! I like that brief part where we see Botan jumping towards someone. Was wondering if he would make it to the OP, but that's cool too. The awesome end card of Yamainu is drawn by Karakara herself! |
| So we have a better idea of what this is all about after this episode. I liked much of the action, but just at the end it seemed like they left a couple of things out, like why Tenka was talking to the teacher (and the context of when and where he did so). Still, these were minor blemishes on a pretty good show. |

| Meh, this is just plain bad, dropped. The plot, dialogue and everything were just unbearable. And the animation in fighting scenes are done horribly, no where near FSN, shingeki no bahamut, garo or even Inou battle which is made by Trigger. Not sure what's wrong with Doga Kobo this time, I quite enjoyed Gekkan Shoujo last season, but this is ... everything is just bad. 4/10, dropped. |
| Another enjoyable episode - main plot is swiftly gaining focus! Mix of comedic and dramatic moments, not to mention, I was surprised at how nicely done the action scenes were. |

| Good fight scenes, got to see a lot more than last episode. I knew Shirasu would be more than he let on. Curious about Tenka's past with the Yamainu. [edit] Now that I've read some of the manga now though, I wonder why the anime didn't show any hints of Shirasu's ninja roots until that doctor's visit? Originally, he's shown after the fight in the previous episode taking care of that criminal, and before drinking with Tenka he just came back from an "errand" in his ninja gear. Hmm. |

| I found the first episode extremely average, but after this one, I HAVE to raise my rating of it. This episode was fantastic! It delivered the perfect amount of comedy, drama, and action to make watching it worthwhile. Plus, the plot has gotten very interesting, and the characters introduced seem very complex! I'm especially pleased we got to see more of Shirasu's past- he was interesting from the get-go. Also, the OP song as really nice! But I find it a pity that chasing people with poop doesn't work. |

| The Orochi stuff is interesting, this show DESPERATELY needs something to differentiate itself from Kenshin and Peacemaker Kurogane. I mean, I started watching this in the first place because "11th Year of Meiji," so I expected elements like the sword ban and government unrest, but so far I'm only seeing bits of older and better anime blended together instead of these things being taken in a new direction. Oldest brother is like Kaoru and Kenshin in one Middle Brother is Tetsu from peacemaker(childhood trauma + desire to be strong) youngest is annoying (the two little girls that were mostly in the filler) Ninja dude is Kenshin (shady past, no home) Choshu guy is Jin-E Yamainu squad is collectively Saito Hajime I might be ok with it if they didn't also feel like cardboard. At least the action and art is cool. I do like the character designs. |

| First episode made me want to drop this series. Not even entirely sure why, everything just didn't appeal to me / seemed bland. This one is slightly better. Will continue watching for the moment, but definitely not something high on my radar. |

| Ah, so much eye candy in that ep. I love it! And we find out more about Big Bro Tenka. He was part of that group. Ah, no wonder he is so badass. I really wanna find out what happened between Abe no Sousei and himself though. On to ep3! ^_^ Man, the colors in this anime makes me weep. T_T soo good! |

| Funny how the only woman (so far at least?) in that squad is the one to wear the top open. I wonder where all the people went who can't stand fan service. Also interesting: I recently watched Vikings, and over in IMDB many criticized it for featuring women warriors and general historical accuracy. Well, mostly one, there might be some on the longships etc. but only one ever stands out. Now, Vikings has by far a larger cast of important characters than this (or most anime actually), and yet, no one cares about that with anime. Well okay, there's still that Vikings was supposed to be mostly historical accurate, where as most "historical" anime (including this) just uses the setting so they didn't have to make up everything, but still. |

| Hm, this episode was really bad somehow. Not funny, uninspired combat scenes, annoying character reactions. Teh...
