I was eager to see this in UBW and she didn't waste any time. Nice. It was also great to see the mysterious lady this episode with the purple hair. I think her character design is decent anyways. Overall good action. Shirou's got some guts for taking that attack tbh. |

| Well, another amazing episode, as to be expected from Ufotable~ We learn the main event that caused Shirou's ideal to become a superhero. Rin is exasperated by his stupidity and gets dangerous. Then there's a school chase scene thing, the proof of a budding budding romance between these two~ I wonder if she's seriously trying to kill him~ Man, tsunderes these days are so violent~ So we got to see more about Rin's magic, which is pretty cool. And Shirou's magic, which is...pretty basic, but practical enough to keep him alive. But more importantly - purple-haired Servant! Yay it's her! ...*sigh* Heroes these days are so unheroic and lack any shame too, huh. It's pretty hard to believe that someone who looks so lewdly could be an ancient hero, it weirds me out, but okay. Wonder who her identity is. Makes it'll all make sense once we know~ Oh, Shirou, we all know you like Rin, but the girl has Archer, ya'know. Yer better off with Saber, or maybe that girl Sakura. |

| That Rin. And that purple haired chick. Showing off her best assets as usual. The shift from shocked to mischievous to worried to smiling to blushing Rin face is kinda funny. Btw, Stark, you should start using this: instead of making the mods edit your OP every time. |

| Another VERY faithful episode that alleviated quite a few fears I had about this adaptation. They should have made certain points a bit clearer(the significance of the pre-credits scene, but maybe they will expand upon that in next ep). Otherwise it was everything I have expected and they handled Shirou confrontations decently showcasing his on the spot thinking capabilities and tactical approach towards encounters(they even managed to animate the whole "dodging before the impact" thing in the fights which Lancer fight lacked to portray). Some monologues would have helped, but otherwise it was very faithful and fair portrayal IMO. Should certainly improve the secondary perception of him and alleviate some of deenpoisoning. Episode ended earlier than expected but oh well Oh and yeah, Rin's nose is fine this episode. It seems they finally perfected her design, somewhat. 5/5 |

| Nice ep. Finally showing some Shirou BAness ^^ Loved all his action scenes. Hardening the desk and protecting Rin from the arrow...and finally keeping up with Rider's speed like a boss :3 Based Ufotable Shirou ;P Archer sure loves staring at the scenery XD Well with awesome vision like his I'd be too ^^; Dem Rin faces were so much fun esp her first shocked one XD And her Blushing faces when Shirou told her he hopes they'll stay together was kawaiii <3 Her tsundereness is just too cute XD She keeps owing him :P DAT RIDER DOE *A* Perfect design :3 And dem OPPAI <3 I wonder if there's any anime only viewer who couldn't figure out her master <_< It was so obvious lol XD Assassin incoming >.<!!! | Well, that was a great episode, went by pretty fast and before I knew it it was over. They kinda surprised me since they covered a bit more content than I expected. This might explain why the purple woman fight scene felt kind of shortened to me, if a bit rushed, but aside from that it was a great scene. And of course the school fight scene really delivered, it was amazing. Can hardly wait for next week's episode knowing who's coming. chickenonthepan said: I'm dead. i'm fucking dead... My heart. | The pacing felt pretty fast. It's not really a bad thing but some parts felt a little rushed... I feel like they could have cut some of the last episode and placed some of the early events from this one in the last episode in order to give the more important scenes more screen time, oh well. This had a scene I was anticipating a lot with how Shirou handled the thing with Rider and I think that even though it was quite a short scene, they portrayed it very well. Now we should be seeing some nice action nearly every episode. |

| One more incredibly faithful episode! Rider finally makes appearance, and Rin continues to overpractice her battle magic facial expressions. It seems to me that they are going with a "episode N covers most part of day N" plan, and, considering time spent on future battle scenes, we will most likely have episode 12 end in the middle of day 11. With the whole second cour to cover remaining several days. (Can't wait) |

IF the expressions looked like in the VN this anime would be UBW2002 and not 2014. I'd like to think we have moved forward in animation enough to have human expressions now, which ufotable seems to think so too. Seriously seeing nothing wrong. It flows very naturally and conveys her emotions perfectly. |
