Decent episode...Koh, just can't get past his pride, but I'd probably do the samething. It's funny to watch Aoba fighting to not like Koh. I just hope they can manage to pull this one off...Urahara Out!!

It sucks that Kou got taken deep a couple of more times, but he has to face him so that he can prove to the only person he needs to prove his worth to.

Well I don't really think by letting Kou beating Azuma at this point so easily is the best idea either. No matter how good Kou is, he is just a beginner in a real game, also Azuma is created to be a strong player. Despite of all that, Kou is still amazing in that game.

Defiantly a decent episode, nothing too exciting, though.. i like the fact that Kou still isn't THAT GOOD, and i`m really looking forward to see how things will develop. it`s becoming one of my favorite shows just because it`s so enjoyable to watch. ^^

I liked this episode. Kou's not bad no matter which way you split it. The problem is that his team is so sorry (except for the guy bunting after him) he doesn't get a chance to breate between innings and he looses his stamina much quicker than he should.

For me, Kou already has Azuma beat because he's doing this well as a beginner.

I really like the way they are pacing out the game instead of rushing it :). It's great to see this on-going battle between azuma and koh, since like they said they would be losing if they wanted to take him out the easy way but instead he's actually trying to beat him properly. I also like Aoba's talking about all the players.

Man, this has to be one of the most enjoyable shows ever (and that's a good thing). And as velcom said, it's good that they are pacing out the game.

Yup he did his best and he just notice in this match how to play, well don't expect so much either that コウ is going to beat アズマ. Somehow ending up in kanji.

Was it just me or did the animation suddenly take a big hit?

Still, the story was enjoyable as usual.

I hadn't noticed any drop in animation...but maybe I was just too busy enjoying the show to notice any drop in animation.

This baseball game is starting to drag. I hate how they keep flashing back to the cat even though nobody's home (meow!). A sloppy transition IMO.

I was just satisfied by hearing Azuma's "Stop joking" to Akaishi. HAH. Take that Azuma. You're only barely winning against Kou, and this is Kou's first game ever. Azuma's probably played countless games... so Kou's performance here is more impressive when you consider how much experience each has had.

Too bad the teamwork on the "Farm" team suffers so much thanks to the three upperclassmen... D<

I was wondering that despite consecutive homeruns, they did not gave Azuma an intentional walk. Hehe, so it all boils down to Kou's pride. Interesting..

"Stop joking." Ahaha yeah Azuma you're "beating" the pitcher who's only playing his first official game. Good job.

Miki pointed the most important thing : if Koh hadn't throw those fast direct to Azuma, it would be 3 to 1. And why did he do that? Probably to prove himself wrong when he told Aoba that it was impossible to strike him out.

That coach suck so much. By being so prideful, he'll end up losing his players.

So, will Kou be able to make the miracle happen and keep it at 5 points? Difficult to say, really difficult to say.

So In the end Kou's team Had a better chance at winning should Azuma had no chance at bat. that says a lot about the rest of their team huh?

Here's Hoping that miracle will Occur.

Kou's pride? what about the damn idiot manager's pride? He's far worse than Kou at this point.

And I've been wondering this for awhile but who is this grandpa with Aoba? He's got to be someone important.

Kou still lost in the end, but little by little he is digging a place in Aoba's heart, it was cute when she believed that he could only win, and taking a loss was a no no.

I loved how they translated the lack of excitment in the last episode to intensity, it takes me back to watch soccer games and your favourite team is lack by one or two points.
also the fact that they dragging the game to more than 2 eps, I don't know so much about baseball since it is not so popular in my country, but the anime makes it so deep and complicated, I don't know how baseball in reality so I don't know if the anime is accurate in the game moves or more realistic than I think (all the "strategy thinking).
also: loved that Akaishi pointed out that this is the first game for Kou, if this were his second or third he would be much better, this is also pointed to me that experience is much more important than only skills. and also the fact that Kou's choice to give up control to speed to make more stamina.
Miki's point is something really memorable - that Kou is actually turned to show the real face of the Varsity team, though they are leading, it's all thanks to Azuma, again showing the differences not only of the coaches but the teams.

I did notice that the outer lines are much bigger than the usuals, it really bothered me, though it's common in sport anime to make sometimes bigger outlines it's often in fast scenes not in frozen moments, and it usually not that big outlines...

Well I didn't expect Ko to beat Azuma so soon anyway since it's basically his first official match but gives me hope hearing Azuma react with the 'Stop joking' when hearing about it there

Finally we're 1/5th into Cross Game. The game is still going. But it'll probably end next episode. Wonder who would win?

This being Ko's first proper game is blatantly obvious. He probably should work on his stamina and taking games more seriously.

The first string managed to take the lead by 5-3. Ouch. Will be difficult to turn this around cos of Azuma easily being able to get homerun from ace pitcher Ko. Too bad the third years are completely useless. If only the first string are going to Koshien then it means this first year will be a waste. Better luck next time. I hope coach Daimon quits. He's being too much of a dick and he'd probably lose his patience.
