Mitsuya is definitely trying to improve sales through her strategy and work ethic. I respect it. She declines the transfer and looks like she also gained more confidence this episode.

I think this was a character growth for Mitsuya. She managed to make a decision from her viewpoint and is trying to prove herself.

Oh no, a challenger approaches, another person who understands the true quality of Mitsuya's cake, and he brings gifts to lure our heroine away. They even gave the new guy a chad VA.

Also, i know this like the sixth episode already, but what is this company ? A patisserie company ? lol.

Yui and her daily troubles or more like her struggle with her work.
Things worked out in the end but it took a while before she found her drive again.
The couple is doing well.

Anime has made me so cynical of the Japanese business industry, I spent the whole episode waiting for Kiribayashi to sexually harass Yui or ask for some sexual quid pro quo.

Sincerely felt really bad for Yui looking so ashamed at her slip-up, but it made the way she lit up again after spending just a little time with Masugu that much sweeter. What they have is way more sugary than any of the snacks at their company.

I am glad Yui decided to stay on her own apartment to keep developing her own brand and at the same time getting help from other places

It's good to see her getting stronger. I'm more than ready to immediately blame the author for creating weak female character that clinging to male character all the time, but at least she's getting stronger, though she's still clinging to her boyfriend LOL

I’m so proud of Yui making her choice to stay in the planning department AND try to get her sweets project off the ground! It’s scary and going to be difficult, but if it’s scary, that means you need to do it to grow. It’s crazy how we’re looking at one of the best ever romances and no one licensed this!!

The pessimist in me was so scared that Kiribayashi was gonna try and sleep with Yui or be inappropriate, but nope. Genuinely just thought she was brilliant and wanted her in the new department. This whole show is so damn healthy, even their company wants to see the characters growing as individuals. That’s essential for a productive workplace and growing as a company.

The way I smiled so fucking hard when Masugu refused to give Yui a direction. He just wanted her to make the choice on her own and to be happy with it. That’s soo fucking healthy man ahh I love them sm I literally geek out every week watching this because they say and do all the right things.

“People might call me selfish. But what I really want is to take on my own projects!” This is what all Japanese salarymen/women need to hear and learn to say. Yui sticking up for herself and staying true to her goals is so good. And look what happened! It made the manager appreciate her more as an individual and she gets to learn from the business group to improve her sweets project! Win-win for everyone.

Also, 3 eps in a row with sex now and there’s no big deal made of it, it’s just a normal part of their routine like a normal couple of adults. Love it.

Lol. I'm glad my ears didn't deceive me. I could tell immediately when I heard Director Kiribayashi speak that he had the same voice as the best girl Kaiki.

This guy really shook Yui's whole world there. Her indecisiveness in changing departments made her sloppy and she almost made a big mistake. Thankfully she went right back and rejected the Director's proposal. AND she successfully managed to gain access to some new study materials. Of course, there was no way she was going to change departments as she'd lose her coworker friends and probably become more distant with Masugu but it was still great to see.

I think we're about halfway through the show by now. The biggest surprise of this series to me is that the main character is actually Yui and not Masugu. The first episode and some later episodes made it seem like he was the main character but so far it feels like Yui is the main main character. And honestly, I love it cause she's such an interesting character. This episode was also amazing and I'm really loving this series.

It's so heartwarming to see how Masugu is always there for Yui, supporting her when she's feeling down. This is what a healthy relationship looks like: two people supporting each other through tough times, and in that support, they come out rewarded 😏.

Without a doubt, the best thing about this anime is its maturity: it tackles topics that at a younger age I would have thought weren't a big deal but now I can totally relate. This story is a breath of fresh air amidst all the high school romcoms out there!

Best episode so far. Still super sweet and wholesome, but even more mature and a bit motivating. Also, a romance with no super dense, annoying MC in sight! This series definitely deserves more attention.
Although it makes me feel lonely, I can cope since I get to smile and laugh 20 mins straight like a b@stard 😳😳

Yui really went through a lot this week, didn't she?
Like others have said, I really appreciate that we get to see our couple deal with real adult problems and handle them like, well, adults.
I thought it was especially nice that Masugu was supportive of Yui without being overbearing, and reminding her that in the end, she needs to make her own decisions about the direction of her life and career. He can't make her choices for her, but he'll always be there to support her in whatever she chooses to do.

Sometimes all we need when we're struggling is someone to get us out of our own head for a while, and Masugu was so sweet in doing that for her.
He deserves the Best Boyfriend award, for sure! ♡

And under a lot of different pressures, I loved seeing Yui speak up for herself in the end, and finally take concrete steps towards the future she wants.
Being a certified super nervous/shy girl myself, especially in professional situations, I relate so hard to her worries and anxieties, and to how much courage it took for her to face her true feelings.
Being honest with yourself and others about what you want for yourself can be seriously scary, but it's worth it!

Also, shoutout to Shinichiro Miki for making Kiribayashi sound properly corporate-intimidating~ With such a unique voice, it's always great to hear him, even in guest roles!

Here are the Yui pics for this week:

I'm okay now... At least... I want to be able to say that.

She came to him.
They had sex.
He didn't do anything to help her.
She still thanked him :D
This guy is genius!

I hate it when anime/manga that I enjoyed ends, especially when there could be much longer plot and when I love main heroine :P

I wish I had magic glasses that let me see real world in anime colors ;)

Although I too thought Kiribayashi was a little sus in the beginning, he did give Yui the opportunity to start seeing things from a different perspective. The stiff style of management in her department not only dampened her growth, but also gave her self doubt.

There is no primary lead in this show; both Masugu and Yui take turns, with the other being primary support.

This is supposed to be a Comedy, Romance anime.

Honestly, I'm NOT laughing & the only romance I see is either very slight occurrences or them shagging every now & then.
