Gotta love Fu's expression at the end :D
But I was wondering why Greedling would not place a full body armour which will give him a fighting chance against Bradley? any1?

Dang the progression was soo fast I was like "wtf end already??" when the ED started playing. :P

Good that nobody died in this episode... though there were tons of soldiers who died T_T I feel kinda pity for them.

Oh noes I'm just gonna hope the "Goodbye, My Lord" at the end was meant for Bradley, not Fu ji-san... O_O

This.

On one side I want to see the next chapters animated, but on the other I just don't want this series to end, I haven't enjoyed a show this much in a lot of time. ;_;

I agree with how quick the whole thing was, but I enjoyed it overall. I can't wait for the next episode! I can't believe it's already this close to 60...

Agreed!

kool_kidak: I was thinking about it as well. Maybe it makes him tired sooner, when he is trying to protect his whole body...but it's just a guess. :)

This is cool. I thought at first the old dude was scared when he found out it was Bradley. Until he mentioned Lan Fan. She's cool as well :D

I figured that Greed becomes slower when he's in his carbon form. But I never understood his powers. Homunculus are (nearly) immortal. Then why make armor? He can regenerate anyway >_>

From the moment Bradley began his one "man" assault until Fu flew in at the end, there was no let up in the action. Didn't get a chance to exhale until the ED started. Wow. The next one looks to be pretty awesome.

Amazing stuff. This episode was epic. Fu's entrance was too great, I wonder what would it had been if he were younger. /me has sparkling eyes.

Bradley is a badass, taking on the tank head on was one of the best things I have seen in many anime thus far. /me is shocked

Buccaneer might just kick the bucket in next episode, also, it seems fu is going to be a sacrifice for ling. /me is sad

Tons of soldiers are dead, i feel pity for them, Mustang's not to kill attitude in the beginning ended in a massacre at central. /me sniffs.

Also, Homunculus' true for revealed at last. this is going to be great from here onwards. /me nods head.

Also, this is the first episode which didn't show neither Al or Ed in the entire episode. no? /me can't remember.

I was confused about the opening at first, but it all made perfect sense. We can at least see how the legend of the "Sage From The West" began in Xing.

I was not expecting Father to do that. When his true form first popped out of his Triple H clone body, I thought it was going to be something like a pure animal intelligence, until the eyes and mouth popped out. Before it did though, Father's true form seriously, SERIOUSLY reminded me of Alien!!!

Moving on... I was right about Mustang's uprising collapsing. Pinning all their support to King Bradley, now they're in big trouble since he's back. What I was absolutely shocked and awed by was how quickly they were to throw the Briggs soldiers under the bus! Talk about some serious backstabbing on the good guys' part.

As for Bradley, damn man, this guy has really become a combination of Gray Fox and Solid Snake. The only thing that would have made it cooler would've been if he'd thrown the grenade in through the tank's barrel just like Snake in The Twin Snakes. Unfortunately that was impossible in this instance since the cannon was pinned against the wall.

I was not expecting Fu to make a comeback all of a sudden. When all the smoke suddenly appeared around the Central soldiers in the main gate, I thought it was the zombies breaking out of the underground. It looks like he's the only guy who can even hope to put up a decent fight against Bradley, considering he just gave Bradley the only injury he has received in the entire series (the cut on his cheek).

I also must address a serious wallbanger. Why the hell doesn't Greed go full-armor maaaannnn???

Well everything that I could say has already been said, fast pace, but awesome, over before you know it, but very kool episode.

To the 2nd Lt. great strategy! Using your head to use machine guns + terrain/height advantage. Classic tactic. Devistating when the enemy is on such a long and steep slope with lil to no cover, it literally would be a blood bath like that (WW1 for references....)

Maybe Greed can focus more of his powers into his arms if he's not full armored. Remember he was full armored before when he fought King Bradley *I think at least...I could be wrong, don't flame me!* and it didn't end so well. Ed had also found a way to injury him, maybe this reduces his chance of energy/energy consumption, even though it puts him at higher risk to be wounded.

Because they technically are and technically are not immortal. If they take no damage they live infinitely, but as we have seen, die 100x and you've used up all your powers = death. Wearing armor to reduce damage conserves the over 9,000 energy of the Philosophers stone they have within them. Something at least like that would be my guess.

Besides...it's a kool trait/technique, all the Homunculus have one ;).
If you had an awesome carbon armor, wouldn't you use it just because you could? :p

I think both of my statements may have a contradiction somewhere...but I'm no FMA:B specialist. That's just my reasoning/guess.

I was gaping at the screen when the Dwarf in the flash had that transformation. That was unexpected.

Still wondering why Greed hasn't gone full body armor but oh well. Go old man Fu!

I'm sad a bit that Mustrang's uprising is starting to fall apart. Don't want that to happen.

I still think its stupid that Greed doesn't go full armor. There's nothing in the series to even suggest that it slows him down, though I see where the idea comes from. But even if it did slow him down slightly, it still makes way more sense to trade a little but of speed for the inability to be touched. Other then that this episode was fantastic as usual.

Good god, they actually one upped the manga in this episode.

1) They made an epic tank scene even MORE epic by having it go inside and up the stairs. Holy Crap.

2) I liked the addition of the scene in the radio booth, showing how Bradley's arrival really puts a crimp in the PR aspect of Mustang's revolution. Now they're forced to lay the blame on General Armstrong.

3) Bradley in general here was just balls to the wall awesome.

Plus remember, just because you can regenerate doesn't mean that injuries still don't hurt like hell. (Lust and Envy can certainly attest to that) I would think that the pain itself would be a detriment in battle.

Hmm, I've always wondered myself about why Greedling doesn't go full armor, but perhaps it has to do with Ling's Senses? Only with his keen senses could he put up a fight against Bradley, and perhaps covering up his face in a full iron mask would hinder them too much.
And also, going full armor doesn't mean he is invincible. Remember way back when the original Greed was subdued by Bradley? He had those small weak spots(I think red circles) and Bradley stabbed a sword through them all to paralyze him.

Soo, basically he chooses to sacrifice a bit of armor in order to maintain his new sharpened senses, which are vital to keep up with Bradley's speed.

As much as the Philosopher Stone Greed doesn't admit it, Ling maintains a large amount of control over his body. Not only is this mentioned directly in the last episode (The stone "Learned" from Ling, yet in the beginning the stone was unwilling to admit that Ling had the capability to seize control/exist.) I think that's why when Greed fights, he only covers his arms.

With a full layer of carbon covering your body, you can assume that mobility, movement, or even senses may be adversely effected. You wouldn't be able to feel wind, and with someone as attuned to the environment as Ling is that is likely very crippling. Not only that, but his style of light fighting has him better suited to avoid attacks than try to absorb them. Why wear armor against an opponent who can cut through it, when you can save energy and maintain agility. (note: the carbon armor is not invulnerable. The original greed was owned by Bradley, even though he was full armor)

ON ANOTHER NOTE, THIS EPISODE WAS SO SO GUD.

The original Greed was not owned by Bradley in full armor. Bradley cut his arms off before he could, and since he can't regenerate and harden at the same he never managed to get more then his arms covered when Bradley took him down. Watch ep. 14 again if you don't believe me.

^YOU BEAT ME for my first paragraph.

I don't have much to say about the episode other than it was amazing so I'll just address this thing with Greed's armor.

Like Mundo said, Greed did not use his full armor when he first fought Bradley. He might have attempted to at the end, but Bradley was too fast and he was easily beaten. That also means Bradley never cut through the armor. Unless you were not paying attention to this episode Greed used it to guard against Bradley's swords and I didn't see any arms flying.

It's never been proven that the armor slows him down. Ed also carbonized his auto-mail when against Selim and it hardly seemed heavy.

If you notice, Greed seems to prefer fighting with the armor only covering his arms. That's how he has always fought in the series so far except the one time against Ed. Not counting the few times he carbonized to guard one spot.

There's also one more thing I'll add that Greed said himself, taken from the english dub because I keep watching it; "This obscures my handsome face so I try not to wear it that much." He's referring to the full body armor, of course ;P
Then again he is in Ling's body right now so that might not matter. Hmmmm...

Okay I'm done :3

Oh man, this episode flew by sooo quickly! I was a little angry when it ended. The Greed!Ling vs. Wrath is pretty amazing... Can't wait to see how it ends now that Fu has joined! The teaser at the end of the episode makes me think it probably won't end too well for Fu, poor old guy, but we'll see. This show continues to surprise me.

I did miss not having any Ed or Al in this episode, but it was too badass to worry too much. I positively squealed when I heard Greed!Ling's voice.
