Well, I didn't particularly care for it. I'm not a big VTuber or Holo no Graffiti fan, but I have appreciated quite a few of the music videos. My reasons are: [*] The song is not to my taste. I get that it's supposed to have a chaotic feel as it switches between the girls and their styles, but it's not something I would choose to listen to again. [*] The visuals are what you'd expect from Holo no Graffiti, which is fine, but nothing special. [*] I wasn't really invested in Umisea, so this essentially being a music video continuation, didn't really excite me. Obviously this isn't a 1/10 (few things are), but comparatively to all the others I've viewed, it was below average. People who mass hate VTubers, or anything for that matter, should not be taken seriously - while I might not be the biggest fan, I can see why many people like them. |

I found it whack and I agree with @Kwanthemaster the chaotic style of the song doesn't appeal to me. I also disliked how they are singing together with so many sound effects added alongside and with their voices, it takes the uniqueness of both Aqua and Marine's voices. On the same topic, even though this screams AKB48, the line distribution is terrible, despite having 48 in the name, AKB48 doesn't have their bops with every idols singing most lines, because that's not how it works and how it gets popular. I also don't care about Umisea, the only thing they "share" is the sea concept and basically Marine is carrying them, which doesn't make the unit any different from some other interactions Marine has. Hololive is just capitalising on something fans created, they aren't wrong they have to make money, but that doesn't mean it is good. |
