Anyway nothing really happened in this episode besides the usual lewdness and beta bushybrow MC. I don't know why I'm even still watching this. Nope, not even your boobs shall sway me. Despite Ikumi's (eventually successful) efforts to get them to strip and go swimming. Spin spin. Ikumi has a crazy sense of direction, even after being spun to the point of almost falling over. Lol breast-grab when she's about to trip over the watermelon. Then another one when she's about to hit him over the head. Then he shows up. Ruining that nice little not-quite-romantic scene. That guy from the first newspaper club. He's starting to annoy me. Fortunately he wasn't on long this time. Is it really a good idea to follow that mohawk guy's instructions? I hope he remembered to put stuff back again... |

| I always like to say something positive. There have been some cases of anime series which turned out to be outstanding classics, but the first two, three or four episodes were executed very poorly before everything "clicked together". In this case, they have quite a lot going for them: (1) A good light novel series. It least it has been very successful. (2) Good character designs. At least, I like them. (3) Good voice performances. Again, to my taste. (4) A good director and other production staff, based on past work. (5) A really, really catch OP. So I am going to go out on a limb here and predict that the rest of this series is going to be absolutely outstanding starting from Episode 5. Yes, we saw the "obligatory beach episode" which is one of the classic "fillers" when they don't have enough material to fill out the cour. My belief is that they threw together this brainless swimsuit episode while at the same coming up with great ideas for next week. The director is apparently quite a genius at storyboarding, and from the look of it I'm guessing it took him about five minutes for the entire episode. So I am definitely going to be watching next week. |

| I'm liking this series. It's far from perfect, but even if it doesn't improve at all and stays like this the whole way, I will happily watch the series through to the end. I like all the characters except that guy from the first newspaper club. I like the concept. I've enjoyed most (read: all but one) of the segments so far on the whole. Oh and the OP is the best OP of the current season And the series is a long way from being mindless, even if a few of the activities have been. That said, I think this is something that works better in novel form than as an anime. Quite a few of the key parts are skipped over really quickly, or just put up as text on the screen for a second or two. If they didn't do that it would probably have a really slow pace as an anime which would bore a lot of people, but as it is it ends up with a situation whereby there's nothing important missed out, but you don't actually take it in, thus shifting the focus away from the (better) discussions and onto the (more flashy and occasionally fanservice-y) activities. From that I think this anime was done pretty much entirely as promotional material for the novel series, which might be why the series hasn't been picked up for simulcast anywhere outside of Japan. That's not to say that it can't work for that purpose on people from elsewhere as well, though, and I'll probably be getting the books at some point - although they're not my top priority from the currently airing stuff (that honour goes to rokujouma). |

There must be a rational business model in there somewhere. |

I was thinking the same thing, but every anime has to have one, that seems to be the generally rule in which they follow. I found it good for a different pace in this series and it fits well. |

| Typical beach episode, but it has less fanservice then any other beach episodes I watched. Those poses and that pout face for fumi was pretty funny and cute XD. And Akamatsu tried to do touch Rino but a little misunderstanding about the bucket XD. Oh yeah that peeping system made me LOL As always, still fast paced talking like the other episodes, but it is a pretty funny episode XD. |
| Well, enjoyed the whole episode... except the pervert trek our main character did. Surprised he didn't take the chance to... you know... I MEAN CMON, if you liked seeing the scrunched boobs and the bio girls waist, you wouldn't take the time to do it??? I do enjoy the advice they give though, it's not too bad, though a bit indirect. |

On the other hand, I think that the volume of comments on MAL discussion threads tell a story, even though part of this volume is from people who want to explain why they dislike the series. It is not unusual that I will comment on an episode in a MAL thread and see only two or three other replies. |

| This series gets better and better by episode! As aforementioned by other members, a typical beach episode, but it was quite funny. The memory solution of Rino and the other jokes actually made me laugh! LOL Very kawaii grimace by Fumi, but Ikumi is still carrying the whole show. |

I'm impressed that Ikumi got Fumi into all those poses lol :P Also that conversation with Rino ... ahaha XD Can't believe she also managed to fall on him TWICE! Oh gosh ... should I pity him? XD I can't believe that mob character guy went through such an elaborate set-up just to peep into the baths lol XD Akamatsu was just like "..." when he looked ... lol :P I'm enjoying these random laughs I get. I put off watching this show sometimes, but man the episode sure passed by quickly :O |
