I wish the fight was longer. Still, for what it was it was good.

I'm hoping Vorg comes back. I was just starting to really like him.

So this sets up Ippo Vs Sendo for the title belt. I'm assuming that's where the first series will end. Honestly though, I feel like him overcoming Date would be more meaningful than another Sendo fight. He's already beaten the guy, and he isn't as tough as Date or Vorg. Plus, he doesn't have that veteran aura that Date had which'll make it feel less impactful if Ippo gets the title from him.

I kind of like that the writers didn't make it seem like Japan is incapable of bias against fighters from other countries. It holds that if Miata had to win convincingly in Thailand, Vorg needed to win convincingly here. You see this type of shite in international sports a lot.

Holy shit that was an emotional last scene. I liked Volg's character, he has that solemnent look, is an introvert guy and is living and fighting alone in a foreigner country which is always tough. Looks like Ippo is the closest thing to a friend he's ever had. I really hope we can see him back again, probably in the world championship? Not really sure why he should have to drop his gloves and the gyms have really few endurance if they kick a player after only 2 losses (looks like money is involved, even when we haven't seen Ippo or the others get their paycheck, or did we? I don't recall it). He has probably the best skillset out of all the competitors except for Date, yeah I know his stamina and resistence to the hits isn't the best, but still.

And by the way, lol c'mon so the rigging isn't only a matter of our reality but also is a part of this anime? Damnit, let's be real, Volg clearly won that game, that was a homecall from the referees. Sad to see this.

Takamura stealing Aoki's wallet and money was hilarious XD This show never dissapoints in the humourous side.

I really prefer Vorg win
I like Sendo but Vorg have priorities to win more than Sendo
Sendo -> buying kids games
Vorg -> for her mother to back healthy
Also entire arena against Vorg

Aww, I feel bad for Vorg, what an unfair world :(

Sendo became the new featherweight champion, really thought Vorg would win. Really sad to see him leave Japan because of him losing.

Poor Aoki for having his money stolen by Takamura.

Man, this episode was brutal for Vorg. Not that he got beaten badly but the fact that he got played like that. I'm sure Sendou felt bad about it as well.
And then the airport scene. That part gets me everytime, it's heartbreaking. This show is truly something else.

Damn, Volg was robbed of victory 2 times, but this one hit harder.

Volg is one of the most talented boxers out there and his termination due to boxing fans not liking him after he lost twice in a row to absurdly powerful opponents like Ippo and Sendo by a hair shows how cruel the professional boxing field can be.

I've been successful in holding back tears for a lot of moments in this anime but Volg's farewell had me saying "fuck it" so I can cry all I want because it was that sad for me. I wish that they can somehow get in touch with each other soon since it'd be too sad if their saga really ended there...

The unfair ending is sad, but that is what the author wanted to convey to us, that not everything in boxing is always fair and also not in life.

Hope to see him fight again :(

An absolutely brilliant episode, got me in all of my feels. One of the strengths of this series is that you feel for the side characters, all of the rivals, so much. It also evolves the side characters in a way that is transformative and important. At the beginning of the Vorg v. Sendo I was rooting for them both equally, and then I shifted to root for Sendo. If I knew what would happen to Vorg, I'm sure I would have thought differently. It was a twist that made sense, but I didn't see coming. I think that Vorg was a character that people could sympathize with a lot, even back in his battle with Ippo. I hope that we will have a comeback with Vorg, seeing Ippo fight his former rivals seems to be something that is foreshadowed. Not in this series, I don't think they could do that with the fifteen episodes left, but in the sequel. I'm interested to see what they do with the last fifteen episodes.

Ippo with the emotions again.

Poor Volg, even the gifted have to go through unfortunate circumstances, but it's awesome that he hasn't given up.

Awesome episode
it's so satisfying and cool to hear Sendo speaking in Osaka dialect lol
I was cheering for him the whole time, but it also didn't feel right for Volg to lose the match so I was wondering how they would solve that in terms of plot.. the author managed the whole situation masterfully

the result was pretty expected, but the way sendo to win was truly from no-where.

love that sendo doesn't feels as he "won", helps to know he think that he thought the same, too bad the judge didn't reconsider.

ippo farewell from vorg was nice, though it probably won't be last time we will see him.

That's what it is like to fight in the opponent's home. Biased decisions. Plus boxing's final scoring method is also a bit off.

Wow, tough that Sendo wins by unanimous decision just like that. I liked how touching Ippo and Volg's final talk became even though they'd been in the ring together and seen each other's fight with other opponents. I really enjoyed Volg as a character not just a fighter.
