First is about a house full of molds, the second part is about books in a library. It didn't really explain very well what happened in the second part, and I only knew the full story after reading the Library of Illusions from Junji Ito wiki.
I like Furina, I love Furina.

The first story/section 'Mold' is exactly how this whole anime series should have been done. I love the black-and-white aesthetic and the more detailed approach, this episode is probably my favorite so far and feels more in tune with Ito's work. The second story was alright too, yet felt a bit rushed.

The first story did not finish conveying all the terror that the manga conveys, but it was very good. Although the man is also stupid, I see that my house is like this and I run

The second story was great, it took the overthinking to another level

The one story they decided to do in black-and-white just had to be the one where I was genuinely looking forward to the color. What are the odds lol

I forgot about Library, so it was like watching it anew. But rereading it now, they sacrificed story details to fit the time.

I didn't understand, why did the MC of molds decided to stay in that house ? Why did the brother didn't direct told the truth ? What even happened there ?

About the second story, what happened? Was MC crazy ? Did that guy at the end invaded the house and stole the books ? Why was the MC such a asshole to his wife ? Why did she stayed with him ? Was she even real ?

This episode probably looked the best visually compared to everything else so far. Especially the second half.

the mold one was a bit nauseating, I guess deliberately so. it was my bad for eating while I watched this haha. Delightfully creepy story tho, wasn't as a big fan of the Library one tho.

the first story was so boring and the second one was just annoying. seriously, this is way worse than the previous attempt at Itou Junji adaptation, the previous one at least was  funny
the only good thing about this show is the opening

Really liked the b&w aesthetics in the first story. Very upsetting and gross.

Second story was a bit exhausting (too much yelling), but the colors really popped nicely.

Didn't like much the 1st story despite being disturbing, the 2nd one felt disturbing as well but I liked the book obsession and mansion/library atmosphere, though it was a bit confusing

Guy kept staying in that moldy house, sooner or later he would be consumed by it.. As for the 2nd part the dude's life WAS his books, loved that and the ending.

Second half Library of illusions different from the plot of og manga.
But I like anime storyline. In Manga, his wife(real in manga) was the one who burn the library and the man in asylum was mc's father(being mc in anime)

These two episodes complimented each other very well. The first story was creepy and aesthetic and I enjoyed it very much. The second story I did not really enjoy but I'll give it a rewatch later on to give it a better chance.

Edit: Kay so I read the Library Vision manga version and it was better told by the perspective of Koko. She was retelling the story like a book to the audience and fit the theme better so it would have been better had they kept that angle. The twist ending was told better in manga form as well.

Hmm why didn't lil bro tell him what actually happened with the house.
So, he could save the mc.

Koko is the name of a book too? That means the wife isn't real?
Or did the creepy guy turned her into a book? 🥴

Two shorts again

The first about a home full of moho!
The second, a man crazy with the books!

Unexpected final in both shorts!

Both episodes deal with hoarding and trying to keep things. Even when the house was fucked, the MC stayed there. He died by it. The guy clung to his books, and... Transformed by it? Imma just assume he was burned with the books.

Maybe it's because I've had it on the brain, but all I could think of during the first story was Resident Evil 7. Meanwhile the second one brought The King in Yellow to mind.
