The general consensus seems to be that while the first season was good for various reasons, the second season hasn't fulfilled the potential shown in season one and is generally just bad in a lot of ways...animation, story quality, pacing, being boring, following up on arcs from season one that were left open, etc.

Obviously not everyone feels that way, and plenty of people are enjoying this season and that's cool too.

However, given the amount of people who have expressed that they're bored, or whatever, I'm curious... if this show goes to a third season, which it looks like it will, are you going to watch? Are you willing to give it another 25 episodes of your time?

I'm fascinated to know why, either way. :D

Log Horizon season 2 isn't any worse than season 1 and season 1 was good so yes I'll watch a third season, hope it gets a fourth too.

Even though season 2 drawing is a bit different from season 1, I still enjoy it.
IMO, I would say it's way better than SAO 2....
It's just my two cents so don't mind it.

I disliked both equally, but I'd still watch a 3rd season. Preferably not another 25 episodes though.

Seriously tho, I loved season 1, and at this point I've invested too much time into it. No reason not to watch a third season

I am frustrated with it, it seems like it 60% of this season was fillers! The 1st season was better, also I did not like the new art of this season and I hated how we still don't know about Krusty and no one seems to be looking for information about it.

The problem with Season 2 is the horrendous amount of stills, and the much more serious tone. That, and they keep doing multiple arcs at once.

If there's a 3rd season it's gotta be 2-4 years or something for the author of the LN to adapt from properly. Some of the filler was all right but the rest nah. Though I cannot be sure what you mean by frustrated since after episode 22 it just got interesting.

Really? I seriously can't tell what's so different about season 2 compared to season 1. They feel the same in every way, even with the new art style. Actually, I like season 2 more because it felt as though things were picking up a little bit, and a lot more was going on.

So you're okay with them doing nothing at all for ten episodes, then picking up in the final three to re-hook you for a sequel?

Just asking, not judging... the whole reason I made this thread was to get a feel for where people's heads were at because that stuff fascinates me.

Edit: I totally agree that it would need to be a few years out in order to have plenty of source material. Down with filler!!!

^I already wrote that I was ok with the fillers but not the rest. I don't mind some slice and life stuff and no story progression. Basically it depends. I prefer if they stuck with proper adaptions using the original source of the LN or manga (and depending on the Visual Novels) but not many of these stupid producers who order the studios to destroy the story or condense it to a very disturbing level to fill in a cour let alone if it gets a second season. Some fillers can be good like adding side stories from published manga or drama cds but originals are a toss up due to there being so many that I disliked that it has outweighed the good ones.

I wouldn't call season 1 good, nor will I say season 2 is bad. Only reason season 2 seems bad is because everyone is giving season 1 the benefit of doubt and the expectation of finally getting into the story is nigh high for season 2. Sadly of course, season 2 continue to drag it out just like season 1(yes you all need to be reminded that season 1 was equally as good/bad as season 2 when it comes to any story event happening) Ask yourself what exactly did happen in season 1 other then shiro meeting the mage(creating new spell and turning rundy into adventurer) and also nuhera appearance right in the last episode

Would I watch season 3? Of course I will. With roe2 appearance, the plot is going to move forward at this point onwards(unless the producer somehow find a way to troll us with another 25episodes of nothing happening until the very end). Which is also why I am angry with both season. Season 1 and 2 could easily be just 12 episode instead of 50 and we will still not miss anything. You guys are unhappy with the fillers in season 2? Well that is what you get when a 50episode worth of time could be condense to 12epsidode worth as easily.

I don't think S2 was bad, sure, it was a miss for some people and it felt very distracting from the main plot but I feel like it did a good job at making us understand the People of the Land a lot more. Especially the way they view adventurers and also showed us other ways of how adventurers see themselves. So, yeah, I enjoyed it although not as much as S1 because I really dislike the kids. Which means that I'll definitely watch S3 even though I worry about its plot quality since I've heard that S2 used up all released original material.

Season 1 was good. The story and characters are what really got me. Season two started good but then got bad real quick. The art is hard to overlook but it's still livable. The story on the other hand is stale and lacking real substance. Random things happen and explanations for those random things are half hearted. If a season 3 happen I'd still watch just because of all the time I've invested.

From what i hear they have more or less adapted all the novels, hopefully it gets a 3rd season later down the line rather than force one out, id like to see this series all the way to the conclusion but not if it means jeopardizing the pacing anymore

Unless they go anime original, it cant get another 24 episode season.

Without spoiling any of what that material may be, how much, if any, material exists currently that has yet to be adapted?

The Sunk Cost Fallacy. It's similar to people that refuse to buy a newer car to replace an old one that constantly needs repairs because they've sunk so much money into repairs. Or any other similar situation where someone has invested a lot of money/time/anything into something when it would have been better to just cut your losses and move on.

I would watch more of this. I really loved the first season, but while I don't think the second is terrible, it does seem to be missing some of that special something that would make me really love it. Maybe the tension is just too low. Maybe there hasn't been enough real interaction with People of the Land. Maybe there's just not enough Shiroe being a badass. I do want to know where it's going though.

I would definitely watch a second season, mainly because I don't want to end my experience of Log Horizon, on such a poor note.
