My ears hurt hearing Subaru and Beatrice arguing with each other, as they screamed at each other.

Even though Subaru and Otto are in prison, Otto makes the atmosphere better, it looks like Garfield will turn into a beast, in the last scene his hands grow bigger.

Tbh, Beatrice's reaction to Subaru this episode didn't surprise me. Seeing Subaru in that state of despair is rather depressing.

I find the scenes between Subaru and Garfiel rather amusing especially with the latter screaming right to his face with that brutal honesty. Definitely not a guy to be underestimated. All those memories collectively playing in Subaru's head was kinda painful to watch...

Did Basuru really thought he could kill himself with that little splinter? He is getting a pain fetish over his RbD.

This episode had a lot of good things going for it.

First off we learn a lot about Beatrice especially how she actually feels about Subaru she looked visibly sad and disturbed by his death and his action showing that she really actually cared for him.

My question is why she ultimately let him get killed there I mean unless I am wrong no one can get into that room unless she lets them in.
So she let the killer into the room to kill Subaru thus fulfilling his wish at least that's what I think.

Answered my question thanks to @mozgow @Usaka_ @TeamDalaiLana
No one can find her if she is actively hiding.
but Subaru has a habit of finding the right door to go through to get into the library when she's not actively hiding. and the bad lady just happened to get lucky I think.

Second, Otto is now best man if that's even a thing for that save. And Subaru looks actually happy to have a friend.

I thought it would end a little bit later, but it's a good place to end an episode :-)

If I remember correctly this is the first time Beatrice mentioned Mother in the anime, right?

Unless Beatrice is actively hiding*, anyone can get into the library - it's just a matter of luck. And Subaru has a knack for finding the right door.

* - if she's doing that even Subaru can't find her.

The Beako scene with Voice acting was amazing. When reading volume 11, I imagined her as being much more aggressive. When I’m reality, she was more like a scared little girl panicking. Can’t wait to see her volume 12 actions animated at the end of this cour.

Subaru and Otto’s moment was so nice to see. Otto’s best boy.

White fox as usual, are making good progress through the volume too.

Correct, Subaru gets in repeatedly, uninvited. She's pissed everytime he pops in in season 1, always asks how he keeps getting in. And blases him out the door eventually.

My assumption is that the doorcrossing is constantly changing so opening all the doors but 1 may not even do it. I think it would be opening the correct door at the perfect time gets you in. Subaru just has a nack for finding it.

I'm quite shocked seeing Beatrice having emotions ever since my hazy memory only remember her as ice-cold keeper of the library. So she's been doing everything according to the book? Who is this mother? I'm quite curious to find out.

Things took a different turn upon revealing that Subaru still insists of taking the trial instead of Emilia without both Emilia and Roswaal knowing about it.

Otto's reasoning for saving Subaru was kinda cliched, but the execution was so much better. It ended up Subaru laughing so hard. Also, Otto you da mvp man.

Can't wait.

One more episode of RE:Zero...
What a scene between Beaco and Subaru, Discusing with each other and resulting in a Subaru totally desesperated... just reminds a lot season 1.
Also Subaru and Otto scene was good but in this case, for a funny moment (Otto best man)
I got the feeling the season start to get into a faster pace now... just waiting for next episode!!

It feels odd but i wanna ask. If the mother of Frederica and Garfield was a human and their dads were both half humans, how Garfield doesn t have the same blood ratio as her sister (him being 1/2 but she being 1/4)? I had an argument with a friend about this and i wanna figure this out. ^_^

So im a bit confused as to some of the events in this episode. As I havent read the LN, I have zero clue who "Mother" actually is. I have my theorys but no real answer. I dont want someone to tell me, just tell me if im supposed to know at this point. Did I miss something in an earlier episode that explains this? As for Beatrice, she really spent most of their conversation on the verge of tears. I was really surprised at that. And she was healing his abdominal region, did Subaru get slashed a little bit?

Outside of that confusion. It was a good episode but I feel like it was not much more than a delay to another death. But by whos hands is a big question. If Garf gets him i feel like he will beat him to a pulp. He looks like he's gonna be HUGE!!!!

If Subaru is being led outside the Barrier he can't talk with Roswaal. The only way to get the answers he wants would be for Ram to give them up. Im asuming she probably knows. Ofcourse he could just kill himself and try reaching Roswaal again and hope the events don't take the same path or he will have to run to him before he's captured.

I felt like ep 6 left us with a lot of questions. Ep 7 while it really only answered a few questions, all about Beatrice. The rest aren't as pressing or are not relevant since his reset. But since its been 3 days in captivity the question of when the girls will be killed in the mansion still stands. Since their deaths are supposed to coincide with his arrival, or slightly before. How long does he have before its too late to save them?

Furthermore how does Elsa know when he is magically supposed to be scheduled to actually return? I guess we won't know that until we figure out who's pulling her strings.

Would like to know how Elsa finally found the library and why Beatrice sat there and did nothing, then the look of panic on her face as Subaru gets stabbed. She responds with the age, voice, and wisdom of an ancient woman most of the time. But her actions and responses this time were more like a young child...curious.

This Anime is so thought provoking, I love it!

Pretty good episode, this! Looks like things are really diverging every retry here, I wonder what's next in store now.

Beako and Subaru at it on each other was painful to watch at the start. I can sort of understand Subaru's frustration though in all honesty, too much mystery sorrounding Beako at the moment. Why didn't she try to save him when Elisa intervened though? Something tells me it's more than just adhering to his wishes...

Damn, Garfiel's always given that antagonistic vibe and here it is! Along with the old baba, I wonder what's their side of the story.

But leaving all that aside, this is Otto's episode! No wonder why he is getting so much attention in the ongoing Petit series, lol. Such passionate friendship, very nice to see! Working in cahoots with Ram, pretty much saw that coming honestly. Such a cheeky remark though, as expected of Onee-sama xD.

The scene at the beginning with Beatrice was great, very interesting character development.
And damn they really kidnapped Subaru... Garfield is creepy especially at the last frame when we can see that he's extremely pissed off.
And Otto was so kind haha, explaining to Subaru that he's his friend, and nice that they met Ram at the end, now they just have to escape but be careful of Garfield

but wait, before the deaths Gar wasn't this agressive with him. could it be that the stench gets more intense with each death?

the kidnapping was totally unexpected and Otto... what a man.

Man, this episode was something else. Just seeing the breakdown of Beatrice was truly shocking. But what surprised me is the witch book she had.
Also, Otto coming in with the clutch save. I feel like since the beginning of the series, Subaru hasn't really had a "friend' or at least a male friend. So far, the male figures Subaru has met would be more like acquaintances.
And Rem at the end, boating her macho. "Even as an old granny, I'd still be cute" Very cute indeed.

This ep was dialogue heavy af, well not like this was the first, just that it stood out the most cause Beatrice snapped. Garfiel’s shit didnt surprise me that much, I expected someone to react like Rem did when she kept on killing Subaru back on S1. Otto redeemed himself this ep! I remember when he threw Subaru off the carriage back then when they werent ‘friends’ yet.
Also I am loving Ram’s character more and more this time around! Her jabs at the end and that last smug *HEH* definitely one of the treats this season in Re Zero, well her and Echidna... I miss Echidna!

Even if Beatrice said she did all of cause it was what the gospel and her mother told her, it's obvious she's still attached to Subaru, seeing her reaction when Elsa kills him. We have another mystery now.

Fortunately, the checkpoint remains the same, so Subaru doesn't has to worry about losing Ram, Frederica and Petra. Too bad the misma of the witch got him in troubles again. Fortunately for Subaru, Otto crowned himself as best bro and saved the day. My respect for him grew to unsuspected levels.
Honestly, even if Garfiel was a jerk this episode, giving that a lot of Subaru's allies have killed or mistreated him through the run of the series, he will probably turn into an ally at some point.

While I know this is supposed to be Otto's episode, I'm sorry, there is just too much to really think about him! lol

First, Beatrice and the Gospel scene was just heartbreaking, and Subaru in all that trauma, totally forgot what Roswaal said to say to Beatrice and thus came up to a stone wall when it came to getting answers from her! So frustrating...

And then there was Garfiel's betrayal, but I don't really blame him because honestly, who HASN'T almost killed or actually killed Subaru because of the Witch's scent on him?

But I don't think this trip will be any more successful than the last one. Subaru leaving with Ram only is just going to result in the same ending as the second loop. I think we might need to redo this again.
