Facing the case of a missed identity, the Revengers were about to get Liu, when another assassin strikes through and mades his escape. Being the Commissioner who has a taste of Matsumine's opiium, the trade itself is a web of coincidences that could even offer surprises of the factions that were vying for the opium to make some money: the English, even the greedy people within his Qing Dynasty. That said, the Chapel also wanting a hand on this, it seems as though there's a conspiracy plan behind the scenes. Add that to the factors like Kurima, and this web must be navigated carefully.

The Nagasaki Trade Union is definitely one to look out for as more assassins like Sute come out of the woodworks attempting on their own revenge, and having his sister Xue Mei lost to opium, Liu is the same way, of avenging his death and the vendetta passed onto the Revengers. Even so then, it's becoming awfully clear that the Nagasaki Trade Union is the one behind all of the vengeance, lead by Shishido and heralded by the priest to kill without hesitation.

Which is more vengeful: killing for fun, or really to clear vendettas?

So the Chinese were trying to get rid of the opium due to a bad trade with the British and they have managed to trace it to Nagasaki. The Qing Emperor tasked Liu with eradicating the shipment of opium, but unfortunately he got shot and was badly injured. To make matters worse, the Nagasaki Trade Union has sent their assassins again to Chinatown to kill the Chinese officials and destroy their ship. After the incident, the Chapel has turned against the Revengers and blaming the murder of Chinese officials on them. Liu died after being saved by Raizo again from another assassin, but not before he entrusted his revenge to Raizo and the others against the Nagasaki Trade Union.

Things are going to get more bloody in Nagasaki.

Liu should've stayed in bed so he could see his revenge play out, rather than see his people get murdered.
It seems next up will be a big fight between Yuen's team and the evil revengers. And the chapel probably has it out for them too, so it will get tough. I hope they make it out alive.

It really does! It also feels like Soji is going to do something stupid, which worries me. I'd like for the team to stay alive, but I don't see how it's possible.

Aaah, it really is starting to feel like itttt. On one hand, major respect if they decide to really go that route, but on the other I really wish some of them would live on.

Also, Nio going pshhpshhpshh to the cat: best timing, wasn't expecting it.

the show's build up to the climax is pretty good. For a 12 episode series I think its as flushed out as it can be. I dont get the poor rating at all. ?_?

Our favorite Samurai had a death flag already with the artist shack and the promise of a peaceful life. I guess the only thing to see now is how many people die with him.

Just like Psycho-Pass, this show got a lot better after all the introductory episodes were out of the way. It's a shame more people didn't stick around for this show to find its legs. The plot may be by-the-numbers, but the atmosphere, mood, and art are something special.

Alright, so our group of characters managed to save Liu from another group of revengers

Tbh I didn't totally get this episode but the important thing is, there's a butt ton of opium that's about to get released in Nagasaki, and our group of revengers need to not let that happen, meanwhile another group of revengers need to not let the other group not not let them do it... Yeah.

Overall, I still think the series great. Some parts of this episode felt weak to me though. The rush of revelations about what the various groups true intentions were. The head of the trade union planning to trash the entire operation just for the "fun" of drugging everybody in Nagasaki.

Thematically, it's finally getting as complex and adult-oriented as the series should be.
