They made that mission to collect 10k Demon Souls sounded hard on paper at first. But this is Shun and his skills has obviously improved since the previous season.

Cha Hae-In got more screen time although I still feel underwhelmed so far by her presence. I'm expecting more difficult missions being set up this season.

Don’t exactly recall when exactly what happened at this point, but yeah, I know who that man speaking in engrish was. Not sure though, if he actually made an appearance this early, but yeah it was cool to see him. “I want to go home”, yeah sir you would.. soon enough. Leaving that, I like how we’re back to “solo-levelling” stuff the moment the red gate thing ended lol. Demon castle had a pretty cool and somewhat fitting of a name design as well. Though yeah, the actual stuff actually starts at upper floors, I mean Jinwoo clean-sweeped the lower ones lol.

They are actually very very consistent with the animation quality this season, and yeah it shows, in almost every other fight. Liked how it wasn’t just a walk in the park for Jinwoo this time, I mean it is fun only when he gets a bit overwhelmed as well, right? Though he got only a bit lol. Leaving this aside, I’m actually pretty glad to see Hwang Dongsoo getting his ass kicked. He'll get all his dues in due time, but yeah, for now, I think that’s kinda enough. Btw yeah, good to see Jinwoo realizing and leaving when it looked the task was too uphill. He'd return tho.

Gotta feel bad for Jinho, I mean, poor dude's getting cucked by the shadow army on his last mission with Jinwoo xD That aside though, these two have really formed that brotherly bond in the short time they were together thanks to the raids as Jinho said. It's no suprise that he and his dad would want to get Jinwoo to join his guild.

But yeah, missed seeing best girl Haein, she's just as thick, I mean, beautiful as she was last season. Not but fr, I don't even remember that being in the manhwa... not complaining though( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Some weird cuts this episode ngl. I mean, the transitioning between the out of nowhere Haein thing, the whole thing going on with Dongsoo and... yes, Jinwoo's DAD JUST FUCKING THE DUDE AND HIS PLACE UP LMAOOOOO. About time he got dealt with.

But yeah, Jinwoo cleared that thing out like it was nothing, just one of the many thing's that'll show strong he's really gotten since last season.

FINALLY CHA HAE IN SCREENTIME. Been waiting to learn more about her for a year now, webtoon readers have hyped her sm and I love her design. We still only getting crumbs man when is she gonna shine 😭

OH SHIT SO JINWOO’S DAD IS ALIVE?!! People been hyping SL for years and I’ve never heard anyone ever mention his dad being around or being this OP so that was quite the fucking twist. Hwang talked all that shit about killing Jinwoo and he couldn’t even get past his old man lmaooo. This man survived 10 years in a gate and you think you just gonna beat his ass and shit talk his family cmon now. Clearly some of these hunters need more points in their IQ stats. Wish we could’ve seen their fight instead of off screening it for Jinwoo’s tower farm tho, that would’ve been far more interesting.

Finally getting somewhere with the actual story as well. Something greater than the gates and standard monsters is coming.. but what and what did Jinwoo dad learn in there?

This was RUSHED. Like at this point

it seems. They are cutting out a lot of stuff. Pacing is getting faster than normal. This is worse than s1 unfortunately. If this current pace keeps up, season 3 will be the end of the manhwa (considering it's 60~ chaps per season)

Not as intense as Ep 1 and 2, but good and continues to evolve the storyline. I guess I'm a little curious as to where the storyline is going. J-W is already incredibly strong. Because he has such a wide range of skills that are unknown to regular hunters, he's arguably already beyond S-rank. Seems like he's already capable of handling anything inside any typical gate. I guess the evolution will eventually be Jeju island and then the event his father mentioned.

Side note - Since J-W's father was in gate-world for 10 years, its apparently possible to find food in there. Maybe also confirmed by the red gate event? However, it appears that in the quest-world, there is no food to be foraged?

Actually in this episode.... nothing significant was left out....
Ik it felt rushed but the only thing they left out was the scene with the white tiger guild head getting a call about Ants transformation on jeju island....which they have already covered in S1...
Plus.... conversations were cut short...which ig is ok as it's a anime version....there will be some differences...ig

They really aren’t cutting a lot of stuff at all lol. You need to go reread, plus they added a scene there. I won’t deny they cut some parts but it’s like 2 panels from 5 chapters… You know how little that is? Plus I do believe they made this fast as it is the slowest part of the season.

However this is the weakest episode in pacing wise, better than S1 btw still.

They actually had a big problem in this episode especially at the end, where they literally knew it was so fast that they made sung jinwoo literally explain to the watcher the items he got. I dislike how the pacing was this episode but it isn’t worse than S1 imo.

But I can give this part some slack because they want to move on fast with this since they literally need 3 episodes for the next demon castle part and 4 episodes for jeju island. So they sacrificed unfortunately this part but in the best way they could.

It's all part of the big game....think about it....who is controlling the system?...who made it? and why?....I don't want to ruin your anime experience but I can say that like Jinwoo is the Shadow Monarch..... similar to that....there are other monarchs as well....
There are rulers...who are not monarchs.....and its all a small part of their battles....as there is a fight between RULERS VS MONARCHS....
Why are they fighting???....They were just made by the God of our universe....THE ABSOLUTE BEING....(The statue u see at the start in the double dungeon).....He just wanted to have fun watching them fight ....And at last there are God's of other universes as well....but let's not go too far...

Great episode once again.Jinho's scene with the shadow soldiers was pretty funny.This episode once again showed how much he is close to Jin-woo whom he considers his own brother,not his real brother.Jin-woo also cares for him.

We got an anime original scene of Cha Hae-in where she was thinking about Jeju Island ants getting wings,it was nice to see her once again.

Also Jin-woo's father made an appearance through a Gate.His strong enough to utterly thrash Hwang Dongsoo.Pretty funny to see him getting his punishment.

Also Jin-woo has become stronger through leveling up.He has reached Floor 75 till now.Can't wait to see what happens next.Full 5/5 episode.

So this episode will be the weakest of this season and that’s saying something because it was still good. To summarise for people who don’t like to read much, my criticism for this: feels too rushed and fast paced.

They did remove the Baek talk about red gate incident with the news, but I suppose they removed it as it was done to lead to him to talk about jeju island which they covered in S1. So the people thinking they removed a lot, they cleverly put events in different order.

Now what they actually removed? Well after sung defeats vulcan/was fighting him as well, his army did help here and there, while also iron took his head off to deliver to jinwoo for comedic purposes. Do I dislike that? Not as much as the other thing I disliked the most about this episode.

When the preview came out and it was confirmed it will cover the whole demon castle part 1, I got anxious. Why? There’s dialogue or to be exact moments that should in theory be given time for the viewer/watcher/us to read and understand like the items he acquired and let’s say how Jinwoo would feel after gaining these items. These were removed… It’s like 2 panels at most from 5 chapters, it is impressive they covered all that in one episode without technically removing anything but it’s still bad because why would you do this, only for you to just make an exposition dump in the last 2 minutes about what Jinwoo took? Like it made the pacing feel soo off for anyone watching this.

Now does this worry me? Yes, because next episodes cover one of my favourite parts and it involves zero fighting. The interactions should be fire with the dialogue but if they have no patience for some you know giving time to the watcher to understand without telling them, I don’t know.

I still understand why the pacing is this way because they are literally covering two big fights this season, demon castle part 2 arc (I expect 3 episodes) and jeju island fight (I expect 4 episodes). But I would prefer them to add an extra episode and make it 14 to make the pacing better than sacrificing a full part/episode for it.

An extra fear I have, if it’s 5 chapters per episode then ironically I am afraid for the jeju island arc lol. They could actually do it in 2 episodes and make the other 2 the epilogue part of it which would actually make me pissed off more than anything.

Extra: I also had hope they would add scenes for the fight between Sung Ilhwan and Dong soo but I am disappointed to say nope, and they actually removed some interactions between them, when I looked it up. Like please don’t rush the dialogue again especially in the next episode

@AMBITZZ This is NOT rushed pacing, the first season was terrible because the pacing was too slow and filled with filler, the pacing of season 2 is much better and is much more aligned with the webtoon. The webtoon might have 190+ chapters but overall the story is pretty short.

The only thing that I don't remember is Jinwoo's dad meeting Hwang, it feels too soon but at the same time season 1 slowed the pacing of the story so much, so for me it just feels a little odd.

Regardless, this second season is miles better than the first season, like the ending of season 1, should have literally been the half-way point of season 1.

There's also the pressing issue that Crunchyroll might not exist in 5 years time and be changed and morphed into something else.

OK, this ep was nice and great ...but i have to say some things... first of all, They show Cha hae In is spending her time in pool... This scene was not even in Manhwa [and yeah i have read SL manhwa especially this phase in manhwa 3-4 times ]but i would honestly say its good since She's the best girl and yeah i have no reason to be sad ..

but the thing that makes me a little sad is This ep was very rushed and not only it is rushed , but they are also cutting so many scenes that are present in manhwa , and yeah they literally animated almost 5 chapters...[56 to 60 and half chapter of 61 which is like almost 5 and the half chapters]...

But as long as they maintaining the high consistency and not interrupting the main story not too much , there shouldn't be that much problems ...

Jinwoo's father is here and he looks feral. Hwang's luck finally ran out, got one shot by Il-Hwan like a true scrub. He also dropped some lore hints.

Jin-Ho had one job and it also got taken away lol. Nice anime original scene with Cha Hae-In swimsuit fanservice. Always nice to have more of her but catches me offguard everytime as her involvement in the manwha is later. Jinwoo progressed quite far this time. Pretty much just buildup this episode.

I'm someone who decided to watch the summary video of this arc on YT and compared to that, this was horribly rushed !! The main battle of Jinwoo vs Demon boss at level 50 and and then at level 75 was only shown for the ending part where Jinwoo wins and then the all 20 dungeons done in a flash minute !

Bruh the fight in 75th floor didn’t happen either in manhwa or novel. They did 50th fight. The fights aren’t rushed or were the problem lol. The problem is the moments in between or dialogue doesn’t give moments for the watcher to understand. Plus I think the biggest problem I had here was Sung Ilhwan and Dong soo was adapted so poorly imo

Ok so it seems we got Jinwoo's dad back? And he seems to have a lot more knowledge than the other normal hunters right now. He also took care of that Hwang Dongsoo easily. Nice. Also Jinwoo cleared a lot of that tower and seems to have gotten a lot out of it. Still smart leaving it for now since the next floors are a lot harder than he can take right now.

Can't wait to see him return though.
