You forget most of these players are playing baseball for the first time and Kaidou's guys...well they have been going at it alot longer. |

| Well they are screwed now . . . Painkillers wearing off, Goro as frazzled, and now they are getting lower on the batting order. Although it is times like this when a lucky rally will happen and/or Goro will start pitching even better. |

| It almost feel over, now that the painkiller effect are wearing off. He can't throw 3 innings like that. And not only that, they have to come back from a 2 to 0 deficit with no batter good enough to hit the ball, I don't know how they'll make it out, even though we know they'll manage it somehow. |

| One of the reasons that I love anime is that it show people that dreams can come true. Here however I am screaming for some reality, please Goro lose! At least the useless guys are still useless, so there is still some hope for reality! |

| Man it sucks when the scores only start piling up near the end of the match, really puts a bigger tension than normal. And considering they never got on the base, Seishu is screwed. But we know they'll win somehow and get to that Kaido match. The painkillers themselves were crazy enough, from 30 pitches to what, 5-6 innings with a lot of fouls? How will he even manage to keep up, yet alone score with that pain now, that will really push the suspension of disbelief. Hope it's not too insane. |

| My guess for the painkillers deal is that his foot has still be healing properly (somehow), so he's able to do more and more on it. That's a fairly strained explanation given that it hasn't been stated and is a tad hard to swallow anyway, but eh. I don't like how the whole foot situation has been handled anyway, so I'm more or less trying to ignoring it now. As for this match, a comeback will definitely be hard to come by. My best guess is that Gorou and Taiga will be the ones that manage to get runs, since I don't see this match being lost. It would be nice to see reversed game flow sometime: Gorou's team gets a good lead early on, but suffers against the enemy team's comeback and barely manages to stop the enemy team from getting that tying/winning hit before the game ends. |
| Oh shit, what a tense game. Well... the whole season is freaking tense. With a team like that Goro will always be at the edge of losing. Major manages to perfectly introduce new baseballer so every time you meet them again, it gives you some good feeling at it feels like you know them already pretty good. Major shows a big baseball world with so many different people and teams but Goro meets some of his rivals over and over again and there are going to be more and more. Thats such fantastic and good executed. |

| and again goro is the only one able to do something, but even then the pitcher outsmarted him . i though that it's strange that goro was able to stand so much time pitching, like they ignored totally his injured leg, and now again goro and the team going to enter the "death or alive" zone. |
| No way Goro did less than 30 pitches over the span of 7 innings, well still the fact that trouble is coming knowing Goro's painkillers are losing effect and Taiga not capable to pitch instead. Some parallels to be drawn between Katori here and Yamane (Mifune match) as they both want to face Goro head-on declining what their catcher want but in contrast to the throw-away move from Yamane that costed the match, Katori actually has the slider pitch that turned out to work. |
