Reading these comments....do people not know what making a post is for? or are they just upset because you said something they disagree with?

It's really sad how people don't realise what voicing your opinion in a community is. oh so you can't begin a discussion without writing an academic level essay about it? the hell's up with people? if something as innoffensive as this gets you this riled up just go back to your anime caves and never interact with others again jesus christ

but yeah darkness is a pretty one-note character. i'd imagine that'd be a good thing for someone who finds the initial bit funny, but she quickly becomes grating if you don't. big hit or miss. i personally never found the joke funny, so i fall into the latter camp. just makes me pull a little face whenever she goes on about being tortured or whatever haha

She’s difficult to watch. The whole show is mid at best in my opinion. I watched it because so many people rave about how it’s the best isekai and compare everything to it as the gold standard. Megumin’s spinoff was much better. Cringe done well in her story.
Masochist characters have always not been a favourite of mine but Darkness is particularly uncomfortable to watch. She’d be a much better character if they left everything about her the same but cut out her masochism eroticism bit.

Agreed :D

The four mains are all unfunny and cringe.

But among them, Darkness is the worst imo, she was the reason why I dropped this anime long ago.

@Rinrinka I have a rousing suspicion that women simply cannot understand Konosuba.

yeah its not funny but the scenarios they create for her character to be funny are pretty good (ex the first villain getting uncomfortable around her)
