We know How Johnny died. Anyway, I don't like him. The stand of Joshua has a good look.

It's brilliant how Jojolion kicks off with so many puzzles. Amnesia, main character identity issues, wall eyes, the Higashikata family and how SBR will fit into the story. Finally some back-story that will clear/mud things up. Is Johnny going to do the 'hit by his own attack' thing again?

Indeed, the mystery is great in Jojolion.
I'm a bit mad because it seems Araki killed off every protagonist in a part again (poor Johnny), but I'm glad my prediction from the first chapter about the corpse being still important was confirmed. We may end up with a family feud this way.

Araki should hurry and give us the names of the new Stands, though. I want a Lady Gaga Stand already.

HOLY FUCKING CHRIST. THAT WAS A BLOODY GOOD CHAPTER.

I take back anything I may have said about Josuke being a slow but intelligent protagonist, he works really fast and is really sharp.

Does Johnny's death have anything to do with the extra Rolling Stones chapter in Vento Aureo?

Did giving Rina the body of Christ cause the Wall Eyes to spawn?

Is there any significance behind the Jizou being erected exactly 6 months prior for an event so long in the past?

And this solidifies my view that Johnny is my favorite. He actually was willing to sacrifice so many things for the people he loved. I wonder if a Caesar equivalent if appear, it didn't mention anything about Gyro having any sort of children or family though.

Legend of Johnny Joestar. That has a nice ring to it that Jonathan never had.

dayum, I was glued to the screen reading the second half of this chapter. Intense shit, wonder where this is going...

Rina becoming sick reminded me of Holly in part 3.

What makes you think that? I see no connection.

For a stand with an Italian user, it had Japanese written on it.
http://jjba.wikia.com/wiki/Rolling_Stones
MUST HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH ROCKS THAT KILL PEOPLE IN JAPAN 3 ARCS LATER, RIGHT?

http://jjba.wikia.com/wiki/Scolippi
My real reason is just me seeing a connection between "Scolippi can be considered to be an overt representation of Jesus Christ." and "Holy Corpse". The method of death was established as a stone on top of Johnny and since Araki had reused the fishing hook stand Beach Boys in the crane hook stand Wired in Steel Ball Run.

Also using similar concepts to depict the new universe as having similar souls like as the old universe, like "Since that's the same end Kars met in Part II, Magenta is most likely his alternate universe counterpart." I can't help but think that Johnny died to anything other than a stand's influence, and that since both deaths had to do with stones/rocks and Jesus Christ, that the connection might be there. I've always wondered why there was an epilogue after the actual story was over, and was trying to put this connection as the reason.

Quickly re-reading the final SBR chapter (or rather flipping through it), how did Johnny even know where the corpse was? (I have to read it more carefully tomorrow, might have missed something)

And how was he planning on opening that vault?

It's also pretty funny how ugly Rina is in that chapter xD

Okay, I guess Steel or Lucy could've just told him.

Talking about Lucy I'm still not sure what exatly happened in the time between Dio's death and Steel's arrival in the church. It was never actually shown how the corpse was locked and I don't quite trust Lucy...her reaction to Steel saying it was right to lock the corpse was suspicious enough.

Scratch that, just took a look at the newest volume. Apparently "Going Underground" is called "Born This Way" now, with Yasuho's Stand being called "Paisley Park". Renaming introduced Stands is a bit iffy and I'd hoped for yasuho to get a Gaga Stand and Holly Paisley Park, but I'm still happy Araki finally included her in his bizarre chronicles.

This can't be so. Johnny killed by a rock..?

Anyway, why does Johnny has the same hat as Josuke? Just a "coincidence"?

No way can a Jojo's protagonist be killed by a rock. Come on, if he have to go down, it have to be in style or against something terrifyingly strong.

Man Johnny died young just like Jonathan from the other universe
How did Johnny get the corpse? wasn't it supposed to be super locked and no one would be able to get it out? or did they not actually lock it?
Looks like Funny Valentine was right about not letting Johnny have the corpse.

Damn, Johnny... Finally is revealed his story after Steel Ball Run Race...
It seems like Rina is going to be investigated by Yasuho and the old man from the pet shop is telling to Josuke all what he knows about the story.

Johnny Joestar
>has one of the most OP stands in JoJo
>gets killed by a falling rock

I'm quite sad though, he was one of my favourite Jojos (along with Part 4 Josuke and Jolyne)

I still don't understand how Josuke got the money though.

The mystery is strong in JoJolion! Johnny Joestar's adventure with Stands and the Holy Corpse didn't end with Steel Ball Run, it seems. Too bad he died like he died, but I'm curious what happened shortly before his death.

So Josuke's bubbles can even carry around bigger objects like money bills. That seems pretty useful! Wonder if he can even take it as far as carrying around a big piano and drop it on someone's head by popping the bubble, lol.

The Shakedown Road mystery still isn't completed, since we don't know the user yet.

But the Johnny thing is more interesting anyway because holy shit, we got so much information about him. So exactly like his other universe counterpart, Jonathan, he was doomed with a short life. God damn it.

So he's going to use the corpse to heal his wife huh.

Can't say I'm thrilled that my Johnny, probably my favourite JoJo character, seemingly had such a pathetic death, but at least he got a peaceful happy life for a little bit with his wife.

Shakedown Road was a great arc though. I really liked different it was, not combat related, not even a Stand User, just a stand power that anyone is capable of using (though mostly the residents). Really cool idea, and for the first time had that sense of community that Part 4 carried (further felt by the old man's talk with Jo2uke after).

I loved seeing the mystery be solved, as Joshu put all the pieces together and tired to use it to his own advantage because he's a dick. Jo2uke completely winning and making a point to say he completely won was awesome too. Probably my favourite "fight" thus far in this part.

Haha Josuke with the "I won completely"
That was a good fight.

Shakedown Road was a great idea. I liked it. Something even the non stand users can use to their advantage without knowing what stands are.

Interested to know more about Johnny's death. Surely, he can't have been killed by a boulder. Right? Right??

I always found Johnny to not be the best "hero" honestly in SBR there were no heros apart from Valentine a man who would do anything to help his nation. And OG world Diego who just wanted a normal life as mayor of Manhattan, Gyro as well. Still it is sad to see him die but Johnny doesn't really compare to Joseph and Jolyne.

Rina seems to have the same disease that holly has. whats up with that?
