| And so we end with the truth about Granny, the truth about Shiragiku, and a tease of the future. It has been awhile since I've watched your standard harem show, but this one was pretty good I thought. A couple backstories were kinda too similar imo, and the whole confession followed by take-back schtick is never good, but I enjoyed how the characters interacted with each other for the most part. And the girls were pretty damn sexy of course, which is what you need in shows like this. The censorship was kinda shitty though, ngl, but I guess it comes with the territory. I didn't really care for that glimpse into the future either, it was obnoxious more than anything else, but oh well. I certainly enjoyed this well enough to watch the second season. And I'm gonna make a prediction regarding who Hayato ends up with too. Note I'm not a source reader(I see only now that this is a Seo Kouji series. I liked Suzuka and hated Fuuka but I honestly wouldn't have guessed this was by him anyway lol) so no need to reply to me as this is purely a guess but....my gut says he'll end up with...Shiragiku in the end. And if I'm right I'd say he'd do pretty good. She's imo the sexiest of all the girls and second best overall. I'd rank them Akane>Shiragiku>Ami>The Rest. I like Shiragiku's body best followed by Ami's, but Akane has the best personality making her the best overall package. Though I do appreciate Ami's interest in horror and loved the discount Jason mask showing up multiple times, but her klutziness shtick grew old quickly. She has no chance with Hayato though, or if she does the author's done a terrible job of foreshadowing it so far as they've basically had zero romantic interactions to this point. But maybe that'll change in season 2. I'm indifferent on Ouka and Riho. They're hot, sure, but their personalities do nothing for me really. Their episodes were my least favorite. But uh yeah...if you're still reading after my pigish, no doubt sexist comments I'll just say I'm giving this a solid 7/10. Bring on Season 2! Oh, and the opening theme was one of my favorite of the Spring season. Was kinda bummed when it didn't get used in the finale. |

| Goddamn this series is going to play me like Gotoubun. If Riho actually won this, I'll definitely run naked in public. Anyway, as for the series, the arcs are surprisingly okay, or rather, actually I found them good. The first few episodes were so meh that I thought this wil be just my below average anime. |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
| And so it ends. I had to post because I really enjoyed the show! Each girl was great but I'll give the edge to Riho just ever so slightly. I like how she displays all sorts of emotions (jealousy, anger, uncertainty, sultryness, thoughtfulness..though a bit too whiny at times). It just made her feel more real I guess? I was disappointed in her confession but it was true to her character. Akane and Shiragiku are roughly 2nd place. One is a lovely girl and fun drunk, the other is insanely confident (a bit off putting at times) and quite talented. Ami is hilarious and while Ouka is hardly my favorite, she is very pretty. This episode was interesting due to its tease of Hayato's daughter. While not the most unique concept, it does add some fun speculation for the fans. I really like the Grandma backstory, I hope they can keep providing some interesting bits and pieces in season2 because it adds another angle to this romance show. Who will win? Popularity seems to favor Akane. But if not her then I'd say Ouka. They've had little chemistry but she isn't completely oblivious to him either. Of course the author might surprise us with someone else! As much as I like Riho, I don't see her winning and I think she needs to lose to grow (at least at the moment). Can't wait for S2~ |
| Judging by the foreshadowing, looks like the author gonna pull the quintuplets and make ami win. Hayato asking his own daughter to call him sensei because she take the stupidity from her mother is giving away the winner. Unless, hayato ended up marrying all 5 of them and ami is the one living there while the other have their own house. |
| come on, after all those weeks or months you still haven't learned to use other tools to clean up the kitchen? Shiragiku is a danger. Akane had a fun tame-esque way to express how much she was bitter. Damn, overall this season finale plot was predictable until that creep suddenly returned and Hayato already learned how to deal with him. What i didn't expect at all, instead, was the timeskip scene with his daughter, and it was a great twist that improved a already good episode that made his grandmother look like a even better character. Even if... enough, just stop bringing booze with Shiragiku nearby. It didn't fully turn out as expected and who i thought was going to be the best girl out of personal bias for my taste in women (Ami Tsuruga) wasn't as great as in my expectations, also she seems by a long shot the least likely candidate for becoming Hayato's wife. But whatever, i had fun with this series despite some excessive fanservice moments here and there, it did a pretty good job of showing how a cafè / restaurant business works, and i'll return gladly for season 2. |

| Well, that was all round mediocre. Didn't particularly like or hate anything about it. Everyone having some tragic past felt like a cheap attempt at evoking emotion. Ami wasn't covered yet but with a second season we might get so see if she falls into this category too. Despite having a bunch of characters, it felt like there was no one else besides the main cast. Felt pretty shallow because of that. The art and animation quality was good. I saw some people complain about the fan service, but honestly that was the best part of the show. With how passive Hayato was, it seem that drunk Shiragiku would win the race with her aggressiveness. lol |

| First girl is always the best girl, so it better be Shiragiku who won in the end. Childhood friends deserve to win. She also seems the most "wife material" among them. Either it's her or a harem ending. The aho girl would be the worst choice. She should instead be the family pet in the harem ending. Anyway, was a decent enough show as far as entertainment is concerned. Wasn't very original or even done uniquely. Seems like one of the many Gotoubun derivitaves we're going to keep seeing in the coming years. But I did like the emphasis on family and the theme of not only being true to yourself and fulfilling your dreams, but also finding happiness, meaning and purpose in life by living for others. The kind of stuff you won't find in western mediums, especially these days. So overall, it's a 6/10 for me. |

| That was some nice background info on grandma, but... I feel like knowing she was a chef doesn't really change anything. So it felt pretty weak for a last episode. But at least we now established that three of the five girls are already in love with him, with the other two probably following in season 2. And one of them will marry him and they'll have a child, pretty much like it was with the quintuplets as well. This show had a pretty weak start, but then slowly and steadily got better. Still didn't manage to elevate above the usual harem tropes like the MC misunderstanding advances made by the girls. Akane best girl, as expected, it's always the musical girl. 7/10 |

| It really is similar to 5-toubun no Hanayome in many ways, but the MC is better. but also Ami is kinda like Nanami Minami too bad this is censored, but there were many funny and nice moments that ending was also like 5-toubun no Hanayome season 2 ending when they've shown wedding then if all is the same then the mother of that girl would be... |

| Binged this in one day so I could start season 2 while its airing. I thought this was very good. The gags and comedy did get a bit stale, especially when they got repeated (RIP laptop and phone). Riho and Akane are my favorite two for now. Ami is absolutely insufferable. |

| It ended with a bang. Shiragiku is a nice candidate even if she's dull as a character and her boobs are not proportioned to her frame. Her character background is nice. I hate it if the eventual wife is Ami. Hayato's future daughter has a blue hair. |
| Finally a good adaptation of Seo Kouji manga. After the disastrous Fuuka and Kimi no Iru Machi “adaptations” I was rather cautious about any new series based on his manga, but thankfully this is a proper adaptation. |
