THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Yay, BD is out. Interesting movie imo. There's a lot more violence than I thought especially in the beginning but I kinda like the atmosphere. Thankfully, I thought the visuals outshines that part with its backgrounds. The music part was okay I guess, pretty calm soundtrack. I really like this Shino guy from the movie though because of his expressions. Oh and he is a badass with that mask of his. The sakura tree and the city's designs is also pretty nice. Overall, pretty good movie; definitely enjoyed watching this. 7.5/10 |

Shino is literally a lone wolf. So sad. The girl with hunting skill is involved in government's rule for getting rid of "Fuse" just because of that leader's selfish grudge, but she also saved Shino from being lonely. Looks like Chara, theme song singer, also voiced a character. |

Why does it takes so much time for the subs to be out? I became too impatient and watched it raw. I have to say that I didn't understand many parts of the movie, I will have to rewatch it. If not, the animation is really outstanding! They tried a lot of amazing effects and it works! And I'm kind of sad that they didn't read Shino's letter at the end... |

it was decent, but i had higher expectations...i was actually kinda irritated by it. i mean, why weren't the fuse more more discrete about their eating the orb thingy? Shino's first scene has him openly provoking a dude to fight him in broad daylight and then he (Shino) doesn't finish the guy off. and why didnt they just leave? you'd be discovered anywhere you go? then where where you before coming to edo, and itezuru seemed to be hiding QUITE well before her accidental discovery other than that, the first half (that's approximately 50 mins) of the film didn't really explore/explain the fuse. ...i was hoping they'd have a more predominant focus instead of 'oh, we're just gonna hunt them.' |

I've watched 35 mins and so far it's been really boring. Does it get any better? Does anyone of importance die? I don't mind spoilers... |

Maybe the ending was a "happy ending" for most of u guys but i actually couldn't feel happy at all ... I mean when ppl love each other but can't see each other even though they are exchanging letters to stay in contact. It's really hard not to be able to see the one u love. I was really relieved when i saw the ending but felt sad for both of them and had to held back my tears a little bit. I don't like that kind of "happy ending". :P Maybe I am the only how felt that way but it's okay...it's a discussion with different opinions after all :3 |

I didn't fully comprehend the story. Can anyone explain some plot points for me? Who exactly is Shino? Why did the shogunate call him an impostor? What's with the shogunate? |

I thought it was a decent enough film, good for watching through once. I thought the shogun guy was actually one of the fuse in hiding as well, partially because of his eyes. xD; But the blade twist was ok instead. Some of the actions or whatnot was pretty good though. |

Colors and art are pretty good, same goes for soundtracks. They gave the series such a beautiful atmosphere. Though my problem with the movie was with the characters, the plot, and the whole directing of the movie. Everything felt randomly happening without any transition. Characters lacked depth. Plot had no real direction, or the movie didn't give any hint on where it's heading. "Inga. Beginning and End. Cause and Effect. That's what makes a story." Really? What about all that's in-between, Mr.Director? It seems it flew right over your head. A bag full of wasted potential. Though I did enjoy some of it at least. 6/10 |

I just watched it and it was good. There was a lot going on in the movie and it didn't go the way that I expected. The ending made me sad. I wanted the wolf and the chick to move back to the mountains and live happily ever after. |

5/5 Not bad movie. Light-hearted characters, plot a bit too hurried and character design not as nice as others, perhaps these weaknesses. This notwithstanding, the narrative succeeds with his sweet and sometimes raw, to get interested. Very nice OST, the ending theme I liked so much. A product a little immature, but in the end what matters is that coming out of a cinema, a work you leave something in her mind and heart. Is this movie succeeded. Final score of 8/10! I thought this movie had just come out, then I realized that is the 2012 ... Wow, how long did it take to see it! ^ ^ " |

Em.... Am I the only one who thinks, that it wasn't good end at all? The white wolf she shot in the neck (the only weakness), the one who cried... Seiyuu's voice match too. "In-go" part would make sense in that case too. |

I personally find the plot too lacking for my taste with no explanations whatsoever so i was confused throughout the whole movie :/ (OR maybe it's one of those type of movie where you need some prior knowledge about the japanese folk tale) Such a shame. It could have been much better. I didn't even realized Hamaji developed romantic feelings for Shino until the end of the movie since the romance was so abruptly developed. o.e I like the visuals though. 6/10 |

The art was rather beautiful, and the soundtrack was okay. The first part of the story was decent, however I felt as though it steadily declined throughout the movie. It also made me uncomfortable that it seemed to have a furry vibe, eugh. |

This movie had a lot of potential, sadly, it was poorly developed. The art was great, it was sorta of a 9/10 for me, the music was also good 8/10 but the story was a 6 or even a 5/10. It was a very confusing plot, at times it felt totally rushed, it was not nicely written. At the end there were so many things i didn't understand, for me than half of the movie i was confused, the ending was so freaking cliche and i don't even know why Shino went away. The whole resolution of the main problem wasn't even understood. I don't even know what to say about it, like, Shino released hell in the castle and burned an entire city for nothing. Messy. 6/10 and being generous because of the first half of the movie and the art and animation. |

Was disappointed by the fumbling story line, they didn't deliver on that. I didn't get what this movie was getting at, was it about hunting fuse, about the Hamaji, or Shino and his mother or him being a monster or a love story, because if it was those it failed on all. Next it was the shogunate spouting about counterfeiting, ah this was lame for real. Most of all, the guy got away of killing those guys where is the justice in that and also the guy with the one eye, what's up with that. By the way the girl this movie was named about is so lame I could vouch for her in hell, I wouldn't read the novel no thank you. This is a lenient rating so 5/10. |

I found this pretty entertaining, in terms of overall idea. I haven't heard about this at all before watching it. There were some parts of the movie/story that dragged... If they tightened it up and filled some unnecessary portions with more background, I think it could have done really well and got higher scores. It is a shame, really. I waffled with giving this a 6 or 7, but ultimately decided on 6 due to inconsistencies. |

It was overall okay film and also can't help but felt like it tried to capitalize of the mamoru hosoda's film (from I've seen two of his movies so far which were also highly successful) have same characters moods and paced with predictable plot twists pattern which wasn't my liking at all mostly being how less grounded reality they come off and make fun of serious scenes. The animation didn't felt anything movie-budget except for the artstyle was only made it great watch but it looked very bright and unfitting for a story showing lot of violent scenarios (yet there aren't any general public awareness of these violent murders!). Speaking of story, it was nothing special and could have been worst with such a ordinary ideas still somehow there do have some standout moments here and there that saved the movie from not being below average or personal dull experience. The last plot twist i.e. mc declaring her love wasn't very convincing enough imho rather just felt like we (audience) accepted it just because she is the main heroine in this film. |

I thought they will live happily ever after at mountain or similar to that. Sigh i'm watching disney movie too much. If only there's part of fuse's characters deep this movie will be more interesting for me. And what do they mean 'we' re connected' when the hunter girl shot everything? |

The ending credits song was nice. The film was entertaining. However, if someone stopped watching when they saw dead doggos I wouldn't blame them. It's too bad the hunter girl and Shino didn't just get together. e-e;; I haven't read The Hakkenden which this film seems to have been based on so I can't comment on how it compares. |

It started off alright but the plot just got less coherent as it progressed. The characters just... did stuff without reason.... things just kept happening .... also without much reason. It was such a mess towards the end, throughout that climactic fight. The character relations jumped from 1 to 100 with no development. The art, music and animation was nice. That's about it. |
