| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Right from the get-go, the big question that was leaving me hanging in the previous episode was answered within the first couple minutes, which made me realize that the slow pace and build-up of the previous episode was needed after all. The second half of this episode had some more jaw-dropping, laugh-out-loud and emotionally stunning scenes. Forget what I said about the animation preventing this show from getting a 10. The animation in Season 1 of Higurashi didn't stop me from giving it a 10. xD I know that the Vestal and Rain sprite might be coming back soon. Preview looks neat. The pipe fox is appearing again. |
| I liked these past two episodes okay. Kind of started to feel more like morality play about hurtful words than I cared for so I was slightly disappointed on how this unfolded. I'm interested to find out why Doumeki shot down both twins without a thought. Maybe he's planning on becoming a monk lol. |

| That episode showed it again. Words hurt much more than physical violence. Watanuki was to passiv again, ba~ka! A nice slap on the younger twin would have helped. XD His character makes me want to hate him. I hope he will be more active in the future... |

| Gah, the younger sister irritated the hell out of me. That's exactly how my younger sister is; always like "Who cares" whenever I speak. I'm glad the older sister chopped off her hair and changed her attitude. I also enjoyed having a 2 part episode this time :-) |

| Finally it's a 2 episode arc instead of a single episode by itself. I was hoping for something like this. The younger sister irritated the hell out of me. I felt like hitting her or at the very least covering her mouth. Being overprotective of her older sister and making it harder and harder for her to change instead of encouraging her to change. I'm glad there was a happy ending and the older sister is taking the necessary steps to change. |

| As someone mentioned earlier, Doumeki doesn't seem too interested in love at the moment and he also appears to know more than he lets off. Wth is going on with this character? Hope to find out in future eps. |

| Hahahaha so true.... Looks more like those who are wishing for a Doumeki + Watanuki ship wishes are coming true!!!! To me and more that I've read further in the manga, this looks more like a thing that will deppen their relationship than anything else, but Doumeki is definitely not interested in love hahaha I really loved this episode since it showed us how words can play in our lives... Just see what they did to that poor older twin... And the siblings are the ones that hurt you the most with their words since they know what to say to hurt you, but also they perfectly know how you are, especially those who are older than you. And I see that a lot... and it's sad... Well at least the older twin is a different person n_n And so she paid with her cut hair ne? Wonder what could Yuuko do with it... | 1. The sisters badly badly needed names. Instead of just being "the twins" or "the older sister" or "the younger sister." The conversations were REALLY awkward. 2. Doumeki is gay or a eunuch. He has no interest in girls. |

It was so great to see the older sister break free from that sort of negative thinking and become more positive. :) Sometimes something as simple as a haircut can be freeing like that~. I really enjoyed the past two episodes... and the "moral" of them, actually. l happyhellhound said: the word thing was a cool idea but it did have the nagging "moral of the story" feel to it o.o oh well~ Just my opinion, obviously, but it didn't seem like "nagging" to me... I thought it was communicated pretty effectively but not in an annoying way or anything. Or maybe I can think that because I was enjoying the "message" since most people can relate to it... Anyway, great episode in my opinion. 5/5 material, regardless of animation, I think~. :D |
| Loved this episode. Yuuko did some freaky magic tricks this episode. Disappearing and then popping out of nowhere in the cafe. Some pretty good laugh in there, too. The preview looks really good, as well. It seems were going to get deeper into the story, but, focusing more on the 'Pipe fox'. Looking forward to the next! |

| words: the ties that bind.........definitely could relate to this one from having a controlling younger sibling who was always telling me i was weaker and unable to do things right, normal, etc.....and after awhile, one sometimes begins to believe these things if they don't have a strong spirit.....took me years to break away.........also loved yuko-san in this episode - she was so loving and maternal when she saved the girl from her sister's word-magic........another great episode, of course!!! always love to see what yuko is wearing next!!! |

| I really enjoyed the story, because the truth behind it shows that words are really powerful and can make everything change for best or for worst. Yuuko's words are wise and we must be careful with these chains we can control; simply a wonderful episode!! |

| There is only one chain that people have the ability to control . Why are they staying? He is on the posters in the background. Words are the one chain people can control. Once they escape, they cannot be returned. Words are alive and their power can set the course of a person’s future. A waves ripple like the circles of a target. She is chained down by her own words. All of her self doubt and hatred is manifested into existence by her vocalizing it. I don’t think she’s laughed one time, odd assumption. He is such a wingman for his hot friend who doesn’t need his help. I don’t think I’ve seen the favor returned. Chains don’t just buy people they connect and link them as well. He’s gotta get out of here. Can’t he at least return the favor by giving him one second. She had a ritual to convince herself she would fail. Makes her change her whole motto. Something is a foot with her fingers. Her sister‘s words are bringing her down as well. She is so rude. where are they going to stop her? finally. If you enjoy being under someone’s thumb, there is no harm in being tied down by the limitations, they place on you. ?. She wants to change. She traded her hair for a new life.
