It doesn't look like the atmosphere will get any better, Mutsumi who is drowning in darkness looks even more worrying and now Sakiko has also started to feel that something is wrong with Ave Mujica. I doubt there will be a disbandment of the band considering the title of this anime series.

What makes me curious is who will save Ave Mujica and how or maybe they will realize and solve their own band's problems. I really miss Tomori, her nature and innocence could save Ave Mujica, as well as Sakiko

no other member in Ave Mujica notice that character of Mortis replaces Mutsumi until she declare that she couldn't play the guitar? So ridiculous!

Well, thanks to Gigguk's stream of MyGo!!!!! and then yesterday streaming this, I am definitely hooked. Practically watched these 4 episodes twice, as there was a lot to take emotionally. This show is amazing, I kind of wish I'd have heard of it AFTER it was over, so that I don't have to wait an entire week for DEPRESSION for the next few weeks.

I'm guessing that Mortis, even though she can't play the guitar - will be able to sing like Mutsumi always wanted to but couldn't. The band will "disband" in the sense it'll be "reborn" with her at the center, like maybe Uika can't compensate for Mutsumi's guitar because she also has to sing, but if they change roles she can manage.
That could give the band a small lifeline until the next drama that'll threaten everything.

I'm so impressed by how accurately they're portraying dissociative identity disorder. I don't think people realize that 100 percent of what we've seen so far is. realistic. It's fiction, but it's a form of real experience that most people don't get to see.

100% agree. A lot of animes use tons of stereotypes when portraying DID and you rarely see one who doesnt have a psychopathic killer alter.
@skyjirai @andousweets

Yes, they are doing this incredibly well. The setup in previous episodes was great.

This series is heavy. Just so much negativity, in general. I'm enjoying it, but it is very dark in a sense.
Sakiko and Mutsumi were struggling, and are generally in a breakdown

Now we see Umiri and Nyaamu also have some struggles behind the scenes, and I kinda hope they're not also going to break them, because that would be a bit much.

I am so interested to see in how they want to continue this. Sakiko needs to grow up a lot, but having to basically parent your dad, and be the responsible adult arranging anything messes children up incredibly. Still, she's so used to doing everything by herself, being unable to rely on anyone, that it's turning her selfish. It makes sense she feels like she can't turn to anyone, but it's gonna be the end of her, she can't keep this up. She will end up alone like that.

Mutsumi/Mortis. It makes so much sense that Mortis hates Saki, despite Mutsumi loving her. Mutsumi loving Saki has caused her so much pain, and Mortis, who exists to protect Mutsumi hates that. She won't hurt Saki for Mutsumi's sake though. Everything she does is for Mutsumi, in a way, except that it's not letting Mutsumi experience much of anything. The scream at the end was insane. Mutsumi having DID gives us some more insight in her past too. While her parents have definitely shown signs of neglect and a bit of narcissism too, I don't think neglect alone is enough trauma for DID? I'm no expert, so maybe it is, but I thought it had to be repeated severe trauma. (Just looked it up, about 90% has severe childhood abuse and neglect). So possible abuse in her past as well.

Umiri looking for a place she belongs suggest she feels lonely. She is very cold and stand-offish, matter-of-fact whenever she's talking to people, so it makes sense. (Not that even people who seem cold are always lonely, I've been told I look cold myself too xD)

Nyaamu actually got some respect from me this episode. I still generally dislike her for her impulsiveness, lack of tacking direction, always wanting to be the main character etc. She a really good portrayal of a stereotype influencer who will do anything to get famous, and I don't like those type of characters/people. BUT she did show she genuinely really cares about the audience. She wants to give them a good performance, she understands fans feeling, something I feel most of the others (especially Sakiko, but Mutsumi, and in lesser sense Umiri and Uika as well) don't really think about that much. They're thinking about what THEY want to do in the band, while Nyaamu tries to think of what the fans want.
Personally I think a balance is best. You need to have a direction and follow it, while trying to give the fans what they want. You can't always just do what the fans want, they all have different opinions and it will turn into a mess. We can see that with some tv shows (Riverdale is a big one)
I do love the Hakata dialect so much. Kyuushu dialect in general is one of my favourites.

Uika is not really doing much at this point. Her and Saki are cute together, but she's just there as a Saki support/housemate at this point. She's just kinda there. I get she's in two major bands at once and very busy, but still, she's not doing that much in recent episodes. It's weird she didn't notice anything off about Mutsumi, since they were together in CHYCHIC before. Or well, I think she noticed, but didn't think it was weird...still after that much time? I thought it was weird.

I'm not the type to hate on characters but dang a lata that the purple one has to be acting like that?? Like this isn't all her fault for taking everyone's masks when she pleased in the first place lmao

2 bust-ups in 1 episode (perhaps a span of one month here), but IRL that usually means a band isn't gonna last that long. At this point, this is so frustrating to watch, I'm just saying break up already. Sakiko, say your family fell apart and are poor now...who cares what people think (most people will sympathize)!

No, I've seen it. Could be a dream Mortis shows Mutsumi. Also, the previews that follow don't tell much.

Bushiroad won't have an Ave Musica disband and no longer be featured from their lineup of established BanGDream bands.

it'll probably be a happy end to the series, but again if it was a another band in real life...

True, I'm also wondering if that's the case. I'm not even sure if other scenes actually happened the way they are shown.

I don't think their disbandment could last more than a couple of episodes. Maybe they'll reform and bring back the masks.

I've liked the show so far, but I want to see them start building some resolutions to problems, though that might have to wait until the latter half. I also suspect there's going to be some new twist to explain why this season has been so strange with its direction. Something like that could make or break the show, so I hope they've thought it through.

I didn't expect Mortis to freak out so early. Well I sort of forgive Sakiko a little more, because Nyamu exists.

Nyamu is speaking in her native dialect of Kumamoto, in the scene where she calls her mother.
I don't know where the voice actress, YONEZAWA Akane, is from, but she did a good job, besides being a little too dramatic.
I looked at the staff roll because I thought that there must be a dialect supervisor. OGATA Kouki was in charge of the role; he is the music producer at Bushiroad Music.

wow... where's the horror tag? Please, bring back Mutsumi. This is Mortis, not Mutsumi.
Ave Mujica's situation was getting worse and worse with each episode, and this time, they gonna disband for real?

Where's Kasumi? we really need her therapy.
@AkeZZZ We need Kokoro too
