I find this episode good.

So, the mother was not that bad. She can't just express her inner feelings because maybe she has a pride or something but still, she's not that bad. I came with this conclusion after I saw the pebble in the last scene. She really treasured it with her whole heart.

I was hoping for a happy ending with the mother could finally forgive her husband (and herself) and accept Rina as her own child, even if it's already too late. However, the mother still couldn't let go of her hatred and now she's going to bring that hatred along with her to hell. This is a sad one.

I think maybe it's because deep down she didn't really HATE Rina, just what she represented: her husband's own weakness, manifest as the product of a not-entirely-encouraged affair. His desire to have a child was slightly stronger than his desire to stay completely faithful to his wife- something he ended up regretting, as it pushed them apart, which is something he never wanted.
Just my two cents.

Hmmp not bad...
The beginning with them having to take care of her was similar to something that happened to my family, so i suppose i know how the girl felt o_O

agreed. i can't imagine it getting better, even if decades were to pass. trust is an invaluable, immeasurable bond that can't be broken and simply mended with time. i feel sorry for Michiyo

Not as good as the previous two episodes, but still quite impressive.
This was quite normal episode on the usual Jigoku Shoujo scale but it still had this unique sad feeling to it that other episodes don't have.

Next episode seems to give more light to Wanyuudou's past, finally :) Looking forward to it! <3

So so episode.

The grandma doesn't hate Rina, but what she represented from the father. She tested the old man and he failed, true, but she also crossed the line. Just for a test, she trigger the birth of Rina.

and on the side. That boyfriend was not husband material and he was happy about being an adult.

Agreed. And in the end, his desire for his daughter's happiness wins out against his guilt towards his wife.
It's very sad but his daughter > his wife in every aspect.

She cannot forgive him? Why can't she acknowledge it was her idea for him to have baby with another woman. It's totally her own fault and deserves to go to hell. Who the hell would "test" people like that.

nice episode and again no hell scene but for this time it was okay the story of this episode was good enough:)

Good episode. Nothing special. Hopefully we see some more character development sometime soon.

That mother was such an ungrateful bitch.

No punishment scene :(

Sad that Ai's subordinates didn't get any screentime during this case.

Beats me why the father had to sent her to Hell and not to a hospital or something.

Oh, pitiful shadow cloaked in darkness.
Thy actions cause men pain and suffering.
Thy hollow soul drowns in thy sins.
How would you like to see what death is like?

i think that the girls logic at the end was a bit stupid

she hated me, she never smiled, she left me, she depended on me without even being grateful, she was rude to me, she expected me to worship her, she blames her own adoptive daughters birth for everything when it was her own idea to have me

but its okay she's a good person cuz she has f*cking pebble

ps - sooo did her husband have any relevance to the plot or nah

This episode was awesome..... it seriously made me cry that none of the other episodes did...,,,The moral was that she never got to know her mothers inner feelings and wanted to send her to hell although it is natural for any mother to oppose her daughter although she tried to love her ......it was just whole mixed up...I think it was wrong for them to send her to hell.

I think that the reason why Michiyo was unable to accept Rina as her husband's child (despite being her own idea) is due to self-resentment. Everytime she sees Rina, it would remind her of her own flaws; which is the inability to bear children for her husband. Michiyo might possibly felt skeptical whether both her husband & Rina will love and accept her as their family member, assuming that she was an outcast for being biologically unrelated to a child that she should treat dearly as her own daughter.

Bad episode tbh. It was predictable, though that ending where she found that button was good. But I could have lived happily without watching this episode. Too many useless episodes imo.

now let's say the Saudi Prince's my best bud and I ask him to test out my gf... guess what happens? she's gonna drop her pants for him at the speed of light, 120%
