Episode goes to show that she is a selfless person, willing to use whatever talents she has to help a friend. Quite crafty too. |

| Fakkk I totally forgot this aired today 😭. Dahliya my beloved he missed you Dahliya and Wolf’s walk around town was so sweet and it makes me so happy seeing her just able to be herself, drink and geek out over magical devices. Total opposite of life with Tobias. Wolf is such an earnest, kind and genuine dude with a little nerdy side to him as well. My question is why tf did no one step in when that one dude tried messing with Dahliya at the stalls lmao. Broad daylight harassing a woman like that is ridiculous. Oh he washes the dishes too? You got a good one, sis, keep him lol. I’m actually glad Wolf and Dahliya are staying friends for now and I hope they continue developing their friendship before going into anything romantic. They have some awesome chemistry, but let it develop organically!! Poor Wolf got girls throwing themselves at him constantly anyway 😂 Speaking of developing, the visualisation of Dahliya making wolf’s fairy glasses was so cool. Reminded me of how Ryza’s alchemy stuff was done in the games and anime Now Tobias finally knows the truth about why his dad and Carlo wanted he and Dahliya married.. hopefully he’ll become a better person now. But I doubt it. If anything this probably makes his insecurity even worse now. He’s like Jonas from Sugar Apple and I just want him off my screen lmao No way Wold actually got a notarised note saying that Dahliya could call him by name lmao. Love this dude. Great episode |

| Instead of a cloak, I don't know why he doesn't just wear a hat with a brim. This should be in the middle of summer, so unless he was traveling on the road, he sticks out like a sore thumb when wearing a cloak. Since this is a medieval-esque setting, unscrupulous dudes like the one who grabbed Dahlia's arm should get their hands chopped off right then and there. I'm disappointed he wasn't skewered by the ice pillar from his anus...but I know this ain't that kind of genre of anime, as it's geared more towards women. Was that scene with Tobi-ass and his (older?) brother supposed to garner sympathy from the audience for him? If so, it did the opposite. I just see Tobi-ass as even more weak, useless, and insufferable than he was before. "Why didn't father tell me" because your father (and brother) knew you were a fucking loser of a son and a retard, which is the reason he asked Carlo for an arranged marriage and not the other way around...that's why, asshole. From the next episode preview, sounds like some action is on the horizon. |

| Wolfred being casual, but also being cautious around Dahlia, though she almost encountered a discerning moment to defend herself with the freezing ring to good effect. The relationship between the two is only mutual now thanks to their weapon and magic interests, majority of it being of noble status against a commoner, and they're perfectly fine being friends for the same rhetoric. That said, it's ironic how Wolfred gets relationships that always ends in tragedy, though his nobility blood and his golden eyes are something that he wishes he wasn't born to begin with, which Dahlia makes for him fairy crystal eyeglasses to help improve his eyesight, though the forging itself doesn't come easy taking up much of her mental ability, but eventually it's still a success that Wolfred wants to commit the same level of commitment towards making Dahlia's dream a reality. Tobias is getting chewed out from his relationship to Emilia, and the karma come back to bite him that Dahlia was the only one who could support him, something out from her late father's mouth. But it's just too late to change anything, so it is what it is. On the other hand, both Dahlia and Wolfred's relationship is certainly sweet, though it's kept on the business level to maintain their distance. For once, I really want to root for Dahlia to become a better magic artificer, it's what she was born for. |

| Hey a new take on contact lenses just glasses that alter perception. Sounded like they also double as sunglasses from how Wolf described the light not too bright. Interesting seeing how Dahliya perceives imbuing the magic into these things I know they are saying they will just be friends but I have a feeling they will get closer in a more romantic way anyway whether they realize it or not. | Out of all the seasonals I'm watching this season, this was the series I was closest to dropping a few weeks ago, but mainly only predicated on one factor, which was the prospective romance and how it appeared at first like it was going to be handled. I basically liked everything else to some degree or another. Tobias was rude and annoying, and his role in the story could get you a little disgusted or exasperated at times, but I think that's in a way a good thing. I wouldn't want it to be every other character all the time (unless this was supposed to be some intense drama series), but some characters like him add just the right amount of drama and some interesting conflict and tension, so I also had no problems with that. My concerns were for what came after. After her loveless arranged marriage engagement and experience with Tobias ended in a fiasco, I was going to be really unimpressed and not amused if she just immediately fell in love with the next handsome guy she encountered and it pivoted to immediate unearned romance with a very generic knight in shining armor-esque guy. That seemed like the direction they were heading and that's why I felt on the verge of dropping. But I'm glad I stuck with it because even within just a few episodes (they do have to move things along as they're not granted the luxury of hundreds of episodes to develop right now anyway, and it's a standard modern short season; plus who knows when or if it'll ever even get any additional seasons after), they managed to convey a more organic gradual relationship building between these two which wasn't based on mindless puppy dog love at first sight of one or the other or both, also conveyed a sense that there was at least a little more to this guy than meets the eye like his insecurities and isolation and he wasn't just a textbook Prince Charming, and in addition to all that, managed to portray both of them as intelligent conscious people who may find each other attractive and like the other's company but are patient, respectful, generous, thoughtful, and open-minded enough to consider the lifestyle situation of the other (and of themselves) and obviously want to still learn more about the other and remain as platonic friends for the time being while bonding over shared interests. Wow! And who knows? (maybe source material readers, but this is a rhetorical question...) Maybe they'll end up remaining as platonic deep friends - the best of friends. Maybe they'll have a sexual relationship but informally and forego any talks of marriage or giving that part of their relationship any public status. Maybe Dahlia is aromantic and asexual, or one of the two. Probably not, but at least there was a level of calm sincerity behind everything portrayed which would make any one of these a believable route were the series to go down it and not feel like a betrayal of character. Since they came across as people, meaning including being people whose views might change over time or could adapt to changing circumstances, rather than as one-note cutouts. Now you can color me impressed on that front and it's a little more depth than I would have given it credit for at a glance. I'm glad I picked this up. And despite the deaths of loved immediate family members, legal disputes over intellectual property rights, the occasional attempted kidnapper and/or rapist (this past episode), and knowledge that there are various different monsters out there in the wild and probably the neverending political conflicts and squabbles between royal and noble families and factions, the show regardless has an indescribably pervasive serene vibe throughout. It's just a little bit different, enough to be noticeable, from any other isekai series I've seen. I'd be interested to know if anyone has ever found something similar to this series out there. The closest I've seen is probably Ascendance of a Bookworm, but that's probably just because of the female protagonist, being isekai, and the theme of inventions, and feels like a lazy comparison. This one still feels calmer somehow, and I don't know what age Dahlia is supposed to be since the character aged up and if it's ever explicitly stated, but maybe it's because she's an adult or closer to it. Very likeable and relaxing, easy character to watch. |

| I'm so disliking the show because of how Tobias is depicted. First, they made him an asshole for some reason all of a sudden. Like, he starts dictating what Dahliya should wear etc. Then he refuses to marry her, although it costs him A LOT, even forced to take a loan. I don't know why this was painted as something outrageous, considering the guy didn't marry her to use her first and then divorce. Not to mention, Dahliya didn't love him either! Then he tries to "steal" ownership of product, albeit arguably he did that due to being genuinely retarded, rather than intentionally evil. And now what is the show trying to say with the reveal of secret? That he should've married her despite loving another? Because it would've financially benefit him??? Are the viewers supposed to feel joy Tobias missed this opportunity? Like, "haha serves you right?" Dunno, it's like the show is trying too hard to make Tobias into some evil, pathetic and retarded at the same time. Like some "hate me" character. Lots of his actions make no sense and Dahliya has only been benefiting from them substantially! It's like Tobias was written purely to be thrown under the bus in order to elevate Dahliya. Dunno, I'm left with such impression. Think it would've been better if Tobias was your average bad guy. |
| The Oswald bit was presented as this heart warming thing, but made a weird turn. Last episode it was revealed that Carlos told Oswald to "get another woman" and showed him his daughter. This episode we find out that the dude took it literally and married 2 girls her age lmao. |

| I'm noticing this show have them eat... A LOT. I heard from Ln readers there's like pages upon pages going on about the food ahahaa. While the anime isn't doing all that; seeing it in the background certainly uhh put this in context at least at the frequency. I didn't think they'd make magically enhancing a pair of glasses this intense lmao |

| Sad to see this Wolf character not loving Dahliya as a woman, but that's okay on its own. The longer to know each other, the better. And since she went through a lot, she needs time to be herself. (and not get scammed again by Tobias) Also, his eyes is actually a thing... never actually thought of it. P.S. Let Tobias be happy with Emilia, so he can never be with Dahliya ever again! |
| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
