| Well, this series didn't pull any punches. The battle involving the newest Precure (Sunshine) concludes next week, but that very same episode has all 3 taking on Dar Precure. I can't wait until next week. |

| Cure Shunshine's transformation and she herself are awesome! But I wouldn't say right way that she fights better than the other two, because I remember it was this way when Erika transformed in Cure Marine for the first time. Of course, my memory may be tricking me... I really liked the BGM of when Blossom and Marine fought the Desertrian~ |

| Hell yes this episode was awesome. I'm glad I got back into watching this series. It's sure as hell more entertaining than anything I've attempted to watch this summer. |

| I've been dragging ass trying to watch this. So much so I could only handle two episodes a day max. But, with the introduction of a new PreCure, this was actually quite refreshing. Sunshine's design is fantastic, and her transformation scene in my opinion is a lot better than Blossom and Marine's. I really hope it picks up a bit more speed. |

| Cure Sunshine's outfit and transformation are awesome! Itsuki has such a great smile throughout the transformation. I do find it a bit weird that her flower power move uses a tambourine, though, like honestly even if they made the tambourine look like a sunflower it seemed pretty random to me. xD |

Now I understand why her and her brother were praising the sun in that flashback The sun fits Itsuki so well, and as I expected, in the few minutes that she's spent as a Precure she already manages to shine brighter than Blossom and Marine combined. That fight scene against her Desertorian'd onii-sama was one of the show's most beautiful pieces of animation to date. The other most noteworthy element in this episode was probably the Desertorian itself. It's probably the first time a motive for turning into a Desertorian was so heavy: Satsuki's fear was completely relatable, and I felt trully sorry for him when I heard him say "I am free." |

| Oh man, what a great way to introduce the third Precure! Itsuki is great as Sunshine, and dishes out some seriously awesome asskicking. I love her design, and the fact that she's such a badass. Loving it! I am hyped af right now. |

| I was kind of spoiled for the identity of Cure Sunshine prior to Heartcatch, but I didn't know what she actually looked like. The mid-transformation Itsuki with long hair looked absolutely like a Umakoshi design, and while the twintails are kind of goofy, I get it's a way for Itsuki to really become another character. In that regard, I also liked the minor touch of having Itsuki use "watashi" instead of "boku" while transformed. For the episode itself, Fresh Precure still holds, in my mind, the darkest Precure has gotten as far as character and storytelling. Still, as far as presentation goes, this episode had a lot in terms of personal fears with Itsuki's brother undergoing surgery. Even if it's completely safe, the fear of medical complications is not something to take lightly, and this episode made sure to make that fear palpable. The visual design of the camera angles and shadows worked wonders, and I liked the Desertrian transformation got completely skipped. All we see is Sasorina's surprisingly intimidating entrance followed by a broken window, and that's all we needed to know. The animation was also a step above Heartcatch's usual palette, which is already pretty damn good to begin with. This was help with Cure Sunshine's movement looking swift, precise, and fluid, most likely due to Itsuki's innate training. Though, it's more than likely to just sell her new appearance by having her seem absurdly strong. Of course, I don't mind, as I like Itsuki's character, so I'm all for her taking an active role in the plot. Still, those twintails are just so goofy, it'll take a while to get used to. |
