Oh yeah, I remember this anime adaptation often has kidnapping involved even in this one. Not going to lie, I hope they make Peepi look better. Her emotional state and tears are just all over the place since the start. This episode just continues on with Köinzell and the shit he's been dealing this season. Revenge is still no doubt on his mind. |

I feel like voice acting should be improved, and I rarely criticize about voice acting in any anime. I hate how Köinzell is destined to be tragic hero, like for every one ally he gain, one hundred more will become his enemies. I mean, I know that he doesn't care what people think of him since it's not related to his revenge objective, but Köinzell deserve better than this, especially in his second life after his first one end tragically. |

Hello I'm gonna say each week what they skipped (I'm not saying anything bad or trying to be negative just info) They adapted 6 chapter (in the first 2 minutes they adapted 1 chapter)(if counting volume 0 there on 25 chapter if not on start of 22) The changes: they skipped a page on how he cuts through soldiers, 2 pages on Fargo saying they will find a new village, a page where the bald guy says the fighting is over, half a page of people saying there were bandits, a page where the pink haired guy says he has to do something with Centurion, a sex scene between Kolnzell and the woman not peppi(5 pages),also when the woman says she got the tent for free, a small flashback, when kolnzell left the tent they skipped the page where it showed what was in the tent,Peppi is more sad in the manga,no hate but in the anime peppi looks horribly drewn, skipped the line mommy and daddy will finish him, half a page of Fargo thinking about Kolnzell, a cool art scene they didn't adapt, The guy who is with Aht talked about Kolnzell power like a page and what happened in volue 0, half a page where Kolnzell says we will mourn them later,Fargo being an asshole, 5 incredible panels= Kolnzell thanks Fargo cause because of him he remembers dispair and the betrayal of his so called friends other pages are saying how they escapes without punishments,Half a chapter of them escaping from the village(they were being attacked), 2 pages where Aht said next time don't grope me, a page where Kolnzell says his revenge is a long stroy to tell, when peppi huged the sex girl 2 more scenes, Dialogues changes too . |

So any reason why Köinzell didn't just merc Fargo right then and there and instead just let him run his mouth? phantomfandom said: I feel like voice acting should be improved, and I rarely criticize about voice acting in any anime. This whole series has the worst production possible. After this last episode I think I'm done. Watching a 23 minute slideshow with tilting and panning to convey motion is pathetic. Anyone here familiar with the animation loops you find online where someone takes an image and uses a program to animate the hair moving or the eyes opening and closing??? How is this series any different from that? I swear practically all the animation in this episode reminded me of those image loops. |

All the explicit ecchi that got cut in this episode (just like in the previous ones, total censorship on ecchi and not on gore [though it doesn't matter with an almost static animation]) is insane. Anyway, here's the tip: reading the manga is way better. |

Muzan2020 said: This episode is disappointing ngl, i love how he always leave the enemy behind so they can pull a prank on him later that may cost other people's lives. Plus some scene ended up cringe bc they didnt care to elaborate like how am i supposed to care if i didnt even know what happened. Yes, in a nutshell, it’s just stupid. Every decision made by the characters feels stupid (for lack of a better word). Pipi screaming, "Why are you doing evil things to us?" after already experiencing multiple terrible situations felt like such an obvious ploy to make the villains seem even more evil. Koinzell is supposedly desperate for revenge, yet when it’s time to act, he fumbles around, leaving bad guys alive and fully capable of committing more atrocities. The show tries too hard to be mysterious, but in reality, it’s just a mess of loose threads. |

man, there is so much potential for this anime, though it's stained with horrible writing. this is a problem with good shows, a couple inconsistancies and it's overall vibe goes down by a lot. first, the MC showed us how powerful he is with the black swords cutting the villain's arm in an instant, however he takes a minute or two to decide to kill him. even when he's about to swing again, villagers come, and he waits around for 20 filler seconds for no reason, all because "the plot wanted that to happen" when he could've killed the guy and easily had enough time to escape. same thing with that dumb elder, having a clear witness who had their new family killed and not trusting her. she has no reason to lie about that, especially when the villain himself promised them a village. it's so disappointing when decent shows pull this kind of lame writing behavior, it just belittles the anime and achieves nothing else. the stupidity of this show is going up and up each episode. i had high hopes for this anime. |

Wow, this felt almost as disjointed as last week's episode. Stuff is just happening and they're jumping between scenes without any real explanation. The fight with Weid and Aht fighting the monsters was resolved with a mcguffin out of nowhere. The action scenes are still just slide shows. I don't even care about the sexual content being cut because I'm not here for that, but the sorry needs work. The scene with Koinzel coming out of nowhere to save Peepi was so cliche, plus Koinzel dismantling Fargo with no effort completely takes the air out of introducing him as the villain. I also don't like the Aht already forgave Koinzel for murdering her brother, after just one episode. I know this is a manga from twenty years ago, but this adaptation feels like it came from the same era. It's a low budget rush job and I don't see myself watching this much longer if it keeps up like this. |

Episode 4. Ubel SPLATT A lot of dudes goes splat in this episode. The scene from last episode where Koinzell slashed a bunch of dudes continues and a purple haired guy named Fargo shows up and says they're bandits and promises some kind of meeting... Geranpen helped release some other elf girls and it was funny when they didn't thank him because how scary he looks. Looks play a pretty big role then as Fargo quickly betrays his promise and uses some undead magic to create zombies to fight them and then tries to murder the elf family we just met thru the flashback. Well it didn't work well as storytelling but at least it makes you hate Lord Fargo, who Koinzell then slashed his arm off. Nice. But then the villagers mistook Koinzell as the villain because his badass form looked 'monstrous' to them and they protected Fargo. Sigh. It was hilarious how long Effi lay in bed soundly sleeping as her family members were slashed, then slowly woke up after Peepi been screaming for a while. It also took painfully long for Koinzell to reach them, then he didn't finish off Fargo for some reason. Hopefully he doesn't last more than one more episode. Unless he's a major villain then okay, but he seems kind of pathetic. The story is not really good and the animation is mostly a joke. At least it seems to have some interesting characters. They're flat, the characters but at least interesting. And all the elf "Demi human" characters are beautiful. Now Aht is sobbing and apologizing to Koinzell for some reason, there seems to be a lot of forced emotion. If the animation of this show was better, and if it actually relaxed on the blood-gushing violence and had some fun for more than 30 seconds it would be way better as a fantasy anime. 4/5 |

@V1P3R0P You have to turn Closed Caption on. It's sort of a logical way to have subtitles on the same player as for movies, but annoying to have to change it back and forth if you then go to watch a movie next- the subtitles will stay on. |

@EcchiGodMamster Just re-read the manga. Refresh your memory a bit. And tell me if you think the random sex scenes at the beginning make sense. |

The amount of cope you show for this anime makes me think you are actually an employee of Satelight.

@JoeChip It's not cope, just an analysis. You can see a pattern, example episode 1: censorship & bad animation. Ep2: great voice acting and animation. Ep3: slideshow nothing happens Ep4: great animation censorship removed (gore). It's obviously plain to see that they are responding to feedback and improving the show. And before you tell me they can't do that, ask AI, it's 2025. |

@BanryuTV i don't give a shit about "makes sense", thats the power of fiction..... the only thing i care about is that i HATE censorship.... |

Ok Seeing all these comments about the manga, yea ngl I was surprised to read that they're suppose to have sex with that tent clip. I'm clearly an anime only here, and ngl in my opinion, I feel like its good that the anime didn't show it. Maybe we're missing a lot from the manga, but so far what the anime shown, i feel like these two characters don't have any connection to each other at all, it would feel weird seeing them have sex. Ik its kinda a common theme with dark edgy revenge stories to also have sex and nudity in them, but imo i feel like with Ubell Blatt, it wouldn't add anything. Again I could be wrong cus I have not read the manga. But I have to ask out of genuine curiosity, for the people who are upset that they didn't show it, are you upset because these intimate/sex scene provide a major context to the mc's characterization and or to the story? Or you upset because you didn't get to see the MC have sex at all. |

This anime makes no fucking sense from a plot or pacing point, I'm out. Thought it was gonna be like bastard minus the goofy bits, but this is trash. |

@nxneil13 Imagine thinking the only reason people don'T like the anime because it removed sex scenes. The cope is real. |
