| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The preair is up online, about 22 minutes long. Oda Nobunaga is easily the most noticable character in this so far. He meets a pretty woman on the road so I wonder her significance in this show. I have to admit, this show/episode had more fan service than I had expected. From just the first half, we got at least two of the main guys near nude. It's still a serious show though by the looks of it, not too much for jokes. I may drop this. Really boring imo. |

| Not that great IMO. Pretty boring, storyline didn't really have any impact to it. I did like that it did have a little historical accuracy, but thought it was stretched a little too much. Nobunaga seems to be the focus of a lot of animes recently. |
| As a Sengoku Nerd (with a particular interest in Nobunaga himself) i was so excited for this because it's actually quite hard to find any decent information about him in the West. I was not disappointed! Thought this was a great first episode that introduced Nobunaga's personality, clan and morals well. |

| I just can't ignore historical Japanese anime- I'm sorry no matter how unpopular it is. I just didn't appreciate for how fast this episode was, but I'll forgive it. I want to see some samurai action and war with a bit of romance on the side. |

| Thought it was gonna be a pretty boys anime. It seems like it's more than that. But the drama looks kinda mediocre. Will have to watch another episode or two to decide. |

| Umm...not so sure whether to invest in this anime. 3 episode count. I'm sure we've all seen resemblances of Oda Nobunaga, probably too much. Plus Studio Deen's disastrous showing of Bakumatsu, its not hard to see why. |

| I have to admit: It was a bit weird to see Nobunaga and his companion in their childhood and Nobunaga getting interested in an older girl. Also him being always bare chested on the horse and the feminine looks. With the older design (as seen in OP/ED and on the official website) in their youth it should feel a bit better (and hopefully more clothed). I think they'll progress quickly to that point. So far the episode was not that interesting for most of the time. I liked how he stood up against his father though. Was nice and I'd expected it to end up with some laughing of the fater where he probably recognized Nobunaga's resolve. I'll give this a few more episodes. Hopefully a bit more timeskip until episode 2-3 and them reaching the final char design and age they are going to use until the end of the anime. Mother, father - and the other chars (which weren't made feminine) were nice. And the setting. I especially liked the monk and his voice. |

| Oda Nobunaga in his teens huh...quite interesting hostorical piece! That animation of the Nobunaga crest was top class! (at the end of this episode) 4/5. |
