Today we are interviewing one of our dear friends who makes us all laugh, a passionate supporter of The Holoist Society, Leader of the Local Council of The Russian Orthodox Church in The Holoist Society, top gambler of the nation, and the next Magnus Carlsen. Kai! Are you Joe? No I am kai Are you Koisaka? I dont know, I think, I think I am half koisaka Are you Kai? Yes Are you sure? I.... I'm not Who are you? Tell us a little bit about yourself I'm a super cool nice person who is good and kind to others including those who appear different than me because it is bad to judge books by their covers and people too but people arent books and stuff. i am good at playing and not touching hot stuff until is good temperature. How did you get into anime and manga? I was a teenager and i suppose the bright colors and boobies are there solely to enthrall people like me. It wasn't a very long term hobby though, funnily enough I haven't watched any anime in years yet I am active on an anime message board. What are some of your favourite shows and who are your favourite characters/waifus? I love serial experiments lain and tanaka kun is always listless, I dunno about waifus or anything but my favorite character would probably be Yotsuba or of course HOLOOOOOOOOOOOOOO What are your thoughts on Azumanga Daioh and Osaka? Despite the fact that i have never seen an episode of Azumanga Daioh, it is somehow my favorite anime of all time and Osaka is my favorite character ever. What kind of music are you into in general, and do you have any favorite Anime OST's I like slower stuff and stuff from the 90s particularly. my favorite bands are Radiohead, the Flaming Lips, Low, Blur, and the Magnetic Fields. I never really got into anime ost's though I think I would like them now Turkey: Where did you get your username from, or how did you decide it / choose it? I was initially koolkai123. kool name, I know. I then changed it every month or so to another word with kai, eventually I stopped being active for years and my username just so happened to be sekai which has kinda stuck. Outside of anime, what other interests do you have and like to do for fun? I like to read, go to the gym, watch films, and play with toys. recently I've been playing chess with ihateanimebro which has been super fun and I am getting better, almost as good at Magnus Carlson. Nerd: What's your thing with raccoons? Like what specifically made you choose a raccoon for your internet persona? I believe Pinktoast made me the raccoon I am today, I used to be MAL's star and then MAL's fish. now I am MAL's Cyber Raccon. Viraat_Pirate: What's it like being a cyber raccoon from the future and knowing everything that will happen? It's a curse in many ways, being from the distant year of 2026, it is terrible knowing that all my cool friends are going to die in horrific jetski accidents, but its something I live with, also pirate please avoid jetskis for the next 2 years North: How Dare you? I don't know whats wrong with me, I try to be better I really do but I fucked it all up again. I'm sorry north, I really am. I'm me, and that means I'm always going to fuck it up. I really am stupid arent I? pathetic, I don't know why i keep doing it I really don't. How dare I indeed. North: Do you ever think about all the lizards you killed on that wall back in iraq? Yeah it was pretty fucked up lol I used to pretend that I was the hulk and smash them while yelling and hitting my chest and shit, I think they were attracted to the blood of the previous lizards which is why they kept coming back to the wall of death. Fucked up shit North: Do you still wanna fuck Jude Law? Oh yeah ignore the Jennifer Connelly pick asshole Joe: When did his gambling addiction start is he treating it? I should hate him, I really should. but maybe its his button nose, maybe its his rosey cheeks, or the way he is always eating a comically large swirly lollipop. Whatever it is I have a soft spot for the little guy, he makes you want to go to his big little league game. Joe: Are we done with the 1990's?? I used to think so, but Jordan's gambling makes him the goat How did you become interested in Russian history and culture? Same with Russian Orthodox and would you convert to faith? In high school I fell in love with soviet film, it inspired a long standing interest in the Slavic world in its entirety and Russia specifically. I fall more and more in love with the culture and history as time goes on and I learn more. The same extends to Russian Orthodoxy. I've been to quite a few liturgies though I would never convert lol π . That said when I do eventually visit I want to see the Cathedral of Christ the Savior and of course St. Basil among many other smaller churches throughout Moscow Which films you see that make you fall in love? I believe the first soviet film i watched was Tarkovsky's Stalker, after finishing his filmography relatively quickly I branched out to other genres. My favorites are of course Stalker, Gaidai's The Diamond Arm, and of course the classics Battleship Potemkin and the two Ivan the Terrible films from Eisenstein. My favorite Soviet film would be Tarkovsky’s Andrei Rublev though If you could live in the world of an anime you've seen or manga you've read, which would it be and why? Maybe Dragon Ball Z, I remember thinking that the heaven system seemed really lenient. Plus you got Goku defending you. Anything you would like to say to our readers?
