| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Pretty solid start for the season. The voice acting is good and I like Jousuke's portrayal in this. Those fabulous hair is just glorious to look at while I kinda like his personality as well. Jotaro and Jousuke's on-screen chemistry is also nice.  Awesome stand features as well.  |

| C'on.... dont post if u havent watched the epi- Holy sheat i love the colors. The animation is decent but not that WOW, i hope the dvd ver will improve some derp faces but that was cool for a first epi! i can't wait for ze songs. | That anime original intro of you know who got me all sorts of hype right now. They covered a lot more this episode than I thought they would. Hopefully the pace will be faster this time around cause SC was unbearably slow for some parts. |

| I'm giving it a 10 right in the first episode and I don't even care. It was SO good. I'm so happy to see my favorite part finally animated. I loved everything about it. The color palettes were great, gotta love p4 pastel Star Platinum. Also, Josuke is best Jojo. |

| Wow this was so disappointing. Did all the sponsors leave? This looked so horrible, almost flash animation tier. I hope this was just April Fools, because Duwang was the only JoJo part I liked, and now it's shit. Fuck you David Production. Give me my Duwang. |

| I don't mind the artstyle changing, as it fits the manga better, but..... there really was no budget. I'm guessing blu-ray will fix this, but still. I'm liking the voice acting and the overall style, but I hope it has better pacing than part 3. |

| Thought this first episode was great, love all the colors and the OST and the VA fits for Josuke but here is my only complaint, don't think the VA for Kouichi fits his character at all, not how I imagined how his voice would be or am I alone in this? |

| Oh god, I just love the aesthetics! I really missed that since of bizarreness from the weird use of colour in stardust crusaders, I'm glad it's back. The first episode seemed like a great start to kick off the fourth part, though I do think some of the dialogue laid some things on a bit too thick. I eagerly await the next episode. |

| Damn, this was good. It's been a while since I read the manga, so it's pretty fresh to me, and the visuals are great! I hope they keep this quality, even though I think there'll be some drop in a few episodes. The pacing is fast, but feels natural and nice, and the voice actors did an awesome job. |

| Good God almighty, I've been waiting for this moment for almost ten years now - it feels like an utter dream to see this animated, and while the episode was characteristically lacking in the animation department, DP just blows it away with the presentation. These people KNOW Jojo, and I can't wait to see how they'll adapt the rest of one of my favorite parts. |
| The Jojo's greatness is back although I hope that there won't be a repeat of what happened in third part. The journey was a little bit too long and repetitive for my taste. The wait was definitely worth it with Dio's greatness at the end but I hope there will be no repeat of that. Even if it will be I still will definitely be watching. By the way the news about there being 39 episodes are true... if so please yes... . I don't see anything strange in that though. Giving a new series multiple season might be risky but here we are talking about Jojo. Also it's nice that now the part four is also season four. |

| The artstyle for Duwang is disappointing for me. I held on to the hope that it would look better in the show than in the previews, but sadly this doesn't seem to be the case. The filler scenes are alright and as usual the manga content itself is good, but goddamn: Use the manga artstyle ;__; Also, the animation looked suprisingly cheap compared to Stardust at times. I wonder if that is because SC is by far the most popular part in Japan and maybe some sponsors didn't resign the contracts? |

It shouldn't be as problematic as Stardust Crusaders (or Vento Aureo, when that gets an adaptation, but if it goes awry it will leave such a bad taste in my mouth. Hoping everything goes nicely. |

Because parts 1-3 were mostly GAR/muscle and from part 4 on also Araki's art changes to more slim and flamboyant characters and everything overall. The same thing happens then again in part 7, but there because of the transition to seinen magazine. And it also fits the slice of life tone of the part 4 and this little village imho. I personally like it. Nope, look at Duwang again. Even in the later changes there are pronoucned facial features and I feel like David Pro should have went with a style that resembles the middle parts of Diamond rather than the current very smooth, bland look. Not to mention that even if one lieks the srtstyle, the animation is still not on par with SC. Never thought I would say this, but I am a bit worried about this adaption right now :( |

I also like Jotaro's face more in SC than here for example. Well, if they follow the manga step by step we have nothing to be worried about. The characters and the story is the same. Its still JoJo, just in a different artstyle. I think you will get used to the artstyle in a few episodes. The animation actually didnt look that bad. Its pretty fluid. Maybe not on SC level, but its still good. That's the thing, though: David Pro set the expectations pretty damn high with the previous adaptions. This may be an disappointment on a very high level, but it still is one to me. |
