If you aren't engaged by now you never will be and should drop it. I loved the show from the first episode but character dramas aren't for everyone sadly.

Well. Then it's not for you maybe?

It would help if you'd explain WHAT exactly isn't happening, for you?^^

Far as I remember it's true: There's no fight-scene, no explosions or crazy twists, but a lot of emotional/dramatic moments, no? That's what this Show is about.

As you said, it's a slowburn. Mellow themes. Overcoming hardships and finding your own place in the world. Isn't that interesting? :)
What about the fantastic soundtrack? Didn't you tear up in some Episodes? o.O

Cmon dude !

i say this is not for everyone because the points of this anime is how the main character ( i forget the name ) and another character live in their world and and keep growing each day . i don't really remember big drama in season 1 but the 2 season is where the drama start to be spicy

i like it and i think ITS really worth it but honestly i get it because i also had a hard time finish the 1 season too, try to keep it hold and try to finish it because you already in eps 22 and maybe take a brake for the season 2 1-3 week or else you get to feed up because its really slow in the start to ( idk if i wrong last time i watch ITS 2 year ago ) but yeah if you cant ITS ok sometimes what you need is just drop it and came back again in future .

i do that to vivy i remember and yeah now ITS my favorit sometimes ITS just not worth to force because its make you hoping the show to finish ass soon as possible rather than focuss on the story and ITS just waste of time

It actually picks up strongly on the 2nd season. Contrary to what others have said, I suggest giving a few more episodes and seeing if you'll still push with it or not.

took the words right out of my mouth. personally I think it's one of the best I've ever seen but it's not everyone's cup of tea, just like battle shounen is a genre I consider at the bottom of the ranking

If you have watched 22 episodes, then that means you completed the season.

Here is a great suggestion: Don't watch 2nd season if you didn't like those.

If this was for you, you would have liked it from the first few episodes.

March at best, I would say develops after episode 5. If you are at EP 22 and you don't like the show, you don't like the show. Frankly, most shows the first episode is enough. March might be my second favourite anime of all time, however, I am going to tell you to not bother with S2.

I’m kind of interested that you aren’t liking it since violet evergarden is one of your favorites so clearly you aren’t only an action junkie. (And before anyone jumps down my throat there isn’t anything wrong with liking or disliking shonen battle anime)

I love this show . It depicts depression and overcoming childhood trauma and loss in such a moving and realistic way.

It is not a show that I think is a good binge though.

I would also say season 2 does move a bit faster. As someone above said- finish season 1 and then give it a several week rest. I hope you will enjoy it when you come back. Was a very rewarding show for me.

22 episodes in and you dont like it then it's not for you. It's a slow burn for sure but towards the midway of both seasons it gets better and you start understanding the characters more intimately

Don't listen to that Killjoy above, they don't know what they're talking about.

Lots of people love the show because of the bully chapters at the beginning of the 2nd season, especially the 4th episode.

I also found this one incredibly difficult to finish. I ended up watching the last few episodes in 2x speed. I absolutely love character studies and drama, but literally nothing ever happens in this one. It just felt like an endless cycle of the MC feeling sorry for himself and incredibly boring Shogi matches that lasted way too long.

If you don’t like it, I think you should spend your time watching something that you will enjoy.

I don’t think disliking this show means you don’t like drama or slow burns, this one is just deadly boring. Some of my favorite movies are incredibly slow character study dramas that rely 90% on dialogue, but nothing remotely interesting ever happened in this. The drama is so melodramatic and the shogi is just not interesting imo.

And dude, the comedic relief stuff was so out of place and poorly handled. If it wanted to be a drama then it should’ve stuck to that.

Noone said that, tho^^

You can dislike the Show, but 3-gatsu IS dramatic. It IS a slowburn. These are just facts.

That's what I was saying: If you dislike the "melodrama", the Shogi and/or emotional dialogue then....it's just not for you. It's just preference at this point. Has nothing to do with it beeing not interesting. Cause if you like Slice of Life and if you like Drama 3-Gatsu is as good as it gets.

If you like Slice of life or Shogi, for that matter, it's not boring. It's what you came to see^^ It IS interesting, but if you're going in, expecting less talking, fast pace and less Shogi (for whatever reason) you won't see it, of course.

90% Dialogue is what you want. An incredible slow character study is what makes it good.

I kinda get the comic relief stuff.
But then again ...if the comedy in this is this much of a bother, I guess you're having problems with 70% of Shows out there.

I get you, maybe my issue with the show is the slice of life aspect.

I love slow burns and dialogue but this one didn’t do it for me. I also really disliked all the comedy and shogi matches, I’m just not interested in strategic game tournaments.

I’ll maybe give S2 a go sometime bc ppl who disliked S1 said it picks up big time, but it’s certainly not on my to do list. I wish I could’ve loved it!

It is worth persisting through slower and painful parts. But don't watch if it bores or depresses you. You can come back later. March Comes in Like a Lion can wait.

I found season one pretty draging at some points, I did really like it all the way through tho. Season two however is simply magic, I really can’t describe it any other way. I’d keep watching but go where your heart leads you man
