| Another episode, another dream for Uyru although this one actually had more meaning than the usual fanservice ones. We also got the "pretend to be a boyfriend" episode because rom-coms these days needs one of those. Yae continues to display her childish energy but she should probably not drink so much. Fun stuff, although I think Yae had the most fun this episode. |

| They must be starting Yae’s arc now, I mean the very first minute into the episode pretty much tells us. Anyway, getting drunk, acting clingy and then vomiting is a very real thing, but yeah, doing so after just a couple of glasses of beer or maybe a glass of actual alcohol is.. just embarrassing lol. Still those guys who were hitting on Yae when she was drunk but got shut down by a guy who’s actually younger than them was what actual embarrassment looks like. That glasses girl is here, and yeah she’s pretty annoying, for whatever reason. Can’t be a harem without these kinda people anyway, but okay, the bit with Asahi getting overly worked up just because dude wanted some time alone with Yae, and that too for educational purposes, I mean different name, was kinda cute in itself, I guess? Though most importantly, at least things will start happening now. |

Also, we need to stop doing whatever we are doing right now, stop all the arcs and whatever is happening currently ... and from now on just focus the entire show on Mako. I was genuinely surprised by the different name on the license thingy. |

| If Uryu's dream at the start is anything to go by, does Yae/Reiko count as a childhood friend? Also, I kinda wanna see Uryu give Yuna mochi ice cream while on a cat cafe date just to see if it gets her to melt twice as much as her experiencing either of them separately lol |
| Nah Takeda might be the greatest cockblocker in anime history. Turning off Yae phone when Uryu text her is craaaazy ๐ still think it’s some lesbian undertones there, but it seems like she’s protective of this Ichijo Reiko identity Yae has as well. I don’t think it’s a multiple personality thing, likely Yae was adopted and that’s her old name? Surely it has some connection with the vision Uryu had at the start of the episode. One of the big themes in this series has been that red string of fate and it’s featured prominently there. Whatever the result, really glad we got a Yae arc coming up. She’s best girl and this should flesh her character out quite a bit. Of course, even in a Yae arc, Uryu manages to make the girls fall even more in love with him. The Asahi and Yuna scenes were cute. Asahi is way too young to ride this ride, but I love the big brother-little sister moments they have in general. Buying the snacks and asking Yuna if she wanted some rather than making her feel bad about all the shit she wanted to eat was actually really sweet and a great way to handle that irl with how sensitive girls can be about what they eat. |

| Looks like it is time for back story arcs. This time the dream was past rather than future. We are supposed to think the lost girl in the dream is Yae, but they hide the eye colors and she looks a bit more like Uryu's age rather than 2 years older. So I suspect it is Yuna, and I suspect there is more significance to the hanging name question beyond just not identifying her, but then that circles back to Yae. Edit: Never mind, it's Yae. Comparing to young Yae in Ep8 9:26 to 9:38 same hair, same kimono. "That's an awfully specific flaw" Indeed, it is awe inspiring. Uryu sure got the other two girls stewing with the private talk request to Yae. "So, you love all boobs, great and small" Yeah, you got me there, sweetheart. Asahi is so damn cute, grow up safe sweetheart. Maybe I will take you to your senior prom in 3? years. |

I'm going with the Yae was adopted theory. They are all so different, it got me wondering about this
| @Sheol01 They do not look anything alike, but that is not definitive. My two daughters do not look anything alike. Since we have not heard ANYTHING about a father, just the mother who was a priestess, maybe all three were adopted. Note that all three girls are using the Amagami surname, rather than a surname from a father who would have married said daughter/priestess/mother. Is that even a family name, or do they take their surname from the shrine? In that scene with young Yae in Ep8 9:26 to 9:38, the mother figure speaking to Yae does not seem to anything like the priestess/mother we have heard about. |

| Uryu trying his best with a bunch of drunk women lol, and we meet a new character that didn't seem to fond of him. Now we get a twist with a different name on a drivers license. Uryu had some good moment with both Asahi & Yuna, that also made Takeda warm up to him. Now I am even more curious about Reiko. I also wonder about the dream at the start, that hiarstyle was kind of similar to Takeda's. |

| We got a Yae arc on our hands close to the end of the fall season, seems to be a pretty interesting one so far with Uryu’s dream at the start and his discovery of Yae’s ID having a different name on it, my first thought was that she’s using a fake ID but I doubt it’s that lol. One thing is certain tho, and that’s that Yae’s newly introduced childhood friend Takeda isn’t planning on letting Uryu find out what the alternate name means, not sure what exactly is going on there but I’m seeing some good theories in this thread, guess we’ll see what ends up being right. And speaking of Takeda, ngl her first impression was rough lol, just comes right out the gate being an asshole to Uryu, don’t matter what her justification was, you don’t say that to someone you just met lol, but by the end of the episode she seemed to come around on Uryu at least so maybe she just took some ice breaking. But despite this being a Yae arc, both Asahi and Yuna got some fantastic bits in this episode, I like that Uryu managed to say the perfect thing about the creek without fireflies that went with Asahi’s worries so well, the visuals of the moonlight on the water were great there too, makes me really want to put a fishing pole in there lol. And later Yuna’s bit was super sweet, Uryu done went and got her all the ice cream she wanted which got us some great reactions from her, really wholesome but I can see what Uryu is doing here, he’s investing in the future getting her all those sweets lol, maybe there’s more ways to alter the future than we once thought. |

@Marinate1016 watch them all actually not be real sisters but instead a found family of sisters because they all grew up in the same orphanage as him but somehow he cant remember them at all since he has some crazy amnesia....Anything can happen...
| @epicuriandreams There's a pic of the supposed Amagami dad next to little Asahi in one of the panels from the first episodes. He had light hair like Uryu. It could be possible, since we’ve seen him mess with the future (like time travel), that Uryu might actually be the girls’ father... who knows at this point. |

| We see that Uryuu and Yae had met when they were so young. An equal amount of time was spent for all, though it had a bit more for Yae. The superharem plot was abandoned this episode. I wonder still if we will get to meet some prominent students from Uryuu and Yuna's school. Mako's voice sounds familiar. I gotto check. EDIT: Not Frieren's voice but she shares the same seiyuu as Jeanne in 'Why does nobody remember me in this world?' |
| Wait.. what!? This took a turn. That dream of the past looks like Yae, and Yae having a different name (Reiko) made me think she's adopted? She's always been so mysterious from the start.. like she's hiding a lot of things. This became even more interesting! |
| So we know she had some form of depressing past where everything was decided for her. Maybe that lady that wanted her to be a shell, a doll, was her previous mother? I looked into briefly it doesn't seem too hard (harder than USA it seems, but still 92% (or maybe was 70%+) approval rate and only 3000 Yen application (USA is variable but for me was $100+)). Those guys were really scary for me, this episode gave ma scary aura, I hope all goes well. I'm assuming they both remembered each other and Mako doesn't know. |
